Background: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a sexually transmitted virus that causes various oropharyngeal and anogenital cancers. The HPV vaccine provides protection against several strains of HPV and is a key preventative tool against HPV-related cancers; however, vaccination rates remain suboptimal in the United States due to variable state mandates and misperceptions of vaccine efficacy and risks. As social media becomes an increasingly popular avenue for health discussions, platforms such as Reddit offer opportunities to understand public vaccine discourse, particularly among underrepresented groups. Furthermore, vaccine hesitancy and mistrust generally increased during the COVID-19 pandemic, potentially impacting HPV vaccination rates.

We present a method of estimating model parameters for non-linear ODEs using least-squares regression. The coefficient of determination can be used as a measure of model fit. The method is demonstrated using US population data to fit a logistic growth model. Also, a competing species model is used to describe the interaction of two different species of yeast.

Drawing upon the environmental impacts of oil palm and environmental justice frameworks, this study critically analyses what issues associated with the negative image of oil palm on social media, particularly Twitter (currently X) and Facebook addressed by Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and research institutes in Indonesia. How do rapidly aging societies govern longevity when demographic change threatens established welfare arrangements? This thesis examines aging governance in China, Japan, and South Korea to show how states simultaneously manage aging as a public-health problem and build it into an economic sector through what I term life capitalism.

Two interpretations of East Asian aging policy are widely circulated: that it is a peripheral case of Western neoliberalism, or a residue of Confucian familism. This review aims to examine the strategic role of pharmacists in preventing antibiotic resistance through interventions at different points of healthcare services. While the discussion addresses the global pharmacist role, this review places particular emphasis on resource-limited settings, such as those in developing countries, where access to antibiotics is relatively unrestricted, regulatory enforcement is weak, and self-medication practices are more prevalent. In vivo microscopy (IVM) has shown great promise to improve early detection of epithelial precancer, but it suffers from fundamental trade-offs that limit the resolution, field-of-view (FOV) and depth-of-field (DOF). Here, we present PrecisionView, a compact, deep learning-enabled endomicroscope that breaks these constraints and achieves 20 mm2 FOV and 500 µm DOF with 4 µm resolution, representing approximately 5× increase in FOV and 8× larger DOF compared to conventional IVM with similar resolution. This study proposes a framework for examining the spatiotemporal characteristics of drought in Anbar Governorate, Iraq, for both historical and future periods, using LARS-WG, five CMIP6 GCMs (SSP245 and SSP585), a Drought Index Calculator, and GIS tools. The Reconnaissance Drought Index (RDI-12) was used to evaluate the spatial-temporal patterns of drought frequency and severity at seven meteorological stations between 1985 and 2015 and between 2021 and 2040. The main conclusions from the study included that LARS-WG performs successfully for climatic factor projection. This article addresses the judicial duty to explain a decision that is informed by the output of a predictive algorithm. In discharging this duty, courts generally point to evidence about how the algorithm performs: the reason for using an algorithm just is that it makes accurate predictions for all groups within the target population, without causing unjustified disparities between them. As predictive performance can be validated statistically, judges have not sought access to the algorithm itself. The image of the shōjo (adolescent girl) in Japanese popular culture has long functioned as a dynamic site for negotiating gender identity and the divide between vulnerable innocence and empowerment. Anime and manga have historically provided evolving portrayals of adolescent girl and young woman characters who have embodied subversive potential while also being constrained by idealised notions of girlhood. Hindi cinema has witnessed a transformation in the portrayal of rape narratives subsequent to India’s Nirbhaya rape case in 2012 and the global #MeToo movement in 2017. The rape narratives released after the #MeToo movement are characterised by a departure from the stereotypical depiction of rape victims as forlorn and vulnerable figures; instead, they are depicted as assertive and empowered survivors that challenge entrenched power dynamics. There is limited scholarly literature on the topic of women and stress in the agricultural industry, so this research study aims to fill this gap by reporting on the challenging lived experiences of women working in agriculture—a frequently overlooked population. Through acts of shopping for groceries, cooking local Singaporean cuisine, and rejecting the communal temple food associated with shame and social discrimination, the novel highlights the family’s aspirations of social mobility shaped by the character Jini’s childhood experiences of food and economic scarcity. The exclusion of women and racial minorities from research currently compromises the generalizability of findings. Native American women, are particularly underrepresented in clinical trials due to the complicated history between Native American health and the US government. Congress, the NIH, and the FDA are the most prominent actors involved in regulating the diversity of clinical trial participants.
