IMPORTANCE: The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) guidelines on preeclampsia risk assessment and aspirin prophylaxis (AP) have not been evaluated for clinical utility.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate which characteristics in the USPSTF guidelines identify risk status and the association of preeclampsia risk with AP recommendations.

DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS: This observational cohort study enrolled from July 2020 to March 2023 with data analysis performed from October to December 2024. Background: Hospital-acquired (HA) bleeding in medical inpatients is a serious complication with limited tools to predict risk.

Objectives: This study aimed to develop and validate risk assessment models (RAMs) for anatomic location-specific HA bleeding in medical inpatients using objective and routinely available risk factors.

Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) have emerged as powerful vectors for liquid biopsy, offering a noninvasive window into the dynamic physiological and pathological states of the body. However, to fully leverage the clinical potential of sEV biomarkers, it is imperative to develop robust and efficient technologies for their isolation and analysis. Native and invasive plants of the riverain region undergo a range of environmental stresses that result in excess reactive oxygen species (ROS). Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a relatively stable and quickly quantifiable way among different ROS. The herbaceous species including Artemisia princeps, Sicyos angulatus, and Solidago altissima were selected. My dissertation consists of four chapters focused on understanding the factors maintaining local species diversity, addressing a central goal of ecology increasingly critical for preserving ecosystem services and human well-being in the face of climate change. Specifically, I investigate how local neighborhoods – that is, the spatial arrangement, density, and identity of nearby competitors – contribute to patterns of growth and survival along gradients of ecological disturbance and environmental change using forest tree communities as a study system. In the coastal marine ecosystem of the Black Sea, Diplostraca is the second most dominant mesozooplankton after Copepoda. Its parthenogenetic reproductive strategy enables significant population growth from spring (March) to fall (December), contributing substantially to mesozooplankton abundance. This study investigated the fecundity, embryonic development stages, and population structure of four of Diplostraca species in Hamsilos Bay: Evadne spinifera, Pleopis polyphemoides, Penilia avirostris, and Pseudevadne tergestina. This study investigated the impact of different levels of Codium fragile macroalgae (CF) dietary supplementation combined with a fixed concentration of 0.05% fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill. var. dulce Mill.) essential oil (FO) on the growth performance, enzyme activity, and hepatopancreas histological changes of juvenile narrow-clawed crayfish Pontastacus leptodactylus (initial average weight = 0.25 ± 0.04 g). A 90-day feeding trial was conducted using four experimental groups: CF + FO (control), 1% CF + FO, 2% CF + FO, and 4% CF + FO. The essential oil yield obtained from the fennel seeds was 2.4%. This study reports the first documented case of melanism in the Caucasian squirrel (Sciurus anomalus) from Türkiye. While melanism has been documented in 12 other species within the Sciurus genus, it has not previously been recorded in S. anomalus. The observation was made during a herpetological field survey in Erzincan Province, Türkiye, where a melanistic specimen was photographed in a mixed habitat comprising natural vegetation and cultivated land. Neuroactive steroids (NAS) have long been recognized for their hypnotic and anesthetic properties in both clinical and preclinical settings. While sex differences in NAS sensitivity are acknowledged, the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Here, we examined sex-specific responses to an endogenous NAS epipregnanolone (EpiP) in wild-type mice using behavioral assessment of hypnosis (loss of righting reflex, LORR) and in vivo electrophysiological recordings. Specifically, local field potentials (LFPs) were recorded from the central medial thalamus (CMT) and electroencephalogram (EEG) signals were recorded from the barrel cortex. This study explores the production of cancrinite (CAN) zeolite from bentonite found in Toraja (a place in South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia) and its effectiveness in removing Pb²⁺ and Fe³⁺ ions from wastewater. The synthesis was carried out using a hydrothermal method with varying NaOH concentrations, where a single phase of zeolite was formed at 5 M, as confirmed through XRD analysis. Immunotherapy is a promising treatment approach by targeting immune checkpoints such as CTLA-4 and PD-L1 to overcome cancer progression. The utilization of Curcuma longa and Phyllanthus niruri as potential immune checkpoint inhibitors offers an alternative cancer therapy. Computational analyses including molecular docking and molecular dynamics with validation using Molecular Mechanics/Poisson-Boltzmann Surface Area (MM-PBSA), Dynamic Cross-Correlation Matrix (DCCM), and Principal Component Analysis (PCA), were performed in this study. Hybrid analogue-digital computers have been shown to have certain advantages over traditional digital computers when solving nonlinear partial differential equations. Motivated by this fact, we implement the Lorenz equations on an analogue electronic computer and vary the parameters to analyze the bifurcations. With the working circuit, we compared experimental results to various digital simulations to assess the effectiveness of our circuit. We find clear qualitative agreement between the physical circuit and digital simulations; however, we observe a noticeable quantitative difference in behavior. This meta-analysis reviewed interleukin 6 (IL-6) levels across various tumour stages, compared transdermal and oral estradiol levels on IL-6 and C-reactive protein (CRP), and examined the IL-6 and tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a) levels in healthy versus breast cancer patients. This analysis covers studies from 2003 to 2020.

Results: IL-6 can be used as a prognostic biomarker for breast cancer, as levels are seen to increase as the cancer stage advances. Problem: In the U.S., postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is attributed to maternal morbidity and mortality, resulting in long-lasting effects of extended recoveries, surgical interventions, birth-related trauma, interruptions in mother-infant bonding, or death. Performing estimated blood loss (EBL) measurement methods postpartum is subjective and often associated with over- and underestimations of blood volume. The delay in recognition interferes with timely, efficient, and appropriate interventions, yielding a PPH (≥1000ml).
