Economic Development And Its Transformation In Happiness: A Perspective Of Sustainable Development Goals Of Nepal, Dhruba Bhattarai, Bishnu Bhattarai
Economic Development And Its Transformation In Happiness: A Perspective Of Sustainable Development Goals Of Nepal, Dhruba Bhattarai, Bishnu Bhattarai
Journal of Global Awareness
The present paper attempts to explore the relationship between GDP Per Capita Income based economic measurements of people’s well-being in the form of happiness. The overall development of a country’s economy must be translated into people’s well-being and happiness, which the study focuses on using the relevant data. The secondary data of the Human Development Index, Gross Domestic Product, Per Capita Income, and Happiness Index for the last 20 years have been collected and analyzed. To assess the psychological aspects of the happiness concept, the relevant happiness indicators such as life expectancy, educational attainment, and index of economic freedom have …
Effects Of External Debt On Inflation In The West African Monetary Zone (Wamz), Collins Anosike
Effects Of External Debt On Inflation In The West African Monetary Zone (Wamz), Collins Anosike
Journal of Global Awareness
This research examined the effect of external public debt on inflation in the West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ) using annual data from 1960 to 2022. The study selected the six member countries of WAMZ, namely: Gambia, Guinea, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Ghana, to examine their economic well-being, growth performance, external debt, and inflation over a 63-year period. This study is unique because it examines three periods, namely: pre-WAMZ (1960 to 2000); during WAMZ (2001 to 2022); and the entire period (1960 to 2022), extends previous studies by using updated data, and then shows the long-run positive effect of external …

Tripping The Light Fantastic: Using Light-Based Technics To Digitally Document Megalithic Architecture, Eimear Meegan, Maurice Murphy Dr, A. Corns
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
This paper presents and discusses the preliminary results of a small scale visualisation project as part of which the low-cost LiDAR scanner that now comes as standard with the iPad Pro was used in conjunction with both the Arctec Leo structured light scanner and photogrammetric survey methods to record, analyse and present the recently excavated remains of a Neolithic passage tomb at Dowth Hall, Co, Meath, Ireland. It considers the ease and speed with which the small to medium scale structural components found here can be scanned or photographed, meshed, and textured using each approach and further explores whether the …
Armagh Observatory –Historic Building Information Modelling For Virtual Learning In Building Conservation, Maurice Murphy Dr., Alain Chenaux, Garrett Keenaghan
Armagh Observatory –Historic Building Information Modelling For Virtual Learning In Building Conservation, Maurice Murphy Dr., Alain Chenaux, Garrett Keenaghan
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
In this paper the recording and design for a Virtual Reality Immersive Model of Armagh Observatory is presented, which will replicate the historic buildings and landscape with distant meridian markers and position of its principal historic instruments within a model of the night sky showing the position of bright stars. The virtual reality model can be used for educational purposes allowing the instruments within the historic building model to be manipulated within 3D space to demonstrate how the position measurements of stars were made in the 18th century. A description is given of current student and researchers activities concerning on-site …
Parametric Vector Modelling Of Laser And Image Surveys Of 17th Century Classical Architecture In Dublin, Maurice Murphy Dr, Eugene Mcgovern, Sara Pavia
Parametric Vector Modelling Of Laser And Image Surveys Of 17th Century Classical Architecture In Dublin, Maurice Murphy Dr, Eugene Mcgovern, Sara Pavia
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
The product of a laser scan survey of a building or artefact is a point cloud which defines the geometry of the object, and when combined with image data the object edges and material textures can be identified. The point cloud survey is useful for visualisation and also as a record of the 3D surfaces of an object. Where conserva-tion or restoration work is to be carried out on the object conventional orthographic or 3D survey drawings are required. Survey drawings can be created by mapping vectors on to the point cloud or textured point cloud. This is a complex …

A Review Of 3d Gis For Use In Creating Virtual Historic Dublin, Alain Chenaux, Maurice Murphy Dr, Sara Pavia
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
This paper illustrates how BIM integration with GIS is approached as part of the workflow in creating Virtual Historic Dublin. A design for a WEB based interactive 3D model of historic buildings and centres in Dublin City (Virtual Historic Dublin City) paralleling smart city initiates is now under construction and led by the National Monuments at the Office of Public Works in Ireland. The aim is to facilitate the conservation and maintenance of historic infrastructure and fabric and the dissemination of knowledge for education and cultural tourism using an extensive Historic Building Information Model. Remote sensing data is now processed …

An Initial Design Framework For Virtual Historic Dublin, Maurice Murphy Dr, Sara Pavia
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
As a single coherent model, the proposed Virtual Historic Dublin City will improve the current approaches for planning, conserving, presenting and interpreting cultural heritage buildings and their environments. The combination of digital recording, modelling and data management systems enable the interaction with complex, interlinked three-dimensional structures containing rich and diverse underlying data. End users can encompass architectural and engineering conservation, education and research, in addition to public engagement and cultural tourism. In this paper a digital design framework is presented, based on state of the art current approaches for recording, modelling and presenting Virtual Historic Dublin. The modelling sites and …
Developing Historic Building Information Modelling Guidelines And Procedures For Architectural Heritage In Ireland, Maurice Murphy Dr, A. Corns
Developing Historic Building Information Modelling Guidelines And Procedures For Architectural Heritage In Ireland, Maurice Murphy Dr, A. Corns
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
Cultural heritage researchers have recently begun applying Building Information Modelling (BIM) to historic buildings. The model is comprised of intelligent objects with semantic attributes which represent the elements of a building structure and are organised within a 3D virtual environment. Case studies in Ireland are used to test and develop the suitable systems for (a) data capture/digital surveying/processing (b) developing library of architectural components and (c) mapping these architectural components onto the laser scan or digital survey to relate the intelligent virtual representation of a historic structure (HBIM). While BIM platforms have the potential to create a virtual and intelligent …
Historic Building Information Modelling - Adding Intelligence To Laser And Image Based Surveys, Maurice Murphy Dr, Eugene Mcgovern, Sara Pavia
Historic Building Information Modelling - Adding Intelligence To Laser And Image Based Surveys, Maurice Murphy Dr, Eugene Mcgovern, Sara Pavia
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
Historic Building Information Modelling (HBIM) is a novel prototype library of parametric objects based on historic data and a system of cross platform programmes for mapping parametric objects onto a point cloud and image survey data. The HBIM process be-gins with remote collection of survey data using a terrestrial laser scanner combined with digital photo modelling. The next stage in-volves the design and construction of a parametric library of objects, which are based on the manuscripts ranging from Vitruvius to 18th century architectural pattern books. In building parametric objects, the problem of file format and exchange of data has been …

Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
Recent years have seen considerable advances in methods for virtual representation, digital recording, and documentation of built heritage. Despite these technological developments, the cultural heritage sector in Ireland has yet to fully embrace and integrate these innovations into standard practice. A clear gap remains between research-driven advancements and practical, widespread application within heritage organisations and among professionals. Bridging this gap is essential to ensuring that new approaches become embedded in the everyday workflows of the sector.
