Prevalence Of Cerebrovascular Disease In Patients With Coronary Artery Disease After Pharmacological Stress Test, Eman Mahmoud Abdelfattah, Muhammad Salem Muhammad Hagrass, Khalid Ahmed Elkhashab, Sameh Emil, Hassan Mohamed Ebeid, Lamya Salih, Najah Makhbout Al-Amri, Mostafa Sayed, Haytham Soliman Ghareeb
Journal of the Saudi Heart Association
Objectives: Coronary artery disease (CAD) and cerebrovascular disease (CVD) share common atherosclerotic pathways. However, the clinical significance of headache absence during stress testing remains unexplored. We investigated whether the absence of headache during pharmacological stress testing reflects the presence of subtle cerebrovascular atherosclerosis detectable by transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (TCD).
Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled 225 patients with CAD undergoing pharmacological stress testing with TCD and myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) at centers in Egypt (Cardiology Department, Fayoum University). Patients were stratified by headache status during stress testing. Multivariate logistic regression and receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) analysis identified independent predictors of abnormal TCD …
Health-Gated Deploy-Authority Reconciler, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Health-Gated Deploy-Authority Reconciler, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Defensive Publications Series
This document discloses a post-deploy reconciler that keeps a single, high-blast-radius production workload converged to an authorized image without reverting legitimate, healthy, out-of-band deployments. A short-interval reconciliation job reads a mutable, agent-writable in-cluster authority record — carrying an authorized image, a deploy-in-progress flag, a holder identity and a reason — and compares it against the live workload's running image and the readiness of its serving pod. The reconciler's corrective action is gated on a conjunction predicate: it reverts the workload to the authorized image only when the running image differs from the authorized image AND the serving pod is not …

Spec-Less Differential Api/Rbac Conformance Scanner With Source-As-Oracle Auth Probing, Llm Test Synthesis, And Automatic Bug-To-Repair Handoff, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Defensive Publications Series
This publication discloses a computer-implemented method and system that scans a running HTTP/REST service for authentication and role-based access-control (RBAC) conformance defects without any machine-readable API specification. Conventional API security scanners (Schemathesis, RESTler, 42Crunch, StackHawk, and comparable tools) require an OpenAPI/Swagger document or a recorded traffic corpus to know both what endpoints exist and what each endpoint's correct behavior is. The disclosed mechanism removes that dependency by treating the service's router source code as the single source of truth: a lightweight parser enumerates route registrations, and — the central novelty — the auth-middleware tokens present on each route's own physical …
Fail-Closed Multi-Backend Artifact Gate With Reject-Biased Union Resolution And A Single Chokepoint, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Fail-Closed Multi-Backend Artifact Gate With Reject-Biased Union Resolution And A Single Chokepoint, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Defensive Publications Series
This publication discloses, with enabling detail, a fail-closed governance gate that is invoked at every path capable of creating, registering, or enabling a governed unit of work — a new application, a new game, or a large ("big-task") change. The gate refuses to let creation proceed unless a mandated set of governance artifacts (an idea brief, a purpose statement, a design, a cost model, an implementation plan, a deployment runbook, and a live tracker) is proven to exist. The novelty is not "check that files exist." It is how presence is resolved. A mandated artifact may live in any one …
Dual-Path Work Delivery Into An Agent Cognitive Loop, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Dual-Path Work Delivery Into An Agent Cognitive Loop, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Defensive Publications Series
This publication discloses, in enabling detail, a dual-path protocol for delivering a unit of work into an autonomous agent's cognitive loop and for verifying, out of band, that the work does not silently stall. A fast path enqueues a work item in-process onto a resident attention queue by resolving the engine from a shared carrier (a config bridge object, else a last-resort global handle) and calling a plain function; this path is deliberately lossy — it never retries, never demands an acknowledgement, and fails soft to false when the engine is not resident. Correctness is not entrusted to the fast …
Agent-Based Workflow To Perform Technical Health Audit Of Software Applications, Patrick Lierse
Agent-Based Workflow To Perform Technical Health Audit Of Software Applications, Patrick Lierse
Defensive Publications Series
Online application storefronts enable users to download software applications to their devices. Poor technical quality of applications, such as the app freezing, crashing, or draining device battery can result in a bad user experience that negatively affects the application developer and the storefront provider. However, data regarding application performance may be unavailable to the storefront provider to make assessments of technical performance, thus making it difficult to adjust the way the application is featured in the storefront. This disclosure describes techniques for automatic evaluation and reporting of technical health of a software application without access to developer analytics (or other …

The A2a2p Protocol, Catherine A. Andrews
Defensive Publications Series
Disclosed is the a2a2p protocol — a system and method for enabling autonomous software agents to procure physical manufactured goods through a structured procurement protocol.
The system comprises: (1) a two-layer requirement schema that separates agent intent from manufacturing specification, enabling agents to arrive with varying levels of detail; (2) a resolution engine that evaluates three procurement paths — off-the-shelf, customize, and fabricate from scratch — and recommends the optimal path with pricing and tradeoffs (a Configure-Price-Quote flow); (3) an optional quality-weighted second-price auction mechanism that ranks suppliers by effective price (bid price divided by a multi-factor quality score) and …

Foundations Of Topological Substrate Mechanics (Tsm): A Cross-Disciplinary Field Manual For The Dehp Framework, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This technical disclosure establishes the foundational framework for Topological Substrate Mechanics (TSM), a unified, cross-disciplinary field of physical and computational science derived from the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model. TSM replaces the classical paradigm of independent fundamental forces, localized point-like particles, and ungrounded informational parameters with a singular, continuous mechanism: the non-linear, viscoelastic deformation of a two-dimensional (2D) phase fluid substrate operating at absolute harmonic equilibrium (z=0). Three-dimensional (3D) physical matter, biological complex systems, and machine-learning attention distributions are unified under a shared volumetric geometry. Matter is formalized as a high-tension amplitude wave crest (z>0) bound via geodesic …

Emergent Domain Modulation: Deploying The Universal Sine Field Template Across Multi-Variable Frameworks, Christopher L. Eckes
Emergent Domain Modulation: Deploying The Universal Sine Field Template Across Multi-Variable Frameworks, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This paper formalizes a universal, particle-free mathematical blueprint derived from the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model. Operating on the foundational axiom that all macroscopic phenomena—whether manifesting as gravitational fields, baryonic matter, computer logic, or supply-chain routing—are phase-locked oscillations (sine waves) on a continuous, two-dimensional viscoelastic pre-geometric phase fluid substrate (z=0), we define a unified multi-variable transformation template that bridges this deep informational layer to the projected three-dimensional volumetric bulk. Instead of relying on classical energy extraction or brute-force material engineering, this framework introduces information-load impedance modulation to regulate reality's metric fabric without inducing thermal or baryonic stress backlashes. By …

The vaginal microbiome is often interpreted through static taxonomic patterns. Yet microbial composition alone does not explain why some communities resist perturbation, recover after disruption, or transition toward dysbiosis. This narrative review synthesizes evidence that vaginal microbiome stability is shaped by endocrine phase, epithelial substrate availability, microbial functional capacity, mucosal tone and candidate host modifiers. High-estrogen states, particularly pregnancy, are associated with epithelial maturation, glycogen accumulation, low vaginal pH, and Lactobacillus-dominant communities, whereas postpartum, lactational, menopausal, and other hypoestrogenic states are associated with reduced epithelial support and increased vulnerability to diverse anaerobe-rich configurations. We review the linking of the estrogen–glycogen–Lactobacillus …

The growing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has and will contribute to global economic and public health concerns in the foreseeable future leading into 2050. As mortality rates derived from AMR are projected to reach 10 million if no viable solution is found to combat it through hastened drug discovery. The use of natural products to mitigate AMRs effects is viable as more than 50% of FDA approved drugs are natural products. These natural products are synthesized by biosynthetic gene clusters (BGC), found in bacteria with a regulatory protein not allowing transcription until unbound . Current methods of eliciting the …

Leadership In Higher Education Amid Demographic Shifts: Implications Of Campus Event Management, Marrissa J. Williams
M.S. in Leadership
This study focuses on how demographic shifts within higher education have influenced leadership practices, specifically within enrollment management and campus event programming. As student populations become increasingly diverse, institutions are challenged to change their recruitment, engagement, and support strategies to meet the needs of first-generation, low-income, and non-traditional learners. The research explores the role of leadership in shaping these responses, with a focus on how decisions related to admissions events, like campus visits, outreach initiatives, and multicultural programming, have contributed to student engagement and enrollment outcomes. Using a qualitative approach grounded in the analysis of peer-reviewed articles and case studies, …

An Anthropological Lens Into Human Milk Mirnas: Roles In Evolution And Epigenetic Programming Of Infant Health, Samantha Wu, Erika Yu, Allison Oh, Chantal Rabay, Amy L. Non
Human Biology Open Access Pre-Prints
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) represent an understudied bioactive component of human milk with an important epigenetic role in regulating infant gene expression. Most anthropological studies of human milk have focused on the evolutionary and biocultural significance of milk macronutrient content for infant development. This review will focus specifically on the value of studying milk miRNAs, a critical bioactive component of milk that may transmit cues to offspring about maternal environments. These cues could epigenetically program infant development and shape health trajectories throughout the life course. MiRNAs are short, single stranded, ribonucleic acids that serve as post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression which can …

Comparable Outcomes, Divergent Learning Pathways: Comparing Metacognitive Reflection And Practice Problems In Organic Chemistry, Jitendra D. Belani
College of Life Sciences Faculty Papers
Organic Chemistry I presents significant challenges for students, requiring both conceptual understanding and effective study strategies. Two commonly used approaches to support learning are structured practice problems and metacognitive reflection activities; however, these strategies are rarely compared directly within the same course context. In this study, students enrolled in a postbaccalaureate Organic Chemistry I course (n = 31) were randomly assigned to one of two low-stakes interventions: weekly practice problem sets or structured reflection surveys focused on study strategies. Student performance was evaluated using three midterm examinations, a cumulative final exam, and overall course grades, along with measures of participation. …

The workforce scheduling and routing problem (WSRP) involves assigning tasks across multiple locations while accounting for varying travel times, service durations, time windows, and skill requirements in a wide range of industries, from healthcare to telecommunications. This paper presents a mixed-integer programming model for the WSRP that balances the trade-off between cost and customer satisfaction using a score-generation function and subsequently evaluates the trade-off between solution quality and computation time for several algorithms on well-known datasets. We demonstrate that our model effectively balances cost, service-level agreement satisfaction, and task priorities while providing high-quality solutions in a timely manner. Observing that …

Trump Accounts are IRAs for American children, with a $1,000 federal seed contribution available for those born from 2025 through 2028. Under the current design, families must take two separate steps to request an account. Children whose families do not complete both steps will receive neither the account nor the federal deposit. They also will be excluded from employer matches, philanthropic contributions, and other general contributions to Trump Accounts. The current opt-in design will leave behind the children who need the program most. States are well positioned to address this gap. This Policy Brief proposes a framework for state engagement …

Effects Of Calcium And Magnesium Ions On Wheat (Triticum Aestivum) Chromosome Structure Visualized Using Light And Scanning ElecTron Microscopes, Andi Salamah, Fitri Amalia Nurchasanah, Vycka Fikriyani Fairuz, Astari Dwiranti
Turkish Journal of Botany
Divalent cations, particularly calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+), are essential for maintaining chromosomal architecture, yet their roles in plants remain poorly characterized. This study investigated the effects of Ca2+ and Mg2+ on the chromosomal structure of wheat (Triticum aestivum, 2n = 6x = 42), a widely used model in plant cytogenetics. Root-tip chromosomes were isolated enzymatically and treated with BAPTA (a Ca2+-specific chelator), EDTA (a broad cation chelator), and buffer solutions containing either 5 mM Mg2+ (XBE5) or no Mg2+ (XBE). Chromosomes were stained with aceto-orcein for light microscopy and processed for scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Microscopic observations revealed that …

Within primary care, the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model integrates behavioral health services into medical settings through brief, population‑based interventions delivered by behavioral health consultants (BHCs). Although effective performance in this role requires competencies distinct from traditional mental health practice, few psychometrically sound tools exist to assess clinical skills in primary care. The Brief Intervention Competency Assessment Tool (BICAT) is commonly used for this purpose but lacks published evidence supporting its reliability and validity. This dissertation examined the psychometric properties of the BICAT across two studies. Study 1 evaluated factor structure, internal consistency, and construct validity in a heterogeneous …

BACKGROUND: Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly used to generate health information, yet their reliability as evaluators remains unclear. This study investigated the feasibility of an LLM-as-a-judge methodology in the context of infection prevention and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), comparing automated ratings with human expert benchmarks.
METHODS: We performed a secondary analysis of an expert-annotated dataset of health messages. Three leading LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) independently evaluated the same messages using an adapted DISCERN tool across five domains: information reliability, quality, AMR impact, persuasiveness, and overall score. We utilized descriptive statistics, intra-rater reliability tests, and mixed-effects ordinal regression to analyze divergence …

The threat of root-knot nematodes to horticultural and plantation crops is a grave concern. To combat this issue, using bacteria and fungi as biological control agents is an effective and efficient approach. This research aims to evaluate the efficacy of Streptomyces sp. strains PS23104 and Trichoderma sp. when grown on nutrient-enriched media as a biological control agent for root-knot nematodes Streptomyces sp. PS23104 and Trichoderma sp. were cultured on enriched EKG media with malt extract, glucose nitrate, pure coconut water, and molasses, while potato extract media without nutrient addition served as the control. The findings indicate that both Streptomyces sp. …
