Implementation Of The Method Of Fuzzy Control Of The Rectification Process Based On Fuzzy Logic, Yusuf Shodievich Avazov, Kamola Rustamovna Abdullaeva
Chemical Technology, Control and Management
The method of controlling the rectification process using fuzzy control based on fuzzy logic is studied. The structural scheme of the rectification process control system based on fuzzy logic is proposed. The analysis of the operation of the fuzzy rectifier is also carried out by comparing the human with the elements of fuzzy thinking. It is shown that the logical thinking of the human is similar to the functions performed by the fuzzy rectifier and the work of the components of the intellectual control system. The terms of linguistic variables are presented to reflect the rectification process of multi-component mixtures. …

Mutual Recognitions Across Generations, Steven L. Winter Walter S. Gibbs Distinguished Professor Of Constitutional Law
Mutual Recognitions Across Generations, Steven L. Winter Walter S. Gibbs Distinguished Professor Of Constitutional Law
Law Faculty Research Publications
“Sovereignty,” Arendt says, “is contradictory to” the human condition. It is not, in any event, the kind of thing that can be shared across generations. Subsequent generations lack sovereignty to the precise degree that they are bound by the decisions of their predecessors. It is no answer to say that contemporary citizens participate in the sovereignty of a whole, transgenerational people. To paraphrase de Tocqueville, later generations are not free because they are not entirely equal, and they are not equal because they are not entirely free.
Where “sovereignty” is a metaphysical concept that transcends time, recognition is an act …

A Trans-Theoretical Systematization Of Clinical Interventions Based On Dynamical Systems Research (Dsr), Giulio De Felice, David Pincus
A Trans-Theoretical Systematization Of Clinical Interventions Based On Dynamical Systems Research (Dsr), Giulio De Felice, David Pincus
Psychology Faculty Articles and Research
The scientific literature focused on the categorization of therapists’ interventions in clinical sessions, and their effects on patients, is not very extensive and often autoreferential. The most relevant findings clearly show the eclecticism of clinicians, grounding only 10–14% of their interventions on the specific theoretical approach to which they belong. Despite that, a trans-theoretical systematization of clinical interventions is lacking. The present work aims to verify the feasibility of a trans-theoretical categorization of clinical interventions based on Dynamical Systems Research in psychotherapy (DSR). For this purpose, the authors present the results of three literature reviews. The first sections of this …
How Can Nature-Based Early Childhood Learning Environments Support Whole Child Development?, Greta Miller
How Can Nature-Based Early Childhood Learning Environments Support Whole Child Development?, Greta Miller
Graduate Teacher Education
Learning experiences and environments have a profound influence on young children’s learning and development (National Association for the Education of Young Children, 2022; Zosh et al., 2022). When young children are afforded inadequate opportunities to engage with and explore a nature-based outdoor learning environment, children’s growth, learning, and development can be negatively impacted (Louv, 2008; Suttie, 2016). Current research and literature regarding how nature-based early learning environments support whole child development was analyzed. Research indicated that when children spent more time exploring nature, children had improved learning outcomes (American Academy of Pediatrics, 2022). Outdoor play promoted creativity, curiosity, and critical …

Introduction: The Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative-4 (ADNI-4) Engagement Core was launched to advance Alzheimer's disease (AD) and AD-related dementia (ADRD) health equity research in underrepresented populations (URPs). We describe our evidence-based, scalable culturally informed, community-engaged research (CI-CER) model and demonstrate its preliminary success in increasing URP enrollment.
Methods: URPs include ethnoculturally minoritized, lower education (≤ 12 years), and rural populations. The CI-CER model includes: (1) culturally informed methodology (e.g., less restrictive inclusion/exclusion criteria, sociocultural measures, financial compensation, results disclosure, Spanish Language Capacity Workgroup) and (2) inclusive engagement methods (e.g., the Engagement Core team; Hub Sites; Community-Science Partnership Board).

Understanding The “L” In Cslp Within The Literacy Conundrum, Julia Lynch, Andrea Perrone
Michigan Reading Journal
Rooted in culturally relevant pedagogy, culturally sustaining literacy practices (CSLP) focus on equity in education (Gay, 2000; Ladson-Billings, 1995; Paris, 2012). Our view of CSLP emphasizes integrating the arts into literacy instruction to leverage students' cultural assets, stimulating their cognitive processes and recognizing literacy's interdisciplinary role in learning. As we align literacy practices with state standards, high-stakes testing, and research-based methods, it's crucial for educators and society to embrace them. Traditionally, literacy instruction has prioritized written language, creating hierarchical structures that lead to learning gaps and inequitable opportunities. An arts-based CSLP framework addresses these issues by ensuring literacy includes diverse …

Replete with evidence of extensive forum shopping, unending discovery procedures, and countless delays in the formal adjudicatory process, the case for an alternative, more specialized medium for the resolution of trade disputes between the United States and Canada has grown more pressing. The problem, however, is in being convinced that the alternative, embodied in the proposed Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement, addresses the deficiencies in the existing medium for dispute resolution without introducing greater social and personal costs of its own. A government, in distancing itself from dispute resolution, also separates itself from the process through which social problems are …
