Pediatric obesity and physical inactivity remain significant public health concerns, yet many pediatric providers report limited training, time, and resources to deliver effective physical activity counseling. The purpose of this pilot study was to examine pediatric providers’ familiarity with physical activity guidelines, confidence in counseling, perceived barriers, and attitudes towards integrating exercise professionals into pediatric care in Eastern North Carolina. A secondary aim evaluated the feasibility of engaging regional practices using a structured recruitment strategy. Sarcopenia, characterized by the progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass, strength, and function, is a geriatric syndrome with a significantly increased incidence with age. This study aims to analyze the fast-food consumption behavior among physically active college students in a university in Beijing and provide a scientific basis for future nutritional education and intervention strategies targeting this population. A simple random sampling method was used to select 850 undergraduate students from a sports-focused university in Beijing. Data on fast-food consumption were collected through a self-administered questionnaire. Biological aging arises from the accumulation of molecular changes or “hallmarks”, which can represent a person's aging status than chronological age. Introduction Gestational weight gain (GWG) is an important indicator of maternal nutrition to be monitored during pregnancy. However, there is no evidence-based tool that can be used to monitor it across all geographic locations and pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI) categories. The WHO is undertaking a project to develop GWG charts by pre-pregnancy BMI category, and to identify GWG ranges associated with the lowest risks of adverse maternal and infant outcomes. This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of African American daughters who grew up with absent fathers, examining how this experience influenced development, relationships, identity formation, and resilience. Through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, six central themes emerged: (1) father-daughter relationship, (2) emotional and psychological impact, (3) identity and development, (4) social and relational outcomes, (5) decision-making and achievement, and (6) resilience and adaptation. Each theme was interpreted through the lens of attachment and social learning theories with a biblical worldview. A shared understanding of this issue enables us to recognize the uniqueness of each individual’s experience, supported by the consistent commitment of trauma-saturated professionals. But what happens when these individuals become so accustomed to trauma that they can no longer recognize it as such? When their professional identity is inherently tied to continuous exposure to trauma, they may unconsciously adopt emotional distancing as a coping mechanism, which can appear to others as a fixed personality trait or lifestyle, even outside the workplace. [Objective] To obtain the best strain combination for fermenting traditional kombucha by screening the bacterial strains. [Objective] To establish a shelf-life prediction model for oil-preserved meat based on total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N). [Methods] Under the storage conditions of 4, 25, and 37 ℃, changes in the following parameters of oil-preserved meat are determined: water activity, pH value, TVB-N value, thiobarbituric acid (TBARS value), peroxide value (POV value), and sensory quality. A comprehensive analysis is conducted using the first-order kinetic model and the Arrhenius equation. As safe food resources, they are characterized by multi-targeting and high consumer acceptability. This review primarily focuses on the preparation technologies, structural analysis, structure-activity relationships, and mechanisms of bioactive peptides derived from food sources. Furthermore, current achievements are summarized in the field of immunomodulation by the peptides, while perspectives are offered.

Anthocyanin-loaded freshness indicator films can intuitively reflect the freshness of aquatic products through color changes. They are pH-sensitive and have characteristics such as natural safety and antioxidant properties. Although there have been a large number of studies on them, they still face huge challenges in aspects such as color development, stability, and sensitivity.
