As collaborative digital tools and shared-screen applications proliferate, it has become essential to examine how group dynamics and physical layout jointly influence user experience. In this work, we explored how the combination of spatial setting and gender composition shapes interaction in a two- player digital game. Eleven dyads (22 participants) — composed of female–female, male–male, and mixed-gender pairs — played a self-developed iPad table-tennis game under two contrasting conditions: seated face-to-face at the same table and playing remotely from separate rooms. The I.N.S.E.C.T. Summer camps are annual gatherings of interdisciplinary scholars and practitioners exploring more-than-human perspectives through creative, embodied, and ecological practices. They take place in a scout camp in Hvalsø, Denmark. This area belongs to the Skoldjungernes Land („Land of the Turtles “) National Park where the Bidstrup forest meets the Særløse Overdrev grasslands. The 2024 Summercamp focused on vibration as a sensory and communicative modality shared among humans, plants, and insects. This study addresses the pervasive "innovation-delivery fracture" phenomenon in Taiwan's regional revitalization policy by proposing a Double-Helix Integration Model that non-linearly interweaves Design Thinking (exploration helix) with Lean Thinking (delivery helix). Therefore, this study proposes an interactive home-based mandibular rehabilitation training system that integrates force sensing and computer vision. This study investigated generative AI's impact on design students' critical thinking and creative achievement through a counterbalanced within-subjects experiment with 61 university students in southern China. Participants were randomly assigned to two groups: Group A used traditional tools (Adobe software, handmade methods) followed by AI tools (Midjourney, DALL-E), while Group B used the reverse order. Students created graphic posters on different but comparable themes with a two- week interval between sessions. Data were collected through pre- and post-surveys using composite scores, blind expert evaluations of the design outputs, and focus group interviews. This study presents a co-design process for developing tools that foster critical data literacy in K–12 education through dialogic learning opportunities. Adopting a research-through-design approach, we explore how teachers and interdisciplinary researchers can co-create con textually grounded, pedagogy- informed learning artefacts. In this paper, we document the co-design process, describe the resulting artefacts, and report classroom observations involving 40 students and two teachers using these tools in a primary school. Our findings highlight: (i) how artefact-enabled dialogic learning opportunities shaped children’s learning experiences and (ii) the process and outcomes of interdisciplinary co-design with teachers. This study investigates the material and experiential potential of bamboo craft waste through a practice-led research approach. This paper introduces MuSE (Multispecies Sensory Engagement), an interactive silicone bioreactor designed to create emotional bonds between humans and kombucha SCOBY microorganisms. Guided by a More-than-Human-Centered-Design (MtHCD) and Research through Design (RtD) framework, this project applies the concepts of exposure therapy and embodied cognition to biology-based HCI, using an auto-ethnographic approach to explore how sensory interactions can shift human perceptions of less relatable life forms. AI hallucination and bias are commonly viewed as flaws, leading to a premature narrowing of their design space and an under-exploration of their potential to enrich community ties and meaning of place. Focusing on digital placemaking context, this research investigates how innocuous AI imperfections could foster interaction and connection between intercultural communities. We conducted workshops with Dutch locals and migrants who co-created and interacted with Generative AI applications that produced diverse content about places. Contemporary visual warning systems primarily rely on conspicuity—using strong contrasts in color, brightness, and spatial arrangement—to attract attention. However, these systems often fail to ensure accurate interpretation and appropriate user response, particularly among cognitively vulnerable populations and within complex environments. To complement this limitation, this study introduces the concept of distinctiveness as a perceptual factor that enhances discrimination and interpretation in visual warning perception. This study proposes an ontological redefinition of empathy in design practice. Empathy has been conventionally framed as a cognitive means for understanding users, often through techniques such as observation and interviews. In contrast, this study reconceptualizes empathy as a mode of being that emerges within relationships—including those involving more-than-human entities such as nature and things. Modern healthcare devices quantify bodily states through data, yet users rarely feel a direct bodily connection. This study introduces abdominal suppleness—the softness of the upper abdomen during respiration—as a new embodied health indicator. Integrating traditional Japanese abdominal examination (Fukushin) with physiological measurement, we examined how autonomic activity affects abdominal motion. Experiments using the ocul ocardiac reflex showed slower and deeper abdominal movement under parasympathetic dominance, suggesting that suppleness relates to relaxation. Ethnic clothing is a vital carrier of cultural identity, yet its digital preservation often results in static displays that fail to convey deep cultural meaning or foster user engagement. Existing practices lack a systematic design framework for translating the hierarchical cultural connotations of these garments into dynamic, personalized, and identity-promoting digital experiences. This paper examines the transformative impact of Sense of Agency (SoA) in human-intelligent agent collaboration, arguing that multi-agent AI systems fundamentally reconfigure agency dynamics beyond traditional tool metaphors. Through philosophical analysis (intentional agency), empirical case studies (e.g., AlphaGo, TikTok algorithms, DALL·E), and socio technical critique, we identify five pivotal consequences of multi-agent systems: (1) the emergence of human-like agency in AI, challenging boundaries of consciousness and moral treatment; (2) negotiation of agency, where humans perceive AI as competitors or collaborators; (3) synergetic co-evolution, evidenced by reciprocal capability enhancement in human-AI partnerships; (4) AI-driven cultural production of cognitively inaccessible creative combinations; …

Bamboo, as a renewable and sustainable material, offers significant potential to replace conventional resources such as wood, plastics, and metals. This study explores a bionic design approach that integrates bamboo craftsmanship with product and musical instrument design, resulting in a multi functional prototype that functions both as a rocking chair and a resonance drum. The research process followed three main stages: material analysis, concept development, and prototype production.
