The Safety Saturation Problem In Enterprise Ai: When Guardrails Begin To Erode Utility, Pranav Bhatnagar Mr Feb 2026

The Safety Saturation Problem In Enterprise Ai: When Guardrails Begin To Erode Utility, Pranav Bhatnagar Mr

Defensive Publications Series

Enterprises have responded to generative AI risk in a predictable way: layer more safety controls. Filters, classifiers, refusals, policy gates, and human-in-the-loop checks are added incrementally with the assumption that more protection always improves outcomes. In practice, beyond a certain threshold, these controls begin to interact in nonlinear ways that degrade responsiveness, reduce answer specificity, and increase user workarounds. This paper defines that tipping point as the Safety Saturation Problem (SSP). The proposed framework introduces a Safety Saturation Index (SSI) that measures when cumulative guardrail pressure begins to suppress legitimate task performance. Rather than evaluating each safety mechanism in isolation, …

"ALLFROMAIR®: Atmospheric Water Harvesting through Electrodynamic Physisorption and Vibration-Induced Desorption"

Technical Abstract:

Building on research and development initiated in 2016-2017, this publication details a novel methodology for the extraction of liquid-phase water from atmospheric vapor using molecular dielectrophoresis (DEP).

This publication details a novel methodology for the extraction of liquid-phase water from atmospheric vapor using molecular dielectrophoresis (DEP). Unlike state-of-the-art systems that require pre-existing liquid aerosols (fog) or sensible cooling of air masses, this technology utilizes a non-uniform electric field gradient (\nabla |E|^2) to directly attract neutral but dipolar water molecules in the gas phase. By integrating the Modified Kelvin-Thomson …

PS is highly susceptible to UV-induced photodegradation, which results in deterioration of its mechanical and aesthetic properties. In the present study, four novel and highly aromatic levofloxacin metal complexes, synthesized from Zn, Sn, Cu, and Ni, were investigated as low-concentration (0.5% w/w) photostabilizer additives for PS. Composite films were prepared by solution casting and subjected to accelerated UV irradiation up to 300 hours. Photostabilizing performance was systematically followed by monitoring changes in the carbonyl index via FT-IR spectroscopy, mass loss measurements, and surface morphology analyses using SEM and AFM. Results showed that all levofloxacin metal complexes had a pronounced inhibition …

Staff Education For Prevention And Management Of Obesity In Adolescents From Underserved Communities, Doris Mtarubukwa Feb 2026

Staff Education For Prevention And Management Of Obesity In Adolescents From Underserved Communities, Doris Mtarubukwa

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

This DNP project implemented a targeted staff education intervention designed to bridge the practice gap in obesity management among adolescents in underserved communities. A comprehensive chart review of 45 patients revealed that only 3% of encounters adequately addressed obesity using evidence-based practice (EBP) guidelines, establishing the urgent need for healthcare provider education and competency development. Adolescents in underserved communities face complex barriers to health and wellness, with obesity representing a critical public health concern. The literature demonstrated that childhood and adolescent obesity serves as a significant risk factor for multiple chronic conditions in adulthood, including Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, coronary …

Clinical Coaches are foundational for the success of all orientation programming and have tremendous impact on our nurses. Coaching involves a mutual …

Enhancing Nurse-To-Nurse Relationships And Work Environments As Experienced Nurses Transition To New Clinical Specialties, Jennifer K. Chicca, Hope C. Hubbard Feb 2026

Enhancing Nurse-To-Nurse Relationships And Work Environments As Experienced Nurses Transition To New Clinical Specialties, Jennifer K. Chicca, Hope C. Hubbard

Creating Healthy Work Environments (CHWE)

Nurses interact with a variety of healthcare professionals, including fellow nurses with different levels of authority and/or experience, as part of their day-to-day practice. As they interact with their nursing peers, nurses develop connections with unique aspects, benefits, and challenges, and these relationships can have healthy and unhealthy elements and relations can change over time. Notably, healthy nurse-to-nurse relationships build teams, increase collaboration, and strengthen effective communications (Institute for Safe Medication Practices, 2021) and thus professional relationships heavily influence the work environment. Unfortunately, violations of healthy relationships and work environments are common and these issues threaten adverse outcomes such as …

The Abortion Case The Supreme Court Has Been Waiting For?, Rachel Landis Feb 2026

The Abortion Case The Supreme Court Has Been Waiting For?, Rachel Landis

Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice (ERSJ) Blog

This past week, Louisiana’s Attorney General filed a lawsuit, Markezich v. FDA, challenging the distribution of medication abortion to patients without an in-person doctor’s appointment. When the Supreme Court rejected a challenge to the Food and Drug Administration’s (“FDA’s”) approval of mifepristone in 2024, it was considered a setback for the anti-abortion movement.  Markezich confronts the FDA’s approval of telehealth, and the Supreme Court could rule differently this time because of key differences in standing.

Functional Characteristics Of Ice Creams Enriched With Aronia Melanocarpa And Sambucus Nigra L. Extracts, Murat Emre Terzi̇oğlu, Emi̇ne Maci̇t Feb 2026

Functional Characteristics Of Ice Creams Enriched With Aronia Melanocarpa And Sambucus Nigra L. Extracts, Murat Emre Terzi̇oğlu, Emi̇ne Maci̇t

Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

In this study, the effects of Aronia melanocarpa and Sambucus nigra L. extracts added at different concentrations (0.5%, 1%,and 1.5%) on the physicochemical, sensory, microbiological, antioxidant capacity (DPPH• and ABTS•+ radical scavenging activity, TPC,TFC, and TAC) antidiabetic (α-amylase and α-glucosidase inhibition), and anti-Alzheimer properties (AChE inhibitory activity) of icecream were investigated. According to the statistical analysis results, extract addition did not have an effect on the total dry matter, fatand ash ratios of the ice cream samples (p > 0.05), but it had an effect on the protein ratio, viscosity, and first drip time at the level ofp < 0.05. The addition of extract positively affected the DPPH• radical scavenging activity IC50 and ABTS•+ radical scavenging activityIC50 values of the ice cream samples, and also increased the TPC, TFC, and TAC values. Indeed, a decrease in the IC50 values of DPPH•and ABTS•+ radical scavenging activities indicates an increase in antioxidant activity. The highest TPC, TFC, and TAC values weredetected in the A-1.5 sample (sample containing 1.5% A. melanocarpa extract) as 749.33 mg GA/kg, 434.70 mg QE/kg, and 290.97 mg/kg, respectively. Similarly, the highest α-amylase inhibitory activity (23.08%), the highest α-glucosidase inhibitory activity (10.41%) andthe highest AChE inhibitory activity (14.70%) were observed in the A-1.5 sample. Extract addition had no effect on microbiologicalproperties and sensory properties except texture. The results of this study showed that A. melanocarpa, S. nigra L. extracts can be usedas a natural additive with antioxidant, antidiabetic and anti-Alzheimer activities in ice cream production.

Exploring Molecular And Morphological Diversity Of Ostracoda: A Combined Approach Based On Coi Sequences And Morphological Characters, Serdar Di̇nç, Serap Mutun, Okan Külköylüoğlu

Turkish Journal of Zoology

Ostracods are diminutive aquatic invertebrates with a broad geographical distribution  across a diverse range of aquatic habitats, including lentic and lotic freshwater  environments as well as marine waters. Due to their sensitivity to environmental  changes, ostracods are valuable tools in biodiversity monitoring, providing a link to  past, present, and future ecological conditions. Despite the significance of classical  taxonomic studies in species identification, molecular approaches remain  underutilized in ostracod research, representing an area of potential growth for  advancing our understanding of this diverse group. Thus, molecular studies in  ostracods have the potential to greatly enhance our understanding of morphology,  ecological variation …

Spatial And Temporal Variability Of Mayfly Communities (Insecta: Ephemeroptera) In Mountainous And Semimountainous Rivers Of The Western Aegean Basin, Biljana Rimcheska, Yanka Vidinova

Turkish Journal of Zoology

Mayflies are among the most abundant benthic invertebrates inhabiting natural lotic  freshwater systems. Their assemblages vary with environmental, geographical, and  hydrological conditions along altitudinal gradients and under different types of  watershed disturbance. The main objective of this study was to analyze the  composition and β-diversity of mayflies across three river watersheds and to assess  how these assemblages differ among them. We collected biological and  environmental data from 38 sampling sites distributed across the three river  watersheds. We hypothesized that mayfly assemblages would vary with  environmental gradients on both spatial and temporal scales; specifically, we  expected pristine streams to exhibit higher …

Turkish Journal of Zoology

Estimating ecological flows (EFs) in rivers is crucial for meeting the Water Framework  Directive (WFD) 2000/60/EC goals. To develop an EF model, it is  essential to use biological indicators to reliably record the impacts of human-induced  alterations on aquatic ecosystems. The adaptability of fish to annual flow variability  makes them a significant biological quality element (BQE). Consequently, using fish  as bioindicators is a powerful tool for assessing the impact of changes in the  hydrological regime on the natural communities within a river system. The new index  of the ecological status of fish communities (NISECI) is a methodology developed in  Italy …

Pro-Environmental Behavior: Its Moderating Role On The Relationship Between Environmental Identity And Climate Change Anxiety Among Gen Z Filipinos, Marc Eric S. Reyes, Alvin Joseph D. Mapoy, Victoria Ann Louis N. Aranzanso, Francheska Ysabel A. Avera, Beatrice O. Martinez, Mariah Michaela T. Ramos, Ryan Francis O. Cayubit

Makara Human Behavior Studies in Asia

Environmental identity refers to an individual’s understanding of how their environment shapes their identity and relationships. This connection may cause climate change anxiety and motivate pro-environmental behavior. Using an explanatory, cross-sectional design, we examined whether environmental identity (EI) predicts climate change anxiety (CCA) and whether pro-environmental behavior (PEB) moderates their relationship. Seven hundred sixty-one Filipinos aged 18–25 completed the Revised Environmental Identity Scale, Climate Change Anxiety Scale, and Pro-Environmental Behavior Scale. Our findings revealed a significant positive relationship between environmental identity and anxiety about climate change. However, moderation analysis indicated that environmental identity is only associated with climate change anxiety …
