Peer Feedback In Nursing Students: A Concept Analysis, Danielle Fleming, Jean Yockey, Susan B. Fowler, Lorie Truhe
General Submissions: Academic Settings and Education-based Materials
Peer feedback is a valuable tool in the nursing skills lab for improving student performance, learning, and self-reflection. Peer feedback has been demonstrated to improve student satisfaction and academic performance when conducted effectively while preparing nursing students for clinical practice (Wong & Shorey, 2022). Giving and receiving peer feedback allows students to develop conflict resolution, self-reflection, and critical thinking abilities (Tornwall, 2018). As nursing programs shift toward competency-based education, developing peer feedback skills becomes increasingly important within the nursing curriculum. This concept analysis aims to understand the concept of peer feedback in pre-licensure nursing students. Implications: Understanding peer feedback allows …

A Nurse Practitioner Driven, Split-Flow Emergency Department Intake System, Wesley Davis
General Submissions: Clinical Settings Materials
As hospital emergency departments (EDs) in the United States face an increased patient volume, challenges emerge to provide effective patient care. This quality improvement project addresses the gaps in ED patient care related to patient flow through the ED by implementing the Door-to-Doc Toolkit. The Door-to-Doc Toolkit improves ED efficiency by redesigning the patient intake process. The cornerstone of the Toolkit is the use of an advanced practice nurse in triage to direct patient flow into the ED. The results of the project show a decreased number of patients leaving before receiving a medical screening exam and decreased time that …
The Effect Of Exercise Type On Working Memory, Ariana Gonzalez, William R. Kochen
The Effect Of Exercise Type On Working Memory, Ariana Gonzalez, William R. Kochen
Journal for Sports Neuroscience
Martial arts encompass a wide range of sports and techniques that have been practiced for self-defense and combat for thousands of years. It has expanded to include various styles such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, judo, and karate. It has also been practiced as a form of exercise and entertainment. Martial arts have been associated to discipline, integrity, improved stamina, and increased mental and problem-solving capabilities. Unlike other exercise methods, most martial arts require focus, skill, and technique, which have been hypothesized to improve memory. The purpose of the study was to determine if there was a significant improvement in the …

A Case Study On The Impact Of An Adapted Community Jury In Shaping The Nutrition Standards For Hospital Menus In New South Wales Australia, Tara L. Dimopoulos-Bick, Melanie Schier, Kim Crawley, Kim Sutherland
Patient Experience Journal
Community juries are a form of deliberative democracy and can engage community groups in decision-making about healthcare and service delivery issues and priorities. They can provide insights and value-based perspectives from community groups and are particularly important in resolving perennial and complex system challenges. One such challenge is nutrition in hospitals–where there is a need to balance nutrition support, variety, taste and cost. The New South Wales (NSW) public health system in Australia operates more than 200 public hospitals. When revising the Nutrition Standards in 2021, stakeholders debated the upper limits of sodium (salt) and saturated fat in food products …

Patient Experience Journal
Objective: The effectiveness of out of hospital lifestyle interventions in healthcare is likely co-dependent on social support from involved one's. We sought to investigate the interrelationships between patient-partner Co-responsibility, Spousal Support, and Self-efficacy and the mechanisms through which they contribute to health behaviors and outcomes relevant to weight loss and maintenance. Methods: Co-responsibility, Spousal Support, self-efficacy, health outcomes and health behaviors like total weight loss, physical activity, OBESI-Q, and health satisfaction were assessed through a questionnaire among 868 individuals attempting to lose weight. Full and semi-partial correlations were used to understand the association between Co-responsibility, Spousal Support, Self-efficacy …

NOTE: A minor correction was made to this article. It was revised on August 6, 2025.
Paediatric Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) are tools that capture what children and young people (CYP) value in their healthcare and promote their involvement in clinical decision-making. A standardised paediatric PREM could improve quality of care for CYP across hospital settings, but CYP are rarely included in the development of PREMs. This study aimed to explore CYP's perspectives regarding their experiences of hospitals as the initial stage of developing the first self-reported paediatric PREM for use in Australia, including the perspectives of vulnerable populations. …

A winery complex uncovered at eṭ-Ṭuweiri, Western Galilee, joins only three published, and several unpublished wineries established in northern Israel in the Roman period. The winery continued to operate in the Byzantine period and went out of use late in the Umayyad period. The article presents the history of research of the site, the excavation and the finds, including pottery, coins and metal objects, as well as inscriptions found at the site in the excavation and in the past. An inscription set in the mosaic floor of one of the treading floors of the winery was dated by the era …

The grapevine (Vitis vinifera) is one of the most significant fruits in global economy, today as in the past. The international modern wine industry, traditional agriculture and wild populations encompass thousands of grapevine varieties, the differences between them often imperceptible to the naked eye and therefore, necessitating the application of digital technologies. This study aimed at establishing a methodology for analyzing grapevine pips using a 3D scanner, including an optimal protocol for removing the pips’ tissue to improve the botanical identification of recent and ancient specimens. The study presents mechanical, chemical and biochemical methods used to prepare the pips for …
