Effective Marketing Strategies Of Private Entities For Leading The United States Military Armed Forces, Harry B. Willis Iii

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

Ineffective marketing strategies contribute to lower retention outcomes by failing to communicate the value of training programs and build sustained community engagement. Training managers must implement intentional marketing strategies that strengthen community engagement and improve participant retention. Grounded in organization theory, the purpose of this qualitative pragmatic inquiry was to explore the successful marketing strategies used by training managers of private organizations in the United States to increase military numbers. The participants were six training managers from the Southwest United States. Data were collected from semistructured interviews. Through thematic analysis, four themes emerged: (a) marketing strategies, (b) training managers, (c) …

Advances In Research On Mechanisms And Prevention And Control Technologies For Solid-Phase Production In Hydraulically Fractured Coalbed Methane Wells, Zhang Fengsan, Wu Jinqiao, Lin Jin, Li Yu, Zhang Ying, Li Bing, Zhang Guobiao, Sun Ying, Gan Yuke Mar 2026

Advances In Research On Mechanisms And Prevention And Control Technologies For Solid-Phase Production In Hydraulically Fractured Coalbed Methane Wells, Zhang Fengsan, Wu Jinqiao, Lin Jin, Li Yu, Zhang Ying, Li Bing, Zhang Guobiao, Sun Ying, Gan Yuke

Coal Geology & Exploration

Background The effective coalbed methane (CBM) exploitation using hydraulic fracturing wells is severely constrained by two major solid-phase production issues: coal fines blockage and proppant flowback. The mechanisms behind both issues are associated with complex interplays between geological conditions and engineering disturbances. This study presents a systematic review of the current status of domestic and international research on the mechanisms of the solid-phase production, as well as relevant prevention and control methods. Furthermore, future research directions are proposed.Advances The solid-phase production in hydraulically fractured CBM wells essentially arises from flow-solid-chemical multi-field coupling processes under interplays between geological conditions and …

A Surface Wave Inversion Method Incorporating Interface Constraints And Its Application In The Assessment Of Ground Vibrations Caused By Mining-Induced Seismicity, Li Cheng, Qian Changbao, Liu Ying, Cheng Yi, Ni Shengjun, Yao Huajian

Coal Geology & Exploration

Objective In mining areas of western China, underlying interfaces with significant fluctuations affect seismic exploration accuracy while also posing challenges to the assessment of ground vibrations triggered by dynamic hazards such as mining-induced seismicity. To enhance the characterization of shallow velocity structures and to provide support for dynamic hazard prevention and control in mining areas, this study developed an inversion method incorporating prior information about geological interfaces. Methods A dense array consisting of 489 single-component and 108 three-component seismometers was deployed within a mining area in Longkou Town, Junggar Banner, Inner Mongolia. Accordingly, continuous ambient noise data for about one …

Positive And Negative Pressure Distributions And Gas Migration Mechanisms Under Gas Drainage From Coal Seams Using Ultra-Long Directional Boreholes, Li Quanxin, Zhao Yuechen, Mou Quanbin, Wang Liang, Fang Jun, Wang Chenghao Mar 2026

Positive And Negative Pressure Distributions And Gas Migration Mechanisms Under Gas Drainage From Coal Seams Using Ultra-Long Directional Boreholes, Li Quanxin, Zhao Yuechen, Mou Quanbin, Wang Liang, Fang Jun, Wang Chenghao

Coal Geology & Exploration

Background Gas drainage via ultra-long directional boreholes plays a significant role in gas control in coal mines. To ensure safe and efficient gas drainage using these boreholes, it is critical to determine the mechanisms behind positive- negative pressure coupling, as well as the dominant mechanisms governing gas migration. However, the evolutionary patterns of positive-negative pressure zoning within the boreholes and the primary factors influencing gas drainage efficiency have yet to be accurately characterized. Methods Under the engineering background of the Shendong Baode Coal Mine, this study developed a multi-field coupling model integrating diffusion, seepage, and in-borehole flow fields based on …

Why Doomscrolling Makes Us Feel Worse About Ourselves: A Social Comparison Perspective, Emma Kuiper Mar 2026

Why Doomscrolling Makes Us Feel Worse About Ourselves: A Social Comparison Perspective, Emma Kuiper

Psychology Student Publications

Doomscrolling, the act of repetitively consuming negative news and social media content, has become a common addiction among younger adults. This paper applies social comparison theory to explore why doomscrolling often diminishes individuals’ self-esteem. Social media often promotes upward comparisons by presenting a “perfect” view of others’ lives, which can trigger negative emotions and envy.

A Grounded Theory Study Of Parent Social Support For Peer-Victimized Children, Madeline Glawe Mar 2026

A Grounded Theory Study Of Parent Social Support For Peer-Victimized Children, Madeline Glawe

Dissertations (1934 -)

Peer-victimization/bullying (PVB) is a common adverse childhood experience associated with significant psychosocial consequences including mental health concerns (e.g., internalizing problems, anxiety, depression), behavioral problems, and poorer academic outcomes. Although existing research has established that parental social support serves as a protective factor for victimized children, little research has explored how parents provide support over time, how their internal experiences shape their provision of support, and how parents make decisions about the support they are delivering. This dissertation used Constructivist Grounded Theory to explore the process through which parents provided social support to children experiencing PVB. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with …

Wv Bully Pulpits, Robert Ellison Mar 2026

Wv Bully Pulpits, Robert Ellison

English Faculty Research

This presentation is grounded in Theodore Roosevelt’s notion of the “bully pulpit,” defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as a “public office or position of authority that provides its occupant with the opportunity to speak out and be listened to on any issue” (in this context, “bully” is used in its 19th-century sense of “very good” or “excellent,” not in its modern sense of someone who likes to intimidate, threaten, or actually harm others).

Roosevelt used the term metaphorically, but my presentation will focus on literal pulpits, specifically those occupied by ministers whose sermons challenge the prevailing orthodoxies of a …

Homoeopathy During One Hundred Years Of Lmhi (1925–2025) – Part 2: Historical Perspectives* (Continued From Part 1, Published In The Last Issue)1, Josef M. Schmidt

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Taking Hahnemann in his entirety, as a paradigmatic example of a true homoeopath, as a sound basis for a proper understanding of Homoeopathy, the ``scientific-critical'' school of homoeopaths seems to miss one constitutive part of Homoeopathy: its spiritual embedment into a greater frame of thinking and feeling. In fact, the greatest successes of Homoeopathy, in terms of popularisation, institutionalisation and implementation into social and cultural practice, were achieved in countries and periods open towards spiritual dimensions. This was the case in North America at the end of the 19th century, when James Tyler Kent propagated a Hahnemannian Homoeopathy inspired …

Media Forensics Hub Creative Inquiry Reports

For this project our team expanded our search for inauthentic actors to new locations, specifically Bluesky. With the help of internet watchdogs Antibot4Navalny and dTeam, we began investigating a network known as “Matryoshka”1, aka “Operation Overload”2, aka “Storm-1679.”3 We discovered the network was stealing the identities of moderately known people of influence ranging from political candidates to university staff members. Because Twitter/X users had not created versions of themselves on Bluesky, due to its relatively new arrival on the social media scene, their identities were ripe for the taking by nefarious actors. During the time we observed this campaign (January …

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Traditional systems of medicine remain integral to global healthcare, yet variability in herbal raw materials has long challenged their scientific validation and regulatory acceptance. Differences in environmental conditions, harvesting, processing and formulation techniques significantly influence the herb's phytochemical composition, potency, and therapeutic outcomes. Standardisation is therefore essential to ensure safety, efficacy, reproducibility, and regulatory credibility. In this context, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has developed Indian Standards for medicinal plants and homoeopathic preparations. This article presents an overview of IS 18978:2024, Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) for Use in Traditional Medicine—Specification, and IS 19135:2025, Alfalfa Hydro-alcoholic Extract for Use …

Mechanisms Behind The Controlling Effects Of Temperature-Pressure Conditions On The Dynamic Ch4–H2O Production From Bituminous Coal, Zhang Hewei, Shen Jian, Li Kexin, Wu Caifang

Coal Geology & Exploration

Background For deep coalbed methane (CBM) exploitation, the temperature-pressure synergistic effect in the CH4-H2O two-phase flow remains poorly understood, restricting the establishment of efficient CBM production systems. Methods This study investigated the No.13 coal seam in the Guanjiaya Coal Mine along the eastern margin of the Ordos Basin. Using low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR) and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (NMRI) techniques, this study explored the dynamic process of CH4 displacing water and associated gas-water production mechanisms under different displacement pressures (2‒8 MPa) and temperatures (25 ℃ and 60 ℃).Results and Conclusions The sample used …

Coal Geology & Exploration

Objective Hydraulic fracturing of coal seam floors represents an important technical approach to mitigating damage to the floor rock masses through proactive pressure relief and to improving seepage pathways. However, there is a lack of systematic, quantitative insights into the evolutionary characteristics of floor fracture networks, as well as their impacts on the stress redistribution and rock stability of coal seam floors, during hydraulic fracturing. Methods This study aims to address the challenge that is prone to cause severe damage to the floor rock masses. First, a coal seam floor was considered a saturated porous medium containing multi-scale fractures based …
