A Theologically-Rooted Order Of Worship For The Pipeline Road Church Of Christ, Jim Mcdoniel
A Theologically-Rooted Order Of Worship For The Pipeline Road Church Of Christ, Jim Mcdoniel
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
When a church does not plan its worship, that worship will typically demonstrate a lack of progression, theme, and appropriate movement. As a result, the assembly will neither adequately edify the saints nor praise God. Yet, many churches do little planning for worship. The Pipeline Road Church of Christ in Hurst, Texas, was one of those churches. Little was done to coordinate the activities of the assemblies before this study.

Community-Based Aids Prevention And Care In Africa: Workshop Report, Andrea Eschen
Community-Based Aids Prevention And Care In Africa: Workshop Report, Andrea Eschen
HIV and AIDS
Representatives from community-based AIDS prevention and care programs in five sub-Saharan African countries spoke about their programs’ strengths, shortcomings, and hopes for the future at a meeting organized by the Population Council that took place on June 5, 1993, in Berlin just prior to the IXth International Conference on AIDS. Participants’ experiences and insights demonstrated the ingenuity and imagination that communities have generated to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS and how they have taken action where government activities have fallen short. The workshop brought representatives of these programs together with staff of governmental and nongovernmental organizations, funding institutions, …

Staffing Sources Of Usaf Medical Center Systems Offices: A Study Of Their Relation To Information Systems Quality, William K. Dorr, Shelley D. Christia
Theses and Dissertations
This study measured the relationship between Medical Systems Office staffing source (i.e., military medical, military communications/computer, civilian government, and contractor personnel) and quality of automated information services provided at CONUS USAF medical centers. A literature search determined that information system quality is best measured on eight dimensions: performance, features, reliability, conformance, durability, serviceability, aesthetics, and perceived quality. The CIO at each medical center was surveyed to determine the level of system conformance to Air Force standards and to gather data on each MSO staff. Users at the medical centers were also surveyed in order to measure performance, features, reliability, serviceability, …

Winona Campus Life, Mass Communication Department
Winona Campus Life, Mass Communication Department
Winona Campus Life
Winona Campus Life was a weekly laboratory newspaper produced by the WSU Mass Communciation Department students and printed as a supplement to the Sunday Winona Daily News, which began in September 1983. The newspaper provided coverage of the four institutions of higher education in Winona: Winona State University, St. Mary's University, College of Saint Teresa, and Winona Area Vocational-Technical School. It was created to provide a place for Mass Communcation students to publish their articles and photographs with the idea of generating reader feedback, which is essential in journalism education.

Vcu Voice (1991-06-14)
VCU Voice, 1988-1998
VCU Today, the University’s first official administrative organ, began as a somewhat irregular monthly publication but moved to a bi-weekly newspaper format in the 1980s. The newspaper changed its name to VCU Voice in 1988 and ten years later it appeared under the title UniverCity News. As it neared the end of its run as a physical newspaper, the publication became simply VCU News. These four publications were essentially the same periodical published under different titles by the Office of University Relations. VCU News appeared online for the first time in 2002.

Paper Session Iii-B - Assured Crew Return, Charles E. Daniher
Space Congress® Proceedings
The Assured Crew Return Vehicle (ACRV ) concept was developed, by NASA, in response to the need to provide Space Station Freedom with Assured Crew Return Capability (ACRC) . The ACRC is a broad concept for assuring crew return from space which addresses both Earth-based and space-based rescue and includes space transportation systems which are currently in the United States inventory and some of which are being developed. The architecture of the ACRC is still being developed within NASA/JSC. Sufficient progress has been made to allow the ACRV part of ACRC to move ahead. The ACRV will provide on-orbit emergency …

Intimate Colonialism: The Imperial Production Of Reproduction In Uganda, 1907-1925, Carol Summers
Intimate Colonialism: The Imperial Production Of Reproduction In Uganda, 1907-1925, Carol Summers
History Faculty Publications
British concern over the reproduction of the population and society of Uganda intensified from 1907 through 1924. Institutions and ideologies were developed to cope with an epidemic of STDs, to promote the family as a unit of reproduction, and to reform motherhood. The British colonizers and the African elite of Uganda built a population crisis from a collection of beliefs and data. The perceived severity of this crisis - and the response it evoked - changed over the years. That response began as a straightforward medical attempt to treat the ill. After the World War, though, "social hygiene" became an …

The Siren Songs Of Science: Toward A Taxonomy Of Scientific Uncertainty For Decisionmakers, Vern R. Walker
Hofstra Law Faculty Scholarship
As the population increases, as natural resources decrease, and as,-economic competition intensifies, it becomes ever more important for rivate parties, regulatory agencies, and courts to make decisions that are factually correct and efficient as well as effective. The ability to make such decisions about public health, safety, and the environment, for example, often depends upon the best use of available scientific information. It is not surprising, therefore, that during the last several decades administrative agencies with scientific expertise have multiplied and the areas regulated by those agencies have broadened. Nor is it surprising that the courts have been inundated with …
