Background: Financial risk disclosure is crucial due to the broad-ranging consequences that may arise from inadequate disclosure, with the role and capabilities of a company's top management being essential in addressing this issue. This study examines the impact of CEO insiders with prior experience as CFOs on the quality of financial risk disclosure (FRDQ) in Indonesia. Methods: Using OLS regression analysis, the study analyzes data from non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2010 to 2020. Background: The growing urgency of environmental issues and economic imperatives has made sustainability a critical component of corporate strategy, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia. This study examines how green CEOs, green innovations, and green investments affect the sustainability performance of Indonesian companies listed in the Sri Kehati Index. Methods: Data from 2019 to 2023 were analyzed using regression analysis in STATA. The study also examined the moderating effect of absorbed and unabsorbed slack resources. Findings: The results show that a green CEO has no proven positive impact on sustainability performance, while green innovation has a negative …

Introduction: After the Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act in 2022, there has been a great interest in studying toxic exposures encountered during military service. Development of epigenomic biomarkers for exposures could facilitate understanding of exposure-related health effects, but such testing could also provide unwanted information.
Materials and methods: We explored attitudes toward epigenomic biomarker research and the potential to test for past exposures using semistructured interviews with Veterans (n = 22) who experienced potentially harmful exposures.

Background/Objectives: Lurasidone ((3aR,4S,7R,7aS)-2-{(1R,2R)-2-[4-(1,2-benzisothiazol-3-yl)piperazin-1-ylmethyl]cyclohexylmethyl}hexahydro-4,7-methano-2H-isoindole-1,3-dione) is a second-generation antipsychotic approved for schizophrenia and mood disorders. Adolescents and children with bipolar disorder receive treatments that expose them to weight gain and metabolic syndrome. Lurasidone is relatively free from such side effects, so it may constitute a useful alternative for the treatment of these patients. We focused on the use of lurasidone in children and adolescents with bipolar disorder.

Exercise training in extreme temperatures concurrent with hypohydration status may potentiate the development of acute kidney injury (AKI) in young, healthy persons.
Background/Objectives: It is unknown how repeated training bouts in ambient higher temperatures and humidity may influence measures of AKI. The purpose of this study was to investigate hydration status and renal biomarkers related to AKI in NCAA Division I female soccer athletes during preseason conditioning.

Background/Objectives: Spinoplastic surgery is an emerging multidisciplinary field developed to address and reduce the complication of pseudoarthrosis following complex spinal reconstructions. While the number of spinal fusion procedures continues to rise every year, fusion failure rates remain as high as 40%. Although pseudoarthrosis may not always manifest clinically, it remains a leading cause of persistent pain and need for subsequent revision surgeries. The multidisciplinary collaboration between spine and plastic surgeons in spinoplastic surgery has therefore emerged as a proactive strategy aimed at preventing complications, particularly in patients identified as high-risk for pseudoarthrosis. In 2020, the number of persons with disabilities in Indonesia reached 22.97 million. One of the main challenges this population faces is the high burden of health expenditures, particularly those that are urgent and unpredictable. This study aims to analyze the influence of socioeconomic status on out-of-pocket (OOP) health expenditures among households with persons with disabilities in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary data from the 2022 National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas), utilizing the core module (KOR) and the household expenditure module (KP). BACKGROUND: Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) differs significantly from acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in clinical features and pathological mechanisms, but evidence in Asian populations remains limited. The aim of this study is to compare clinical features and outcomes between patients with TTS and AMI in the first Chinese registry of TTS (ChiTTS Registry, ChiCTR1900026725).

BACKGROUND: Hospitalized older adults with cognitive impairment (CI) have an increased risk for adverse outcomes. Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Units were developed to reduce functional decline in hospitalized older adults. INTERVENTION: We developed a quality improvement (QI) initiative to disseminate ACE care processes to non-ACE units, converting them into "Virtual ACE" units. The aim of this evaluation is to examine the impact of this intervention on the mobilization of patients with CI. Hypertension is characterized by increased blood pressure due to various risks that do not function normally in stabilizing blood pressure. According to WHO, the number of hypertension patients worldwide in 2020 reached 972 million (26.4%) and increased in 2021 to 1.2 billion (29.2%). Hypertension treatment must be carried out long, requiring a substantial aggregate treatment cost. Based on BPJS data, in 2014, hypertension accounted for approximately Rp2.8 trillion in healthcare costs, which increased annually until 2016, reaching around Rp4.2 trillion. The need for healthcare services due to illness is unpredictable, thus burdening patients economically and posing a risk of catastrophic events. The percentage of households with catastrophic health expenditures is defined as out-of-pocket payments exceeding 10% of the household’s capacity to pay for healthcare. Increasing catastrophic expenditure costs can further deteriorate the household’s financial condition. This study analyzes the determinants of catastrophic health expenditures in Indonesian households. Ischemic stroke was one of the diseases that frequently occurred in geriatric patients, while hemorrhagic stroke had a higher prevalence. Geriatric patients who experienced a stroke were not exempt from drug-related problems (DRP) due to the complexity of treatment and comorbid factors they encountered.
