Introduction: Patellofemoral pain is a common condition that results in anterior knee pain and frequently affects a wide range of the population, from adolescents to older adults. The etiology of patellofemoral pain is multifactorial and usually results in peripatellar or retropatellar pain. BACKGROUND: Gleason grade group (GG) upgrading is associated with increased biochemical recurrence (BCR), local progression, and decreased cancer-specific survival (CSS) in prostate cancer (PCa). However, descriptions of the risk factors of GG upgrading are scarce. The objective of this study was to identify risk factors and establish a model to predict GG upgrading.

METHODS: There were 361 patients with PCa who underwent radical prostatectomy between May 2011 and February 2022 enrolled. Purpose: The study aims to investigate the impact of anxiety and depression (dimensions of mental health) on mineworkers' safety behaviors (safety compliance and safety participation) while examining the moderating role of safety climate on these relationships. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative research approach with an explanatory cross-sectional survey research design was adopted. A total of 274 purposively selected mineworkers participated in the study. Responses were obtained from participants through a structured questionnaire which was analyzed using the partial least square structural equation modeling. Nocardiosis is the systemic manifestation of Nocardia infection, often found in immunocompromised individuals. Nocardia are transmitted via inhalation or skin wounds, disseminating hematogenously to organs and rarely, joints. We present a patient with immunosuppression who developed gout of the knee with superimposed Nocardial septic arthritis and a possible subsequent systemic infection.

Our main objective was to compare the characteristics and hospital outcomes of patients with primary and metastatic brain malignancies and to investigate the associated factors related to hospital outcomes.

Methods

We conducted a retrospective, cross-sectional study of 1628 patients with brain malignancies from 8 community hospitals between 2017 and 2022 who were identified using International Classification of Disease codes. A stepwise logistic regression was used to identify demographics and clinical characteristics associated with in-hospital mortality and home discharge.
