Journal of Wellness
Introduction: Healthcare worker wellness has received increasing attention from medical educators and healthcare systems given its importance to provider longevity and patient care. Wellness is multidimensional, and very few instruments evaluate all domains of wellness. Our team developed a comprehensive measure to evaluate the multi-dimensional nature of wellness. The purposes of this study were divided into four phases: phase 1) detail the development, design, and initial dissemination of the instrument, phase 2) collect feasibility and normative data for a diverse sample of healthcare workers, phase 3) evaluate the internal reliability of the measure and its component domains, and phase 4) …

This report describes a female patient in her 60s with an immune-mediated necrotising myopathy (IMNM) occurring after semaglutide use. She was found to have progressive dysphagia, dysphonia, proximal muscle weakness and creatine kinase elevation over a 4-month course. Her symptoms were preceded by a single dose of semaglutide. Her work-up revealed features consistent with necrotising myopathy with inflammatory infiltrate on biopsy, and she responded to immunosuppression with corticosteroids and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG). She gradually improved and successfully returned to her baseline functional status while off immunosuppression for several months and with continued avoidance of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. Here, …

Haruan is a kind of freshwater fishes commonly found in South Kalimantan. Haruan extract contains nutritional substances
such as albumin, Zn, Fe, Cu, and unsaturated fatty acid which can help accelerate wound healing. The aim of this study
was to histopathologically assess the effect of 100%, 50%, and 25%haruan extract compared to aquadest and ibuprofen
on macrophages count in inflammation phase of wistar rats’ buccal mucosa wound healing. This research was a true
experimental with post test-only with control design. Samples used were 30 wistar rats divided into 5 groups, 100%, 50%,

Cardiovascular and periodontal diseases are common inflammatory conditions in the human population. Tlymphocytes
participate
in
the
pathogenesis and inflammatory events of atherosclerosis. These immune cells enter the
inflamed artery wall and join macrophages via a number of interferon-c-inducible chemokines. Chemokines (IL-8),
cytokines, and growth factors also participate in this process. The interaction between interleukin- 8 and its receptor,
CXCR2, can also contribute to lesion formation in mice. The main causes of aggressive periodontitis is

Caries in infant was influenced by their substrat. Substrats are the primary source of energy in bacterial colonising
process in oral cavity. Streptococcus mutans are especially the main cause of tooth decay. For 1-year-old infant the
primary nutritions are generally from breast milk or formula milk. This study was aimed to determine the different
numbers of bacterial colonizations of S.mutan found in breast-fed infants from those found in formula milk. This
observational-analytics study used cross sectional study design was carried out to 60 infants who fulfil the inclution
criteria of simple random sampling method,30 infants in each group from Integrated …

although it could be restored by prosthodontic treatment. Denture wearer’s diet usually consists of soft foods. This kind
of diet will limit the variety of foods consumed by the elderly, and increasing the risk of nutrition deficiencies.
Inadequate nutrition for a long time could lead to various kinds of diseases, even the systemic, which primarily occurs
in the mouth because of clinical symptoms of early malnutrition firstly found in the mouth. The risk of nutritional

Several studies showed that tooth loss was quite high occurred in elderly, which could interfere their chewing
function, and finally affected their nutrient intake. Rehabilitation of chewing dysfunction in elderly who have lost all
their teeth can be managed by using full denture (FD). However, a FD can only improve 30-50% of chewing
function in elderly. This study was aimed to compare the nutritional status involved measured by Body Mass Index
(BMI) indicators in elderly with or without FD. This descriptive analysis study of 64 elderly, consists of 32 with FD

other factors like race, age, gender, and genes. Children's dental caries
is frequently caused by the habit to consume food cariogenic which

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is widely adopted for assessing biochemical composition in agriculture. This study evaluated the feasibility of 400 MHz NMR to detect biochemical differences in Hass avocados grown under conventional (N = 101) and regenerative (N = 105) farming practices in Southwestern Australia. Phosphite, associated with Phytophthora root rot management, was a key discriminating feature (area under ROC curve = 0.96), being detected in 90% of conventional avocados (mean: 49 mg/kg) and 6 regenerative samples (mean: 24 mg/kg). To assess translational potential, water extracts of five samples were analyzed using 80 MHz benchtop NMR. Phosphite was detectable …

ObjectiveMyopia prevalence is rising globally and has reached critical levels in some regions. Beyond refractive correction needs, myopia is a major risk factor for irreversible, vision-threatening ocular disease. This study investigated the relationship between myopia, age, sex, and visual impairment in two nationally representative populations in the United States and South Korea.DesignCross-sectional analysis using data from the U.S. National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) and the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES).ParticipantsParticipants in the NHANES and KNHANES.MethodsBest-corrected visual acuity and non-cycloplegic refractive error were analyzed from NHANES (1999–2008) and KNHANES (2008–2022), excluding those with cataract or refractive …
