Purpose: Although autism can be reliably diagnosed by 18 months of age, long wait times and limited access to qualified providers prevent families from obtaining timely diagnostic services. Trained speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are qualified to diagnose autism, ideally as part of a multidisciplinary team. SLPs working on early intervention (EI) teams are well-situated to help close this diagnostic wait time gap. The purpose of this survey study was to explore EI SLPs’ experiences serving autistic children, confidence in identifying and diagnosing autism, and their perceptions of barriers or facilitators to diagnostic confidence and wait times.

This study examines how the HBO documentary The Weight of Gold constructs meaning around athlete mental health through narrative and visual framing. Grounded in framing theory, the purpose of this research is to identify the key themes presented in the film and analyze how cinematic techniques shape audience understanding of mental health in Olympic athletes. The rationale for this study stems from a gap in existing research, as most scholarship focuses on psychological outcomes rather than how media representations construct those meanings. This study examines how partisan media outlets strategically frame U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), revealing how the same events are portrayed as fundamentally different depending on the outlet’s ideological position. Using Entman’s framing theory and qualitative frame analysis, this research analyzed 150 digital news articles from conservative-leaning (e.g., Fox News & New York Post), liberal-leaning (e.g., CNN & Associated Press) and neutral (e.g., The Hill & Newsweek) outlets over a six-month period following President Trump’s executive order expanding ICE’s operational scope.

Single motherhood is a growing yet stigmatized family structure in Southwest Nigeria, where patriarchal norms, cultural expectations, and structural inequalities converge to produce unique mental health and financial challenges for women. This qualitative study examines how single mothers in Southwest Nigeria navigate mental health challenges and financial hardships through the lens of the Culture-Centered Approach (CCA). Drawing on in-depth semi-structured interviews with 20 single mothers residing in the Yoruba-speaking region of Southwest Nigeria, this study foregrounds locally situated narratives to understand how these women construct and reconstruct meanings of single motherhood within their cultural and structural contexts. Analysis Of Prestressed Concrete Beams Experimentally Utilizing Steel Strands And Cfrp Bars, Ahmed Edan, Wael Abdulsahib

This research seeks to improve the performance behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) beams by examining their load-deflection diagrams using ordinary and prestressed carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) bars in place of standard steel reinforcement instead. Using CFRP bars as prestressed tendons to replace the bottom steel rebars, eight 1800-mm long RC beams with a 200 mm×300 mm cross-section were evaluated and split into three groups, evaluating critical loading phases (i.e., cracked, ultimate, and mid-span deflection). Relative to the reference beam, beams reinforced with CFRP had far higher load-carrying capacities and ductility. One beam, reinforced with regular CFRP bars, exhibited a mid-span …

This study uses a novel sintering technique at very low temperatures (below 300°C) named the Cold Sintering Process to produce highly dense Hydroxyapatite (HA) samples. Nano hydroxyapatite was prepared using two different methods: Synthesis by chemical precipitation method (HA1) and natural source from Boven bone (HA2). The samples are characterized using scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS), X-ray diffractogram (XRD), transition electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) and Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). The antibiotic impacts of classical drugs against bacteria could be enhanced via the conjugation of silver nanoparticles. After the successful coating of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with Tetracycline, the characterization of the conjugate properties was achieved through measurements with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled to an energy-dispersive X-ray analyzer (EDX). The SEM analysis shows the appearance of silver nanoparticles with an average particle size of 22.82 nm and a cubic shape. Meanwhile, the EDX spectrum of silver NPs exhibits peaks corresponding to elemental silver. Latent thermal energy storage systems are widely utilized to match the inequality between heat supply and demand. Despite these systems' wide range of uses in various applications, their high potential is limited by the slow charging rate. The target of this study is to augment the thermal performance of paraffin-based on triplex tube heat storage by dispersion of two different types of conductive mono nanoparticles (Al2O3, CuO) and hybrid Nano additives of various volume fractions (0.4, 0.8, 1.6, 3.2%) into paraffin wax. The cooling of solar photovoltaic (PV) cells is reviewed in this study. The critical analysis aims to increase PV cell life span and electrical efficiency.
