Comfort And Knowledge As Predictors Of An Accurate Diagnosis Of Factitious Disorder Imposed On Another Among Counseling Professionals, Ari Gartin

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

This quantitative predictive study examined comfort and knowledge as predictors of an accurate Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another (FDIA) diagnosis among master-level mental health counseling professionals in Washington State. This study also explores why researchers have struggled to develop a collective body of knowledge that can predict an accurate diagnosis of FDIA. The person-centered theory model guided this research. Data from the online platform SurveyMonkey was used to collect participant demographics, answers to the diagnostic questionnaire, and answers to the knowledge and comfort survey. All data collection took place between June and July 2024 and all data collected was electronically …

Understanding social determinants of HIV late presentation with advanced disease (LPWA) beyond individual-level factors could help decrease LPWA and improve population-level HIV outcomes. This study aimed to examine county-level social determinants of health (SDOH) with HIV late presentation. We aggregated datasets for analysis by linking statewide HIV diagnosis data from the South Carolina (SC) Enhanced HIV/AIDS Reporting System and multiple social contextual datasets (e.g., the American Community Survey). All adult (18 years and older) people with HIV diagnosed from 2014 to 2019 in SC were included. Linear mixed models with forward selection were employed to explore the association of county-level …

Childhood sexual abuse (CSA) is linked to substance use and lower antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence. However, studies examining the mediational role of substance use between CSA and ART adherence are lacking. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the potential mediational role of substance use between CSA and ART adherence among older adults living with HIV (OALH) (n = 91). Mediation analyses assessed the direct and indirect relationships between CSA, substance use, and ART adherence. Statistically significant differences existed in substance use by gender (male vs. female: 12.3 vs. 9.97) and ART adherence by race (Black vs. …

Boosted Macbeth Technique For Effectiveness Evaluation Of Mental Health Education In College Students Based On Neutrosophic Cubic Sets, Xueyuan Sun

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

The evaluation of the effectiveness of college students' mental health education (MHE) aims to assess the impact of related educational activities on students' mental well-being. Using both quantitative and qualitative methods, it evaluates improvements in students' psychological resilience, knowledge acquisition, emotional management, and the prevention of mental health issues. Effective evaluation helps optimize educational programs, enhancing students' mental health and promoting their overall development. The effectiveness evaluation of college students’ MHE is multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM). Recently, the MACBETH technique and average model were dealt with MADM. The neutrosophic cubic sets (NCSs) are utilized as a better technique for expressing uncertain …

Integrating Kemira With Interval-Valued Neutrosophic Numbers To Assess University English Teaching Quality: A Multi-Attribute Decision-Making Model, Li Ding

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

Evaluating the quality of university English teaching is essential for improving learning outcomes. Key factors include teaching methods, curriculum design, and teacher-student interaction. Effective teachers use engaging approaches that help students develop skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Tailored course content and regular feedback mechanisms, such as surveys and assessments, enhance learning efficiency and address challenges. Teachers' enthusiasm and ability to motivate students greatly influence the quality of teaching. Emphasizing practical communication skills prepares students for real-world applications. This paper introduces the KEmeny Median Indicator Ranks Accordance (KEMIRA) method, combined with interval-valued neutrosophic sets (INSs), to address multiple-attribute decision-making …
