Subcutaneous mandibular abscess is an acute lesion characterized by localization of
pus in the structures surround the mandibular jaw and spreads into soft tissue under
skin. Most patients are treated with antibiotics, analgetics, and drainage. Surgical
drainage of abscess is usually indicated when the abscess has developed from a hard
serous inflammation to a soft pus stage. Untreated abscess may worsen and lead to
life-threatening complications.

Dentin bonding agents are resin based materials that used in clinical dentistry in
order to prevent leakage and promote adherent of filling material to the enamel and
dentin. However, the polymerization of dentin bonding agents will release residual
monomer that may interact with pulp tissue. This in vitro study is aimed to evaluate
the cytotoxicity of new 7
th
generation dentin bonding agents (G Bond) on stem cells
from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHEDs). The proliferated human pulp cells
were incubated at 37ï‚° C for 48 hours. Under aseptic conditions, extracted test

Radiography as diagnostic tool is essential for treatment plan of implant. Many
techniques used to produce radiography are recommended to support the dentist in
accessing area of implantation. Many implant experts use panoramic radiography as
guidelines of jaw bone evaluation as recommended by implant procedures. In order
to get optimal measurement, occlusal radiography technique can be added to evaluate
the bone thickness.panoramic and periapical radiography can solely evaluate the
width and height of jaw bone. This study proposed to evaluate parametric value, as
width, height, and thickness of jaw bone by conventional dental diagnostic
radiography. This was observational study, with …

Early loss of primary molars may cause a space problem for the arch development.
Several techniques have been used to treat this problem. One of the therapies that
could be used is space maintainer therapy. This paper will explain the management of
premature loss of mandible primary first molar by using a simple fixed space
maintainer combined with molar band and resin composite.

The use of fixed partial denture (FPD) nowdays has been very popular in our society.
This is due to their smaller size, and more convenient to be used and fixed in the
mouth. The choice of nickel chromium (NiCr)as the metal component of FPD is
based on its character of corrosion proof, light, and hard. However, nickel contained
can be allergic. Allergic reactions reported, vary from oedema of tongue and lip, and
mouth lining until anaphylaxis. These reactions are related to the pattern and
corrosion modes, followed by the release of metalic ions like nickel into the oral
cavity. This …

Evaluating The Impact Of A Lend-Based Family Mentorship Program For Pre-Service Professionals, Matthew Bogenschutz, Sarah Lineberry, Jackie Robinson Brock, Flip Grey, Kathryn Flinn
Developmental Disabilities Network Journal
Family-led pre-professional mentoring programs have been shown in past literature to have multiple positive outcomes, including better provider communication, increased sensitivity to the needs and contributions of family members in clinical settings, and better understanding of disability policy contexts among professionals. Yet there have been relatively few examples of exemplary programs that have developed successful models for family mentoring of pre-service professionals. Using qualitative evaluative data from one such program, a component of a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program, this study shares the experiences of both families and trainees. Common themes shared between these two groups …

This qualitative case study explores physically challenged students’ experiences in PATH-fit courses within Philippine higher education, investigating their challenges and adaptive strategies. Through in-depth interviews with five students and two instructors in Pagadian City, researchers uncovered significant barriers, including exercise difficulties, physical discomfort, and social exclusion that profoundly impacted course participation. Despite facing substantial obstacles, students demonstrated remarkable resilience by developing innovative coping mechanisms such as proactive instructor communication, creative alternative activity engagement, and strategic leveraging of written assignments. Employing Resiliency Theory, the research challenged conventional disability perspectives, emphasizing that students’ true potential lies in psychological flexibility and problem-solving skills …

A Case Report Of A Double Descending Dorsal Aorta In A Complex Congenital Heart Disease., Anhar Ali Baeshen, Mohammad Amin Ghulam Rasol, Riad Abouzahr, Zaheer Ahmad Ahmad
Journal of the Saudi Heart Association
Double dorsal aorta is an extremely rare congenital embryological vascular anomaly caused by incomplete regression and fusion of the paired dorsal aortae and may be associated with complex congenital heart disease. We report a 9-year-old girl with complex congenital heart disease who underwent single-ventricle palliation, including a bidirectional Glenn at 10 months of age. During pre-Fontan cardiac catheterization a double descending dorsal aorta was incidentally discovered and later confirmed by CT angiography. Although patient was asymptomatic, recognizing this anomaly is crucial for surgical planning and catheter-based interventions, highlighting the importance of detailed preoperative imaging in single-ventricle patients.
