There are many common myths and misunderstandings associated with kratom. Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a tropical tree native to Southeast Asia. In recent years, kratom use has grown in the United States. It is sold in various forms, including capsules, powders, and most commonly as liquid extracts or “shots." These kratom products are promoted as health supplements, advertised for benefits such as boosting energy, enhancing mood, or producing opioid-like effects. However, most users may not fully understand what they are consuming or the potential risks it carries. Commercial kratom products vary widely in their chemical composition. Synthetic (human-made) or …

From Private Custody To Public Policy: The Politics Of State Responsibility For Post-Divorce Abandoned Children (Hadhanah) In Serang, Indonesia, Ali Faisal, Naf’An Tarihoran, B Syafuri, Nurul Ma’Rifah
Jurnal Wacana Politik
This article examines how hadhanah (child custody and care) can be reframed from a private family matter into a public policy issue, positioning the state as a responsible actor when children become abandoned after divorce. Drawing on a normative–juridical and qualitative socio-legal analysis of Islamic family law, national legislation, and municipal policy instruments, the study uses Serang City as an illustrative case of policy urgency. The findings demonstrate a systematic implementation gap between Indonesia’s constitutional mandate to care for abandoned children and local-level governance practice: (1) a legal–administrative gap, where court-based custody decisions and parental obligations do not automatically trigger …

Beef cattle are meat-producing cattle used for fulfilling and improving people's nutrition. The increase in the beef cattle population in Indonesia has not fully met the demand for meat nationally due to the low productivity of local livestock. Low livestock productivity can occur due to livestock health factors, one of them being caused by worm parasites infection. This disease causes economic loss, resulting in lower growth and weight gain, and can lead to death. A qualitative examination, stool test is needed for a qualitative examination to identify gastrointestinal parasites in livestock, especially the type and degree of infection. This study …
