In this nonpayment proceeding for a co-op, the landlord moved to dismiss tenant's counterclaims and affirmative defenses, and the tenant cross-moved for discovery. The court largely granted the landlord's motion, severing many counterclaims (including monetary damages, injunctive, and declaratory relief) without prejudice due to Housing Court's limited subject matter jurisdiction. Several affirmative defenses were also dismissed without prejudice for being insufficiently pleaded or devoid of merit. However, the tenant's constructive eviction counterclaim was allowed to proceed. The tenant's motion for discovery was denied as overly broad.

This paper examines the history of the enrolled deeds record series in Jamaica, from its creation in the mid-seventeenth century through to the present day. It is a critical examination of a single record series through colonialism and independence. It examines the purpose of deeds and the context in which deeds registries were created before examining the history of the series through the periods of slavery and emancipation. It examines in close detail the late nineteenth century, when the Island Record Office—which has custody of the enrolled deeds—was created and several other important changes happened. This paper explores archival notations, primarily from the early modern and modern periods, found on the dorse of Norwegian charters dating from the 13th to the 17th century. By examining the notation practices of two prominent Norwegian archivists and collectors, the study further highlights individual efforts in documenting and preserving these materials across various collections. The archival efforts are contextualized historically, noting a transition to systematic archival management. The findings reveal the significance of this largely unexplored component of Norwegian charters as additional historical sources, emphasizing the role of dorsal annotations in provenance research. Uncovering what constitutes polite language in each culture and how certain expressions deemed acceptable in one society might be inappropriate in the other is the focus of politeness. Therefore, this study investigates the variations in communication strategies among speakers of Najdi Arabic, as spoken in Bisha City, and speakers of American English. The study basically explores how individuals from these distinct linguistic backgrounds respond to five different social scenarios. Creating tattoos inspired by the Arkansas Delta proved both fun and informative. I designed a series of 3" x 3" Neo Traditional tattoos that combine symbols unique to the region. Research became a huge part of this project—I started questioning what defines the Delta, what makes Arkansas special. It's a place of contrasts: rich farmland and a history steeped in slavery, Southern hospitality alongside overlooked landmarks. I leaned into that dichotomy and chose three sets of themes that really feel like the Delta. Many images I found were heavy in browns—earthy, grounded, complex. In its broadest form, the “economic loss rule” stands for the proposition that contracting parties who suffer purely economic damages may not recover in tort.1 The doctrine reasons that, in cases where there are no personal injuries or property damage, contract law— and not the law of tort—provides the appropriate avenue for recovery. Choice of court agreements are contractual agreements where parties exercise autonomy to agree on a forum to which the parties are voluntarily subject to should a dispute arise from their commercial transactions or other civil relationships. Exclusivity is an issue concerning how a choice of court agreement is to be enforced. Presumption of exclusivity is a doctrine aimed at ensuring an effective enforcement of the agreement as such. Acceptance of the doctrine has become a growing trend internationally, as illustrated by the 2005 Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreements. Dignity retains its ancient focus on rank and status. This Article, therefore, rejects the idea that we now live in the age of equal dignity, meaning equal rank and status for everyone. Rank underscores numbering, placement, and position in a predetermined hierarchy, and status underscores the power and privileges associated with each rank. Rank permits human beings to identify their preassigned location in the hierarchy, and status justifies assertions of rank since status governs the ancestral privileges, powers, and responsibilities attached to each rank. General-education teachers often feel unprepared to support students with Emotional and Behavior Disorders (EBD), which can foster negative attitudes toward inclusion. Identifying teacher factors that support successful inclusion in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) is needed. This quantitative predictive–correlational study tested whether general-education teachers’ Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) knowledge, classroom-management self-efficacy, and years of experience predict attitudes toward including students with EBD. Using Facebook and LinkedIn, 83 teachers volunteered and completed the General Educators’ Attitudes toward Emotional and Behavioral Disorders Questionnaire, the Efficacy for Classroom Management Scale, and the Knowledge of Special Education Law Survey. Self-efficacious experiences were generally defined as a person’s belief in their ability to perform well in their role as a leader. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore the lived experiences of Black women in Churches of Christ as they perceive and interpret maternal messages about coping with and managing the effects of traumatic experiences. For this study, maternal messages was defined as advice, support, mentorship, or guidance from older Black Christian women to younger Black Christian women.
