Effectiveness Of An Outcomes-Based Education Module In Electrochemistry For Engineering Students, Reden E. Nolasco
Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan
This study investigated the effectiveness of an Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) module in electrochemistry for engineering students. Students' conceptual knowledge and problem-solving abilities were assessed using a quasi-experimental design that included pre-and post-tests. The experimental group used the OBE module, while the control group received traditional instruction. Statistical tests, including t-tests and correlation analysis, established the module's impact. The post-test scores of the experimental group differed significantly from those of the control group. Faculty and student assessments verified the module's effectiveness in content quality, instructional approach, and learning effectiveness. The study concludes that OBE instructional materials improve learning outcomes and suggest …

Students' creative thinking can be improved through engaging teaching materials. PBL-based e-modules, which are interactive and student-centered, can address this need. However, teachers at Giovanni Kupang Catholic High School lack such resources. This study developed a PBL-based biology e-module using the Lee and Owens model to enhance creative thinking in Class XI students. Implemented in the 2022/2023 semester, the e-module showed significant improvement (N-gain score of 0.70) with the strongest impact on divergent thinking (0.82). These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of PBL-based e-modules in fostering creative thinking skills in biology education.

Nanotechnology Research Centre
This investigation explores the influence of substrate temperature on the photodetection characteristics of indium-doped cadmium selenide (In:CdSe) thin films, addressing a critical gap in understanding how deposition parameters affect the optoelectronic properties of these materials. The study systematically analyzes the effects of substrate temperatures ranging from 30 °C to 250 °C on thermally evaporated In:CdSe films through comprehensive structural and morphological characterization. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) analyses reveal enhanced crystallinity and well-defined nanostructured surface morphology up to 100 °C, with distinct nanorod formations emerging at 200 °C. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) confirms the selenium-rich …

The rapid digital transformation in education has exacerbated persistent gaps in accessibility, inclusion, and engagement, particularly within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines. A critical disconnect exists between the ubiquitous use of digital tools and the comprehension of their underlying principles. This research addresses this gap by developing and studying innovative, hands-on pedagogical strategies designed to democratize technological knowledge. Our project is centered on the design, implementation, and analysis of "The Island of Automatic Sounds" (LISA.26), an artistic sound installation conceived as an interactive "musical island." This environment enables children and families to explore and cocreate music through bodily …
