Implications Of Ecologicial Collapse And The Climate Crisis Explored In Spanish Theater Ecocriticism, Alexandra Saneff Apr 2026

Implications Of Ecologicial Collapse And The Climate Crisis Explored In Spanish Theater Ecocriticism, Alexandra Saneff

World Languages and Cultures Student Scholarship

Planeta vulnerable. Teatro ecológico del siglo XXI showcases the ways in which contemporary Spanish theatre participates in cultural and dramaturgical (re)generation. These works reclaim the space of the stage as a site of ecological imagination where catastrophic realities are reframed as opportunities for collective resilience, solidarity, and renewal. In doing so, they align with global movements where art and activism converge, demonstrating the capacity of theatre to cultivate awareness, inspire action, and envision generative futures in the face of planetary vulnerability.

Defending A Partial Inclusion Model In Special Title Education: An Ethics Of Care Approach, Allison Bolanos Apr 2026

Defending A Partial Inclusion Model In Special Title Education: An Ethics Of Care Approach, Allison Bolanos

Philosophy Student Scholarship

In today’s world, there are several different kinds of schools and classrooms, in terms of the cognitive abilities of the students who are present. Some schools are just for those with cognitive disabilities, and others are schools for those without cognitive disabilities, but also have pull out classrooms in which some students can receive specialized curriculums. Parents of children with cognitive disabilities argue for their children saying they should be fully included and immersed in the general education classrooms. They view any sort of pull -out programs or slightly isolated classrooms to be exclusionary, regardless of whether they will benefit …

Rates Of Dysregulation And Treatment Adherence In Autistic Youth, Sara Welch Apr 2026

Rates Of Dysregulation And Treatment Adherence In Autistic Youth, Sara Welch

Public & Community Service Studies Student Scholarship

Approximately 28% of autistic youth demonstrate aggressive behaviors (Baweja et al., 2023) toward themselves and others (e.g., hitting, spitting, biting, head banging, etc.) Dysregulation, including aggression and broader symptom severity, is an important factor in treatment engagement. Prior research suggests that autistic youth with higher levels of dysregulation are less likely to receive mental health treatment and more likely to receive medication management (Vasa et al., 2021). It was unclear how treatment adherence may be affected by varying levels of child dysregulation, particularly whether aggression may alter this relationship over time.

Hypothesis: Greater dysregulation would be associated with greater …

Investigating The Substrate Specificity Of Azo Bond Reduction In The Human Gut Microbiome, Najoude Claude, Annick Kenfack, Glorimar De Los Santos, Madeline Bormes

Chemistry & Biochemistry Student Scholarship

The bacteria of the human gut microbiome can metabolize drugs, often causing unintended side effects. The uniqueness and variability of each individual’s microbial composition, coupled with our limited understanding of specific enzyme functions, make the metabolic outcomes of these therapeutics difficult. Azoreductase enzymes are of particular interest due to their ability to reduce azo bonds, which are often found in drugs and food dyes. Azo dyes can also be reduced nonenzymatically by hydrogen sulfide, a bacterial metabolite produced during sulfate and cysteine metabolism. The goal of this study is to examine the specificity and relative kinetics of both enzymatic and …

Representation Of Active Girls, Women, And Female Athletes In Low Energy Availability Research: A Review, Ahnna E. Faust, Alexis V. Viehl, Melissa T. Lodge Apr 2026

Representation Of Active Girls, Women, And Female Athletes In Low Energy Availability Research: A Review, Ahnna E. Faust, Alexis V. Viehl, Melissa T. Lodge

Health Sciences Student Scholarship

More female athletes are participating in sports today than ever before, yet they remain underrepresented in sport and exercise science (SES) research. According to a 2021 review, 34% of SES research participants are females and just 6% of studies used female-only designs. Female athletes are also at an increased risk for low energy availability (LEA), or a mismatch between energy intake and exercise energy expenditure. However, the representation of women in research related to LEA remains unclear. PURPOSE: This study aimed to (a) evaluate the representation of girls, women, and female athletes in LEA research, and (b) explore methodological characteristics …
