Dynamic Transaction Authorization Using Continuous Analysis Of Tokenized Behavioral Data, Sree Sitamahalakshmi Moguluru Jul 2026

Dynamic Transaction Authorization Using Continuous Analysis Of Tokenized Behavioral Data, Sree Sitamahalakshmi Moguluru

Defensive Publications Series

Static, point-in-time transaction validation methods may be susceptible to in-session fraud, such as account takeovers, and can impose friction on legitimate users. To support continuous transaction authorization, systems and methods can analyze tokenized behavioral data. On a user device (e.g., a smartphone, smart watch, or wearable device), hardware sensors can capture behavioral data that is converted into privacy-preserving tokens before transmission to a server. A server-side infrastructure may use these tokens to build a real-time behavioral model for a session. During a transaction, this model can be compared to a user's historical baseline to compute a dynamic confidence score. This …

Blended Learning Development In Mongolian K-12 Education: A Systematic Review And Psychometric Study Of Teacher Readiness, Batbold Bukhchuluun

Theses and Dissertations

This dissertation examines blended learning (BL) in Asian K-12 education through a systematic review and an empirical validation study in Mongolia. The first study reviews peer-reviewed K-12 BL research published between 2000 and 2024 using PRISMA procedures. We analyzed 42 studies to identify publication trends, geographic representation, BL model adoption, articulation of physical and pedagogical design layers, implementation challenges, and reported outcomes. Findings indicate that BL research is concentrated in a limited number of countries, frequently employs flipped learning models, and often lacks detailed pedagogical specification. Common challenges include infrastructure limitations, teacher preparedness, and institutional support. The second study adapts …

Who Pays Dividend? Statistical Explanation And Machine Learning Prediction: Evidence From Pakistan, Zohaib Aziz, Javed Iqbal Jul 2026

Who Pays Dividend? Statistical Explanation And Machine Learning Prediction: Evidence From Pakistan, Zohaib Aziz, Javed Iqbal

The Indonesian Capital Market Review

This study explains and predicts the firm’s dividend payment decision using an unbalanced panel dataset of non-financial firms listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange covering the period 2009-2020. Several traditional statistical models and modern machine learning algorithms are applied to examine the firm-specific and macroeconomic determinants of dividend decision. Logistic regression and dynamic panel probit models indicate that lagged dividend, firm efficiency and firm size positively influence the firm’s dividend decision whereas leverage and sales growth show negative effects. Lagged dividend is found to be the most influential variable in explaining and predicting the dividend decision while the role of …

100-Day Analysis Of Usd/Idr Exchange Rate Dynamics Around The 2025 U.S. Presidential Inauguration, Sandy Hs Herho, Siti N. Kaban, Cahya Nugraha Jul 2026

100-Day Analysis Of Usd/Idr Exchange Rate Dynamics Around The 2025 U.S. Presidential Inauguration, Sandy Hs Herho, Siti N. Kaban, Cahya Nugraha

The Indonesian Capital Market Review

Using a 100-day symmetric window around the January 2025 U.S. presidential inauguration, non-parametric statistical methods with bootstrap resampling (10,000 iterations) analyze distributional properties and anomalies. Results indicate a statistically significant 3.61% Indonesian rupiah depreciation post-inauguration, with a large effect size (Cliff's Delta =-0.9224, CI: [-0.9727, -0.8571]). Central tendency shifted markedly, yet volatility remained stable (variance ratio = 0.9061, p=0.504). Four significant anomalies exhibiting temporal clustering are detected. These findings provide quantitative evidence of political transition effects on emerging market currencies, highlighting implications for monetary policy and currency risk management.

Generalized Splines Over ℤ-Modules On Arbitrary Graphs, Gökçen Di̇laver, Selma Altinok

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

Let [[EQUATION]] be a commutative ring with identity and [[EQUATION]] a graph.  Fix an [[EQUATION]]-module [[EQUATION]] for each vertex [[EQUATION]] of [[EQUATION]], an extending generalized spline on [[EQUATION]] is a vertex labeling [[EQUATION]], where for each edge [[EQUATION]] there exists an [[EQUATION]]-module [[EQUATION]] together with homomorphisms [[EQUATION]] and  [[EQUATION]] such that [[EQUATION]]. Extending generalized splines are further generalizations for generalized splines. They can also be considered as generalized splines over modules. In this paper, we prove that some of the results for splines can be extended to extending generalized splines when [[EQUATION]] for each vertex [[EQUATION]], and we define a method …

On Construction Of Mannheim Curves With Myller Configuration, Zehra İşbi̇li̇r, Bahar Doğan Yazici, Murat Tosun Jul 2026

On Construction Of Mannheim Curves With Myller Configuration, Zehra İşbi̇li̇r, Bahar Doğan Yazici, Murat Tosun

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this study, our aim is to strengthen the results of the existing literature on the concept of Mannheim curves by using the natural and idiosyncratic structure of Myller configuration. For this purpose, we examine Mannheim curves with Frenet-type frame in Myller configuration for Euclidean 3-space E3 and Euclidean 4-space E4. Since the classical Frenet frames in E3 and E4 are special cases of Frenet-type frames with Myller configuration in E3 and E4, and because of the special and natural structure of the Myller configuration, the Mannheim curves with Frenet frames in …

A New Characterization Of Globally Conformal Kenmotsu Manifolds And Lagrangian Submersions, Beran Pi̇ri̇nççi̇, Çağrihan Çi̇men, Deni̇z Ulusoy, Hakan Mete Taştan Jul 2026

A New Characterization Of Globally Conformal Kenmotsu Manifolds And Lagrangian Submersions, Beran Pi̇ri̇nççi̇, Çağrihan Çi̇men, Deni̇z Ulusoy, Hakan Mete Taştan

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

We give a characterization theorem for a globally conformal Kenmotsu manifold with an illustrative example. Then we study Riemannian, antiinvariant and Lagrangian submersions from globally conformal Kenmotsu manifolds. Initially, we show that the gradient vector field of the conformal transformation and the Lee vector field of the total manifold of a Riemannian submersion is horizontal when the characteristic vector field is a horizontal vector field. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the integrability and totally geodesicness of vertical and horizontal distributions of antiinvariant and Lagrangian submersions whose total manifolds are globally conformal Kenmotsu. We also give a necessary and …

Biharmonic Curves In Warped Product Manifolds I ×FMN(C), Şaban Güvenç, Ci̇han Özgür Jul 2026

Biharmonic Curves In Warped Product Manifolds I ×FMN(C), Şaban Güvenç, Ci̇han Özgür

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

We explore the geometric properties of biharmonic curves in warped product manifolds of the form I ×f Mn(c), where I is an open interval and Mn(c) is a space of constant curvature. By establishing a main theorem, we analyze four distinct cases to reveal deeper curvature-related characteristics of these curves, including situations where they are slant. Finally, we construct three examples in I ×f S2(1).

Generalized Submaximality And Paracompactness In Ideal Topological Spaces Via Δβ*-𝔍-Open Sets, Chawalit Boonpok, Areeyuth Sama-Ae Jul 2026

Generalized Submaximality And Paracompactness In Ideal Topological Spaces Via Δβ*-𝔍-Open Sets, Chawalit Boonpok, Areeyuth Sama-Ae

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

This paper explores the notions of δβ*-𝔍-submaximality and δβ*-𝔍-paracompactness within ideal topological spaces, viewing them as natural generalizations of the traditional concepts of submaximality and paracompactness. These concepts arise naturally in the context of ideal topology, where an ideal 𝔍 on a topological space provides additional structure for analyzing topological properties. It focuses on the study of submaximal spaces by employing δβ*-𝔍-open sets, which serve as fundamental building blocks for understanding the topological behavior in ideal spaces. Furthermore, the work provides multiple characterizations of δβ*-𝔍-paracompact spaces and examines how this property behaves …

The Kinematic Relationship Between Plücker Coordinates,  Moments Of Ruled Surfaces, And Real Quaternion Algebra, Selahatti̇n Aslan Jul 2026

The Kinematic Relationship Between Plücker Coordinates,  Moments Of Ruled Surfaces, And Real Quaternion Algebra, Selahatti̇n Aslan

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

This paper introduces a new kinematic method for generating ruled surfaces in Euclidean 3-space. We demonstrate that the Plücker coordinate method for straight lines can be extended to ruled surfaces. We prove that the moment of a ruled surface is a unique curve, which is independent of the chosen base curve. Moreover, we introduce a novel and distinctive base curve that is defined as the set of points on the rulings of the ruled surface such that these points are closest to the origin. Thus, we prove that each ruled surface can be generated using a real quaternion and a …

Pgl Orbits On Products Of Flag Varieties, Izzet Coşkun, Abuzer Gündüz Jul 2026

Pgl Orbits On Products Of Flag Varieties, Izzet Coşkun, Abuzer Gündüz

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this paper, we study the existence of a dense orbit for the diagonal [[EQUATION]] action on self-products of partial flag varieties. We determine when there exists a dense orbit for flag varieties of the form [[EQUATION]] when [[EQUATION]] or when [[EQUATION]] and [[EQUATION]] for some [[EQUATION]]. We also show that certain infinite families of products do not have a dense orbit.

On Statistical Multiplicative Uniform Convergence, Abdullah Aydin, Recep Türk, İrem Güler Jul 2026

On Statistical Multiplicative Uniform Convergence, Abdullah Aydin, Recep Türk, İrem Güler

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

This paper introduces a new concept of convergence, called statistical multiplicative uniform convergence, on Riesz algebras. This concept unifies three fundamental convergence types: statistical convergence, multiplicative convergence, and relatively uniform convergence. After establishing basic properties such as uniqueness, linearity, and compatibility with algebraic and lattice operations, we investigate its relationships with order convergence, statistical multiplicative order convergence, and relatively uniform convergence. In particular, we prove that statistical multiplica tive uniform convergence coincides with statistical multiplicative order convergence when an order unit exists. Moreover, for monotone sequences in Archimedean semiprime f-algebras, statistical multiplicative uniform convergence implies order convergence. We also study …

Notes On The Geometry Of Electromagnetic Fields And Maxwell’S Equations Along A Nonnull Curves In Nonflat-3d Space Forms MQ3(C), Fatma Almaz, Cumali̇ Eki̇ci̇

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this paper, the directional derivatives in accordance with the orthonormal frame {T→, N→, B→} are defined in Mq3(c), the extended Serret-Frenet relations by using Frenet formulas are expressed. Furthermore, we express the bending elastic energy function for the same particle in Mq3(c) according to curve γ(s, ξ, η) and we tried to interpret it from a geometric perspective of the energy for unit vector fields. Also, Maxwell’s equations are expressed for the electric and magnetic field vectors …

Analysis And Categorization Of Second-Order Linear Partial Dynamic Equations On Time Scales, Svetlin G. Georgiev, Jervin Zen Lobo, Sanket Tikare Jul 2026

Analysis And Categorization Of Second-Order Linear Partial Dynamic Equations On Time Scales, Svetlin G. Georgiev, Jervin Zen Lobo, Sanket Tikare

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this paper, we obtain the canonical form of second-order linear partial dynamic equations in two independent variables on time scales, together with the identity for the characteristic quadratic form. This is then used to classify these equations as hyperbolic, elliptic, or parabolic. We deduce the characteristic equations in each case, determine their roots, and provide the corresponding characteristic curves. In one case, we derive the generalized Beltrami equations on time scales. Suitable examples involving equations of interest are explored, and the developed theory is illustrated through these examples.

Volatility Spillovers Between Stock Prices And Exchange Rates: Insights For Risk Management And Investment Strategies: Evidence From China, India, And Pakistan Using Bekk-Garch Models, Samreen Fatima, Humera Sultana, Muhammad Najamuddin Dr., Saba Naz

The Indonesian Capital Market Review

This study investigates the dynamics of volatility and its spillover effects between the stock markets of China, India, and Pakistan, and their respective exchange rates (USD/CNY, USD/INR, and USD/ PKR). Volatility is modeled using the Symmetric and Asymmetric BEKK-GARCH (1,1) and DCCGARCH (1,1) models, based on daily return series covering the period from January 1, 2019, to January 31, 2025. The empirical results indicate that both the employed models are adequate for capturing the volatility dynamics. The findings reveal that the highest value of portfolio weights and hedging efficiency of KSE-100 Index–USD/PKR provide optimal portfolio allocation and highest hedging performance …

Continuous 1:1 Sitter Observation Versus Standard Safety Interventions To Reduce Falls In Hospitalized Adults At Risk, Zainab Williams Jul 2026

Continuous 1:1 Sitter Observation Versus Standard Safety Interventions To Reduce Falls In Hospitalized Adults At Risk, Zainab Williams

Student Scholarly Projects

Practice Problem: Patient falls remain a significant patient safety concern among hospitalized adults, particularly those at high risk. Traditional fall-prevention strategies, including continuous 1:1 sitter observation, require evaluation to determine their effectiveness in reducing falls and fall-related injuries.

PICOT: In hospitalized adult patients at high risk for falls (P), does continuous 1:1 sitter observation (I), compared to standard safety interventions (C), reduce fall rates (O) as measured by reported falls per 1,000 patient days during hospitalization over 12 weeks (T)?

Evidence: Current evidence supports multifactorial fall-prevention programs that combine patient assessment, staff engagement, and proactive nursing interventions through intentional rounding. …

Warped Product Ptr-Submanifolds In A Kähler Manifold, Firat Yerli̇kaya, Bayram Şahi̇n Jul 2026

Warped Product Ptr-Submanifolds In A Kähler Manifold, Firat Yerli̇kaya, Bayram Şahi̇n

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

Recently, the PTR-submanifold of an almost Hermitian manifold has been defined and studied as a large class including CR-submanifolds, hemi-slant submanifolds, and pointwise hemi-slant submanifolds, which are well-known in the literature. This novel category of submanifolds comprises two distributions, one of which is antiinvariant while the complementary distribution is arbitrary. This paper discusses the case of a PTR-submanifold being a warped product. It is first shown that there are no such warped product submanifolds for the case where the first factor is antiinvariant. Therefore, warped product PTR-submanifolds whose second factor is antiinvariant are examined. A characterization is given for this …

Do Voters Understand The Benefits Of Taxes?, Benjamin Carter, Alessandro Del Ponte, Peter Discioli Jul 2026

Do Voters Understand The Benefits Of Taxes?, Benjamin Carter, Alessandro Del Ponte, Peter Discioli

Political Science Faculty Articles and Research

We use economic experiments to study a fundamental question in political economy: Do voters understand the benefits of taxes? Participants play an economic game as members of a virtual society composed of computer players. In each round, the players earn low or high income, see the distribution of income, and then vote for low or high taxes. We test whether participants vote rationally for high taxes when poor and low taxes when rich, following a classic model in political economy, or whether they focus on the burden of taxes more than the benefits. Across three experiments, poor players voted against …

Privacy-Preserving Intrusion Detection For The Internet Of Medical Things Using Ensemble And Federated Learning, Theyab Alsolami

Electronic Theses and Dissertations 2020 - Present

The rapid proliferation of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) has transformed healthcare by enabling continuous monitoring, intelligent diagnostics, and data-driven clinical decision-making. However, this increased connectivity has significantly expanded the attack surface of healthcare systems, exposing sensitive patient data and critical medical devices to cyber threats such as intrusion and data exfiltration attacks. Ensuring both strong security and strict privacy preservation in IoMT environments remains a fundamental and unresolved challenge.

This dissertation investigates the design and evaluation of robust and privacy-preserving intrusion detection systems (IDS) for IoMT networks using advanced machine learning techniques. The research first examines the effectiveness …

Propagation Of Dirac Spherical Waves In The Expanding Universe, Karen Yagdjian Jul 2026

Propagation Of Dirac Spherical Waves In The Expanding Universe, Karen Yagdjian

School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences Faculty Publications

The explicit formulas for the spherical solutions of the Dirac equation in the expanding universe are given. The initial value of the solution can be, in particular, a wave function of the hydrogen-like atom or a spherical wave in the Minkowski space, that then propagates in the Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker space-time, which is expanding with the de Sitter scale factor.

Together//Apart Explorations In Choreorobotic Performance Ontologies, Kate Sicchio, Patrick J. Martin Jul 2026

Together//Apart Explorations In Choreorobotic Performance Ontologies, Kate Sicchio, Patrick J. Martin

Computer Science Faculty Publications

This chapter presents a practice-as-research approach to developing an improvisational choreorobotic performance. Our performance process motivated the creation of new human–robot interaction and live choreography technologies. These technologies were tested during the performance and evaluated by the audience through feedback on their perceptions about the coexistence of humans and machines in a shared space. Examining these results through both autonomous robotics and performance studies ontologies, we formulated a new analytical process in which choreographic practice informs design and robots inform performance.

Depro: Understanding The Role Of Llms In Debugging Competitive Programming Code, Nabiha Parvez, Md Tanvin Sarkar Pallab, Mia Mohammad Imran, Tarannum Shaila Zaman

Computer Science Faculty Research & Creative Works

Debugging consumes a substantial portion of the software development lifecycle, yet researchers do not yet understand well the effectiveness of Large Language Models (LLMs) in this task. Competitive programming offers a rich benchmark for such evaluation, given its diverse problem domains and strict efficiency requirements. We present an empirical study of LLM-based debugging on competitive programming problems and introduce DePro, a test-case-driven approach that assists programmers by correcting existing code rather than generating new solutions. DePro combines brute-force reference generation, stress testing, and iterative LLM-guided refinement to efficiently identify and resolve errors. Experiments on 13 faulty user submissions from Codeforces …

Llm-Enabled Open-Source Systems In The Wild: An Empirical Study Of Vulnerabilities In Github Security Advisories, Fariha Tanjim Shifat, Hariswar Baburaj, Ce Zhou, Jaydeb Sarker, Mia Mohammad Imran Jul 2026

Llm-Enabled Open-Source Systems In The Wild: An Empirical Study Of Vulnerabilities In Github Security Advisories, Fariha Tanjim Shifat, Hariswar Baburaj, Ce Zhou, Jaydeb Sarker, Mia Mohammad Imran

Computer Science Faculty Research & Creative Works

Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly embedded in open-source software (OSS) ecosystems, creating complex interactions among natural language prompts, probabilistic model outputs, and execution-capable components. However, it remains unclear whether traditional vulnerability disclosure frameworks adequately capture these model-mediated risks. To investigate this, we analyze 295 GitHub Security Advisories published between January 2025 and January 2026 that reference LLM-related components, and we manually annotate a sample of 100 advisories using the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications 2025.We find no evidence of new implementation-level weakness classes specific to LLM systems. Most advisories map to established CWEs, particularly injection and deserialization weaknesses. …

“Innocent” Electrolytes Can Influence Organic Electrosynthetic Selectivity, Zachary A. Nguyen, Nhu H. Quach, Mayank Tanwar, Joshua A. Beeler, Kevin Mcfadden, Dylan G. Boucher, Matthew Neurock, Shelley D. Minteer Jul 2026

“Innocent” Electrolytes Can Influence Organic Electrosynthetic Selectivity, Zachary A. Nguyen, Nhu H. Quach, Mayank Tanwar, Joshua A. Beeler, Kevin Mcfadden, Dylan G. Boucher, Matthew Neurock, Shelley D. Minteer

Chemistry Faculty Research & Creative Works

Organic electrosynthesis has emerged as a powerful strategy for leveraging electricity in organic synthesis. Despite its growing popularity, the fundamental molecular interactions governing electrochemical systems remain poorly understood. Many electrosynthetic reactions show strong dependence on the identity of the allegedly inert supporting electrolyte, which can significantly impact yields and selectivity, yet the physical origins of these effects are largely unexplored. A mechanistic understanding of electrolyte effects would enable more rational reaction design for applications. Here, we use cyclic voltammetry to investigate cobalt-based metal–carbon bond homolysis and elucidate how common supporting electrolytes influence reaction rates. Bulk electrolysis experiments further reveal how …
