Nursing is one of the most difficult professions, not only physically exhausting but the mental and emotional toll can create havoc for the person’s life (Scala & Drummond, 2016). This DNP project, “Reset”, was founded on the concept of nursing burnout, compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma causing overwhelming stress related to the emergency room nurse and staff. Background: Hepatitis C viral(HCV) infection is a medical condition marked by liver inflammation that represents a significant global public health problem and often causes fibrosis/cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the changes in some biochemical parameters in chronic viral hepatitis c patients in Iraq. Among the biochemical parameters used to measure liver function were total Bilirubin (TBL), direct Bilirubin (DBL), indirect Bilirubin (IBL), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (GOT), and glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(GPT). In this study, the results of demographical picture showed no significant differences between ages among hydatid cyst patients (P= 0.06), while the distribution of hydatid cyst according to residency showed that the distribution rate was 24 (80.0%) in the rural area when compared with its distribution rate in the urban area 6 (20.0%), with a significant difference (P=0.007). Background: Adverse childhood experiences, or ACEs, are traumatic challenges experienced before the age of 18. These adversities have lifelong effects on physiologic and mental health. A relationship has been made between the number of ACEs and occurrences of poor birth outcomes. The toxic stress that accumulates from ACEs compounded by racism increases the risk for poor birth outcomes in women of color. Understanding the importance of screening for these events can mitigate the negative effects on women’s health during and after gestation. Efficacy Of Cloves As A Repellent For Pest Ants (Formicidae), Aadee Malavade

I examined the efficacy of cloves for repellent activity against foraging ants. Control baits consisting of a cracker/paper substrate topped with granulated sugar or chapati (Indian bread) were presented next to treatment baits (cracker/paper, granulated sugar and spice spread over the sugar) to ants in natural habitats. After an hour, the numbers of ants recruiting to the control and treatment baits were recorded. A timed study of ants with 30-minute duration was done to understand behavior of ants over time. Data were analyzed with the sign test. Cloves showed promise as ant repellents.

Purpose: Neuropathic pain has been linked with mental health concerns such as anxiety and wellbeing, but specific symptoms of neuropathic pain have had much less attention than the construct as a whole. Paresthesia, meaning “abnormal sensation” (tingling, numbness, pins and needles, impaired sensation, and itching) is a neuropathic pain symptom. Tissue compression is the most common cause of peripheral neuropathy (PN) as well as paresthesia. During the analysis of a collection of Pseudomonas strains linked to an outbreak in an intensive care unit at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in 2019, one isolate (CFS3442T) was identified phenotypically as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. However, whole-genome sequencing revealed its true identity as a member of the genus Stenotrophomonas, distinct from both P. aeruginosa and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. The isolate demonstrated: (i) a significant phylogenetic distance from P. aeruginosa; (ii) considerable genomic differences from several S. maltophilia reference strains and other Stenotrophomonas species; and (iii) unique phenotypic characteristics. This study generated bioactive hydrolysates using the enzyme Alcalase and autolysis from mesopelagic fish, including Maurolicus muelleri and Benthosema glaciale. Generated hydrolysates were investigated for their bioactivities using in vitro bioassays, and bioactive peptides were identified using mass spectrometry in active hydrolysates with cyclooxygenase, dipeptidyl peptidase IV and antioxidant activities. In silico analysis was employed to rank identified peptide sequences in terms of overall bioactivity using programmes including Peptide Ranker, PrepAIP, Umami-MRNN and AntiDMPpred. Metonitazene and isotonitazene are two benzimidazole opioids that are contributing to the opioid crisis nationwide. Limited pharmacokinetic data has been published on these nitazene compounds, therefore this study sought to determine if these two structurally similar opioids would have comparable half-lives and clearance utilizing in vitro and in vivo models. Using the data determined in the pharmacokinetic study, and by testing human postmortem cases, this study aimed to inform interpretation of these drugs detected in human casework.
