The Next Frontier For Men's Contraceptive Choice: College Men's Willingness To Pursue Male Hormonal Contraception, Laurel M. Peterson, Meriel A. T. Campbell, Zoë E. Laky

Unplanned pregnancy is a concern for emerging adult men, but their contraceptive options are limited. With male hormonal contraception clinical trials in progress, it is important to investigate men’s attitudes toward alternative contraception. Many social factors, such as masculine norms, may hinder their interest. This study used the prototype–willingness model to investigate college men’s willingness to pursue hormonal contraception. Male college students (N = 160; Mage = 19.37, SD = 1.33; 61.9% White) read a description of male contraception clinical trials and filled out a questionnaire assessing prototype–willingness and masculinity constructs. First-Year Writing (fyw) courses are ideal writing spaces where students' diverse identities and language resources can flourish for specific rhetorical purposes. While research has focused on multilingual students' language and writing practices, little attention has focused on self-identified multilingual students' perceptions of language difference in fyw. Research shows that place-based learning is a proven methodology in supporting students in achievement of their academic and social needs. There are inconsistencies related to documenting its success with learning disabled students, especially in the area of self-efficacy. This study attempted to fill this gap in the literature by exploring the perception of educators regarding self-efficacy of students with learning disabilities who have experienced environmental science place-based programs. This Article introduces the right of publicity through a brief consideration of high-profile cases involving, respectively, Paris Hilton, human cannonball Hugo Zacchini, and the famous actress Olivia de Havilland. With this background understanding, the Article considers the supposed risks to freedom of speech posed by recognizing rights of publicity in a private party. From there, the Article addresses the nagging concern that the publicity rights cases promote a harmful "celebrification" of culture. Finally, the Article considers whether allowing for meaningful damage recoveries in publicity rights cases appropriately compensates victims in ways promoting the broad public interest.

By relying on the works of two Palestinian directors – one being a found-footage documentary and the other an experimental piece – this article examines the importance of archives in the elaboration of Palestinian visual memory. Through its complex cinematographic history and the “missing image / ‘invisibled’ image,” Palestinian creators today use the medium of film to bear witness to their presence. Green Behavior And Generation: A Multi-Group Analysis Using Structural Equation Modeling, Reynaldo B. Bautista

The purpose of this research is to investigate the difference between generations X and Y in terms of green behavior operationalized as an intention to buy green products (INT). The study was based on two cross-sectional samples—one for generation X (N=397) and one for generation Y (N=685). Model testing was conducted using structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). At the overall model, results showed that all variables are significant (with p-values ≤ 0.05) predictors of INT. However, at the generation level, there is a significant difference in green values (GV) between generations where generation X registered a higher score. Furthermore, t-test of …

The current study examines if L2 learners of Spanish acquire native-like norms of making a request during short-term study abroad in Argentina and Spain via Discourse Completion Tasks (DCT). The investigation included 3 groups of the participants: an experimental group of 15 U.S. students who studied in Argentina or Spain; a control group of 12 U.S. students who had not studied abroad; and a control group of 7 native speakers of Spanish. Globally, procreation is highly valued, and motherhood has long been seen as the normative role for women. Production of a biologically-related family in keeping with social norms is a key driver of the growing demand for assisted reproductive technologies as a ‘cure’ for infertility, which includes the provision of in vitro fertilisation (IVF) within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is marked by pervasive impairments in social communication and restricted, repetitive interests, behaviors, and activities. Parents raising a child with ASD have consistently reported higher levels of parenting stress compared to parents of typically developing children and children with other disabilities. Several different factors influence parental stress levels at different stages of their child’s life, and so an understanding of the most predictive factors of parental stress at initial ASD assessments is critical to best serving the needs of families with a new diagnosis. In NCAA Division I women’s basketball, Black female coaches make up only a small percentage of the total number of coaches (i.e., 26%; NCAA, 2016) even though the majority of student-athletes are Black (i.e., 51%). Although these discrepancies have recently been recognized in sport studies literature (Borland & Bruening, 2010; LaVoi & Dutove, 2012), sport psychology researchers have yet to explore the underlying structural and psychological issues that lead to the underrepresentation of Black female coaches in NCAA Division I women’s basketball. 流行說法與學術文獻裡，香港戰後農業發展得益於始自1946年的蔬菜統營系統，八十年代逐漸被國内進口菜打擊。無論同情與否，菜農都被描繪為受害／被動者，本研究嘗試超越這視角，提出殖民管治大計既無法馴化菜農，後者亦不能被簡化為内地進口菜的受害者。

借助文化研究的歷史知識論（historical epistemology，見Hall, 2003）、歷史資本主義（historical capitalism，見 Polanyi 1957 ; Braudel 1982）、社會史／庶民研究（social history/ subaltern studies，見 Guha 1997 ; Scott 2009）、行動者網絡理論（actor-network theory，見Latour 2005）等理論視野，本研究試圖開展以本地農業軌跡為本的批判進路，反思農業不斷重組的過程。

研究結果顯示：蔬菜業於殖民地年代並非馴服、被妥貼規管對象，業界積極在内地開設菜場，甚至一度可視為「中港融合」的「典範」，同時曝露出其限制。蔬菜業與市場競爭／發展並不矛盾，特大地理範圍裡的激進商品化，卻改寫了蔬菜、香港的性質與意義。

研究貢獻有三：首先為菜農及蔬菜提供了一種超越國族框架、發展主義的動態理解，補充香港研究、單一學科的狹隘視野；第二，文化研究、歷史資本主義、社會史／庶民研究、行動者網絡的交錯引用，與香港農業史對照和對話，亦豐富了這些潛藏互補可能性的理論傳統；第三，從庶民及蔬菜的角度，補充現存香港故事的某些空白。一方面鬆縛了關於農民及廣義香港人在論述上的被動性，另一方面攞脫人類中心的觀點，考察蔬菜的生產、消費、呈現、身份、規管等環節，如何局部地形構香港社會，及在更廣闊的尺度裡定位「香港」與其他地區的關係，提供一種將狹獈、簡化「本土」觀問題化的視角。

論文主要部份有五章，第一章介紹本研究所採用的方法，並闡釋有關的理論視野與本研究的相關之處及限制。第二章嘗試將新界「問題化」，指出「新界」與「内地」的區分，並非如官式文件般清晰和理所當然。第三章指出在政府統計數據裡「隱形」的農業部門，並不服務殖民地的國民經濟體系，有其自身邏輯與規律。第四章透過八十年代「毒菜心j的兩宗事件，重組所謂「香港農業式微」的社會及制度脈絡，並問題化「香港」和「内地」的對立。第五章分析近年成為本港「菜籃子」寧夏的供港菜場。筆者認為，與其說是「北進」，供港菜場自八十年代其實不斷向「北退」，是一個前境未見樂觀的「中港融合」故事。

Background/Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Parenting Interactions with Children: Checklist of Observations Linked to Outcomes (PICCOLO; Roggman et al., 2013a). This observational measure is composed of 29 items that assess the quality of four domains of parenting interactions that promote child development: affection, responsiveness, encouragement, and teaching.

Methods: The sample included 203 mother-child dyads who had been video-recorded playing together. Fifty-six percent of the children were male, and 44% were female, aged from 10 to 47 months. Video-recorded observations were rated using PICCOLO items.

Advances in DNA sequencing and data analysis make it possible to address questions in population genetics and evolution at the genomic level. Fungi are excellent subjects for such studies, because they are found in diverse environments, have short generation times, can be maintained in culture and have relatively small genomes. My research employed genetic approaches using a variety of sequencing technologies and methods of analysis to explore questions in fungal evolution.

This work will examine the Genesis creation narratives through an ecofeminist critical lens to illuminate the ambivalence regarding both the ecological and feminist concerns pertinent to ecofeminist criticism. While ecology and feminism are major issues in today’s social and political climates, ecofeminism and its presence in biblical scholarship is not as prevalent as one might think. Peruvian mass media has failed in addressing and representing the cultural and ethnic diversity of its country, as the presence and representation of ethnic minorities (indigenous and Afro-Peruvian) are almost exclusively reduced to the reproduction of stereotypes in comedy shows, in which they are often racialized and the target of offenses directly related with their ethnic identities.
