Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations are used to explore the microscopic behaviors of complex systems that cannot be easily studied experimentally. In particular, the microphysics of high energy density (HED) astrophysical plasma environments remain inaccessible by modern experiment---even in laser facilities, these plasmas exist only on short timescales that do not lend easily to investigation. The diffusion of point and group defects through crystallized plasmas in the cores of white dwarfs and neutron star crusts, called Coulomb crystals, has potentially macroscopic implications for the evolution of these bodies. This study examines how rape myth narratives are normalized through humor in Nigerian comedy skits. While existing research has identified rape-supportive beliefs in digital entertainment, it has paid less attention to the processes through which these meanings become socially acceptable. Guided by social semiotics, the study analyzes how semiotic resources use humor to normalize rape myth narratives in Nigerian comedy skits. Using a qualitative design, twelve purposively selected Nigerian comedy skits on YouTube were analyzed. While some studies have focused on contraception within the context of gender and types, less focus has been placed on diasporic populations, especially how students navigate tensions surrounding contraception within new cultural environments. The Mahomet Aquifer is a vital groundwater resource in east-central Illinois, supporting municipal, agricultural, and industrial water use. With projected changes in water demand driven by population growth and future socioeconomic conditions, assessing the long-term response of the aquifer is critical for sustainable groundwater management. Increased pumping to meet future demand may contribute to groundwater-level decline, intensified cones of depression, and altered groundwater-flow paths relevant to contaminant migration. Background: Endobronchial tumors, though rare, often present centrally and may cause airway obstruction. Historically managed by pneumonectomy, conservative lung surgery has emerged as a viable alternative with reduced morbidity. Methods: This retrospective study included 69 adult patients with endobronchial tumors treated surgically at Mansoura University between 2005 and 2024. Patients were divided into two groups: Group 1 underwent pneumonectomy; Group 2 non-pneumonectomy. Clinical, radiological and bronchoscopic data were analyzed to identify predictors of successful conservative surgery. Results: Tumor location, proximity to the carina, preserved distal lung tissue, and higher preoperative FEV1% were significantly associated with conservative surgical success. Background: Ovarian Sex Cord-Stromal Tumors (SCST) are a broad category of rare neoplasms that exhibit diagnostic challenges. Alpha-inhibin has been traditionally used as immunohistochemical marker (IHC) for SCST, but restrictions as lack of specificity and variability of cytoplasmic staining evolved.  Forkhead box L2 (FOXL2) is one of the earliest markers of ovarian differentiation and is essential for the normal development of granulosa cells and has been identified to be a sensitive and specific marker of Sex Cord-Stromal differentiation.

Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of using Endovenous Microwave Ablation (EMA) to treat primary small saphenous vein (SSV) incompetence.

Methods: The study was conducted on consecutive limbs with primary SSV incompetence confirmed by Duplex study and had CEAP clinical class C2–C6, between February 2024 and July 2025 at a tertiary referral center. Patients were treated with EMA using the ECO Microwave System Co (Nanjing, China). Primary endpoint included technical success whereas secondary endpoints included post-procedural complications and VCSS changes.

Thirty-eight states have enacted “anti-BDS” laws. These laws require people or entities doing business with the state to certify that they do not participate in the Boycott Divestment Sanction movement against Israel. Typically, these laws define boycott as a “refusal to deal, terminating business, or other actions” that limit commercial relations with Israel or Israeli entities. It is highly contested in the courts and commentary whether these anti-boycott laws violate the First Amendment. Assuming arguendo that the “refusal to deal” and “terminating business” clauses do not implicate the First Amendment, that leaves the residual clause. At least one court and …

Recent studies have examined how students form productive conceptions of the definite integral and discussed techniques for promoting such conceptions. In this paper I present findings from interviews held with six students enrolled in second-semester calculus, four of whom had received quantitatively focused instruction on the definite integral. All six were chosen for their observed use of summation conceptions on definite integral problems, and here their conceptions are explored further. Additionally, we gain insight on their thinking regarding limits as related to the definite integral. This dissertation investigates mercy in the Carolingian period, especially its political dimensions. A sustained, holistic examination of mercy in the early medieval period remains lacking. This study examines mercy not only as a history of an idea but also as a history of emotion, tracing its transformation from the ancient Greek and Roman worlds through patristic literature and into Carolingian political discourse. This study argues that mercy played a central role in the construction of Christian kingship within Carolingian political discourse. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) challenges the constitutional and federalist principles embedded in the Electoral College system. By attempting to bypass the traditional amendment process, the NPVIC risks destabilizing the carefully calibrated balance between state and national sovereignty that has guided presidential elections for centuries. Rooted in federalism, the Electoral College was designed to ensure equitable representation among states, giving smaller and less populous states a meaningful voice in the electoral process.

This Note critiques a pervasive mode of discrimination that goes unchecked. Consular absolutism allows consular immigration officers to make discriminatory visa decisions, which are not subject to review. This Note begins with a discussion of the case law that developed the concept of consular absolutism, primarily by analyzing the Supreme Court’s gloss on the plenary power of the federal government in the realm of immigration. This Note then discusses how courts have built upon the plenary power doctrine to establish consular absolutism.

The problem addressed was the lack of a clear, consistent definition of Limited English Proficiency, despite its influence on funding, programming, assessment, and student placement. The purpose of the study was to clarify how LEP is constructed and used in educational literature and to explore its impact on assessment practices. This study examines the definition of Limited English Proficiency and its implications for educational assessment and special education placement decisions.

Methodology

An integrative literature review, guided by meta-narrative methodology and structural coding, was conducted using 119 peer-reviewed sources from APA PsycInfo, ERIC, and JSTOR (2001–2023).

Pediatric diffuse midline gliomas with H3K27M alteration (H3K27M-pDMG) are the leading cause of pediatric brain tumor-associated deaths. All H3K27M-pDMG are initially treated with fractionated radiotherapy, the standard of care, and most children succumb to their disease within two years of diagnosis. There are no universally effective chemotherapies and full resection is impossible due to the diffuse nature of the tumor and sensitive location. There has not been a significant clinical advancement in more than 40 years.

Patents function as signals as well as rights to exclude. They inform competitors, investors, employees, and consumers about the invention and its owner. How this information affects consumers is not well understood. Existing studies disagree about how advertising a product or service as patented, or patent pending, affects the price consumers will pay. This Article offers the first major empirical study of that question andfinds that consumers behave with surprising rationality: they will not pay any price premium for a patented product. A product's patent status conveys little information about whether it is superior to competing offerings. The results hold …
