Child Malnutrition In Argentina: An Examination Of It Root Causes, Effects, And Innovations To Intervene, Brooklyn Richins
Child Malnutrition In Argentina: An Examination Of It Root Causes, Effects, And Innovations To Intervene, Brooklyn Richins
Journal of Nonprofit Innovation
Abstract:
Child malnutrition rates in Argentina have been on the rise, driven by factors such as income inequality, harsh climatic conditions, and geographic isolation, leading to an increased reliance on highly processed, nutrient-poor foods. This escalating issue has wide-ranging health and educational implications, including poor neurocognitive development, higher rates of hypertension, and greater risks of obesity and diabetes. Particularly in impoverished regions, like Jujuy, malnutrition exacerbates disparities in child health outcomes and educational achievement. Though international organizations like UNICEF and Bountiful Children’s Foundation are working to address malnutrition through supplements, education, and screenings, gaps in program implementation persist, especially in …

The Effect Of Using An Electronic Program With Supplementary Tools On The Development Of Futsal Officiating Performance Among Female Students Of The College Of Physical Education And Sport Sciences, Maryam Abduljabbar Khudair, Félix Arbinaga
Modern Sport
Due to the numerous motor and performance skills required of female students in futsal refereeing during college lessons, along with the constant need to reposition themselves and move within the playing field, continuous monitoring and repetition are essential to minimize potential errors during performance. These errors may arise from failing to assume the correct position or delays in signalling officiating gestures. Addressing this issue necessitated the implementation of an electronic program and supplementary tools—such as electronic games, scientific posters illustrating officiating signals, and other instructional aids—since these serve as guiding tools that direct individuals toward correct performance by distinguishing between …

The Effect Of Using Competitive Challenge Games In Improving The Performance Of Some Complex Offensive Skills At The Ages Of (10–12) Years, Maryam Abduljabbar Khudair, Mais Mahmoud Salman, Félix Arbinaga
Modern Sport
One of the contemporary trends in education and training is the use of educational, competitive and digital games, because one of the most important goals of games is (motivation and challenge). Thus, it ensures the expected reaction from the recipient’s interaction with the game, so we seek his interaction with the content he receives. It is no secret that games distance him from boring content and introduce him to the world of motivation by integrating them with magical elements that make an attractive and desirable game. Naturally, in the case of stimuli and motives that activate the recipient within the …

Although periodontal disease (PD) is reported to be associated with changes in various genes and proteins in both invading bacteria and the host, its molecular mechanism of pathogenesis remains unclear. Changes in immune and inflammatory genes play a significant role in PD pathogenesis. Some reports relate alterations in cellular epigenetic patterns to PD characteristics, while several high-throughput analyses indicate thousands of differentially methylated genes in both PD patients and controls. Furthermore, changes in DNA methylation patterns in inflammation-related genes have been linked to the efficacy of periodontal therapy, as demonstrated by findings related to the cytochrome C oxidase II gene. …

Review On Biological Management Of Bactrocera Zonata Through Pathogenic Activity Of Beauveria Bassiana, Sana Ullah, Hafiz Muhammad Sajid Ali, Syed Husnain Kumail Naqvi, Muhammad Ziaullah, Farhan Ali, Sana Sarfaraz, Mamoona Kanwal
Journal of Bioresource Management
Bactrocera zonata is the destructive pest of peach, mango, and banana by causing significant economic losses. It reduces fruit quality which directly causes decline in export of these economical fruits. Many management strategies were carried to suppress the population of this invasive pest. The use of chemical insecticides in the orchard for control of B. zonata is restricted because insecticides cause several complications in fruit health and makes fruits unfit for human consumption. Due these drawbacks of chemical control, Biological control strategies are preferred for better management of B. zonata. Entomopathogenic fungi are potential bio-control agent against many insect …

Makara Journal of Science
Black garlic is produced through controlled fermentation under specific temperature and humidity conditions, during which the Maillard reaction enhances its sensory properties and bioactivity. The anti-hyperuricemic potential of single-clove black garlic (SBG) remains unexplored. This study combined Ultra High-Performance Liquid Chromatography–High Resolution Mass Spectrometry-based metabolomics and an in-silico approach to identify the potential xanthine oxidase inhibitors (XOI) in SBG. Methanolic extracts (10 ppm) exhibited xanthine oxidase inhibition ranging from 50.09% to 68.01%, which is comparable to allopurinol (78.74%) at the same concentration. Metabolomic profiling tentatively identified 45 compounds, and orthogonal partial least squares analysis revealed seven metabolites as strongly correlated …

Fratelli Tutti And Social Media: Solidarity And Social Networks Among Locals And Urban Refugees In Kampala, Uganda, Augustine Bahemuka
The Journal of Social Encounters
Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis’ social encyclical, exhorts all Christians and people of good will to cultivate a spirit of fraternity and solidarity with all people in need, regardless of socio-cultural or creedal or racial differences. He challenges us to broaden our perception of “neighbour” to even include those people whose plight we encounter via social media – our digital neighbours. This paper shows how the Association of Refugee Women in Uganda (AORW- U) has used social media to amplify the voices of urban refugees living in Kampala, thereby raising public awareness; attracting global and local partnerships; and creating healthy social …

Why Here, Why Now: The Genesis Of A Native American Business Journal, Daniel Stewart
Indigenous Business & Public Administration
IBAPA is the culmination of a decades-long journey in which there has been much progress in the development of Native American economies, but still rather modest progress in the development of Native American academic theory in the fields of business and public administration. There are multiple reasons why academic progress has been sluggish. One of the primary reasons is the lack of business professors who publish research about our community. This journal seeks to address this problem straight on. The editorial provides background on our purpose.
