When Justice Fails: Female Vengeance And Indigenous Memory In Jayro Bustamante’S Film La Llorona (2019), Isabel Ibáñez De La Calle
Intersecciones Hispánicas: Revista de Cultura, Literatura y Lingüística
Jayro Bustamante’s film La Llorona (2019) reimagines the Latin American myth of the weeping woman to expose the failures of state justice and propose a feminist, decolonial alternative rooted in Indigenous memory and spiritual retribution. The film follows retired general Enrique Monteverde, modeled after Guatemalan dictator Efraín Ríos Montt, as he is tried for genocide against the Maya Ixil people. While the courtroom scenes depict a moment of accountability, they ultimately reveal how legal institutions remain complicit in protecting power. In contrast, the arrival of Alma—an Indigenous domestic worker who embodies La Llorona—introduces a supernatural force that intervenes when the …
Dnp Final Report: Enhancing Radiation Oncology Training For Advanced Practice Providers, Katherine A. Bukolt
Dnp Final Report: Enhancing Radiation Oncology Training For Advanced Practice Providers, Katherine A. Bukolt
DNP Final Reports
Background: Rising cancer incidence and improved survivorship are straining the oncology workforce, increasing reliance on Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). However, there is a lack of standardized educational resources for APP radiation oncology training across practice settings. Most APPs receive variable, resource-dependent, and on-the-job training. Evidence shows that the lack of standardized training leads to gaps in foundational knowledge, reduced confidence in toxicity management, inconsistent role development, and variable satisfaction with training and transition into practice.
Purpose: This quality improvement project evaluated the feasibility of implementing an 18-module Advanced Practice Radiation Oncology (APRO) asynchronous online curriculum to standardize APP radiation oncology …

Department of Neurosurgery Faculty Papers
Current guidelines acknowledge the importance of both microsurgical and neuroendovascular expertise in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease. To achieve optimal care for these patients, it is becoming increasingly evident that procedural volumes impact patient outcomes. This is demonstrated across various cerebrovascular diseases. In this literature review, we demonstrate the association of volume with patient outcomes across multiple cerebrovascular disease states and interventions. Microsurgical aneurysm clipping remains essential even with the rise of endovascular therapy and mortality and patient-safety indicator events are clearly lower at high-volume centers for both ruptured and unruptured aneurysms. Likewise, patients undergoing surgery for cerebrovascular malformations and carotid …

European Management Studies
Purpose: This paper investigates the multifaceted barriers to digitalization of the HRM and explores the paradoxes that arise between technological advancement and organizational culture.
Design/methodology/approach: Based on semi-structured interviews with HR directors from manufacturing firms, this qualitative inquiry employs thematic analysis to identify recurring themes and construct a typology of integration barriers. The Critical Incident Technique (CIT) anchors narratives in real events, while thematic analysis enables abstraction across cases of digitalization of the HRM.
Findings: The findings reveal three critical areas related to (1) organizational resistance rooted in cultural inertia, (2) misalignment between digital strategy and HR processes, and (3) …
