Although he is cautious about trusting test labels, and well aware of the unwritten caveat accompanying each test manual, every once in a while the counselor may be brought up short by the summation effect of discrepancies he notices in day-to-day work with test data. The present study had its origin in just this fashion. It grew out of attempts of counselors to extract the maximum amount of meaningful information from test data.
