As a significant international health emergency, COVID-19, formerly known as 2019-nCov and later termed SARS-Cov-2 or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, has introduced a myriad of behavioral, emotional, and social problems, most notably the fear of the virus itself. In response, a team of researchers developed a scale that measures COVID-19-related fear in 2020. Today, however, the scale has not been fully tested among the Filipino population in general. The study presents a novel mathematical framework for addressing Ebola and malaria concerns in Sub-Saharan Africa that combines Laplace transformation with Caputo fractional order derivative. It takes into account socioeconomic aspects that influence disease dynamics and uses the basic reproduction number to quantify transmission dynamics. Extensive numerical simulations using Maple 18 software are used to investigate the effect of fractional order derivatives on disease dynamics. It shows how the Laplace-Adomian decomposition approach simplifies nonlinear equations and generates control solutions. Background

There is a trend toward fostering well-being, or the state of being happy and healthy, within the medical community. Historically, resident physicians have faced high rates of distress during training. A structured well-being curriculum in residency programs may shift residents' mindsets from survival and resilience to one centered on purpose, engagement, and joy.

Methods

An original well-being curriculum was administered to residents in person at a single institution every 5 weeks for approximately 10 well-being workshops, totaling around 20 hours of curriculum exposure during every academic year.
