Climate change is increasingly displacing populations worldwide, yet existing international and regional legal frameworks, including the 1951 Refugee Convention and the Arab Charter on Human Rights, fail to recognize climate refugees as a protected category. These legal instruments define refugees narrowly, limiting protection to individuals fleeing persecution on specific grounds such as race, religion, or political opinion. As climate change accelerates environmental degradation, resulting in extreme weather events, desertification, and resource scarcity, millions of people are being forced to migrate, often across international borders, without legal recourse or asylum rights. ESG disclosure is a corporate-driven invention that aims to measure progress towards sustainability and disclose environmental and social criteria while fostering value for businesses. EJ, by contrast, emerged as a social movement that evolved into regulatory frameworks. This study investigates certain geometric properties of the normalized k-Bessel function, which is a natural generalization of classical and modified Bessel functions of the first kind. These geometric properties include η-starlikeness, η-uniform convexity, starlikeness associated with exponential function and Bernoulli’s lemniscate, and convexity associated with exponential function and Bernoulli’s lemniscate. Moreover, certain corollaries related to classical and modified Bessel functions are presented by specialising parameters. In addition, some examples and their graphical representations are provided to support the findings of this study.

This Article discusses whether the Lakota Nation still has title to the unceded territories outlined in the Treaty of 1868. While many accounts focus on the supposed diminishment of the Great Sioux Reservation, the question of the unceded lands has largely been forgotten. It has renewed relevance in the context of the Dakota Access Pipeline, which crosses the lands. From a broader perspective, the case raises questions about how history is understood, constructed, and selected in American Indian Law cases. There is palpable tension between tribal sovereignty and federal administrative control in the distribution of federal benefits to members of Tribal Nations. This tension is felt by adopted non-Native children who might struggle to receive federal benefits even though the tribe of their adopted parent(s) has accepted them as a member. While attempting to apprehend suspects, police officers must contend with complex obstacles arising from the arrest's legal, ethical, and sociopolitical context. Officers had to follow their department’s guidelines while also developing legal procedures when carrying out an arrest. The study focused on how an officer’s perception of arrest decisions and procedures encapsulated challenges and ethical dilemmas. Through a semi-structured interview with twenty respondents, this research explored the implications of arresting behaviors on officers’ professional identity formation and development. Ulcers And Eosinophils: A Rare Presentation Of Pdgfra-Rearranged Myeloid Neoplasm Responding To Imatinib, Aura Calderon, Shubhank Goyal, Jose J. Loayza Pintado, Brandon Cantazaro, Everardo Cobos

Myeloid/lymphoid neoplasms with eosinophilia and tyrosine kinase fusions (M/LN-eo-TK) are uncommon but highly treatable disorders. Among them, FIP1L1::PDGFRA–driven disease is distinguished by marked eosinophilia and multisystem involvement that can rapidly reverse with targeted therapy. We describe a 50-year-old man with uncontrolled diabetes who presented with progressive dyspnea, abdominal discomfort, and painful necrotic scrotal ulcers. Laboratory testing revealed leukocytosis with a striking absolute eosinophil count of 22.1 × 10³/µL, while imaging showed pulmonary infiltrates, small-bowel inflammation, and splenomegaly. Bone marrow examination demonstrated hypercellularity with prominent eosinophilic proliferation. Fluorescence in situ hybridization confirmed a PDGFRA rearrangement with CHIC2 deletion, establishing the diagnosis …

Racial bias is linked to poor mental health outcomes and obstructs clinician-client relationships. Mental health clinicians (MHCs) may express implicit bias, expanding disparities for people of color. Mindfulness and motivation to respond without prejudice (MRP) are associated with reduced racial bias, yet few studies have examined these constructs among MHCs. A nonexperimental, retrospective, quantitative, predictive correlational study design was used. This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of African American daughters who grew up with absent fathers, examining how this experience influenced development, relationships, identity formation, and resilience.
