Cross-Language Vulnerability Analysis Via Multimodal Deep Learning, Ghader Aljebreen, Reem Alnanih, Fathy Eassa, Maher Khemakhem, Kamal Jambi, Muhammed Usman Ashraf

Journal of King Abdulaziz University: Computing and Information Technology Sciences

Ensuring robust security in software development is essential due to the growing complexity of systems and the increasing prevalence of vulnerabilities. Existing vulnerability detection (VD) methods typically fall into two categories: multimodal single-language systems, which analyze vulnerabilities from multiple perspectives (e.g., source code and compiled code) but are limited to a single programming language, or unimodal multi-language systems, which focus on only one type of analysis (e.g., source code) while supporting multiple programming languages. These approaches, while effective in specific scenarios, often fail to comprehensively address security challenges due to their inherent limitations. This study introduces a deep learning-based, multimodal, …

In Experiment 1, we assessed the effects of the Good Behavior Game (GBG) on unsafe behavior across three third-grade classes. The GBG effectively reduced unsafe playground behavior relative to baseline, though student-choice data indicated that students did not prefer the intervention. This finding prompted Experiment 2, in which we evaluated synchronous schedule of reinforcement (SSR) as a classwide interdependent group contingency and compared its effectiveness and preference to the GBG. Participants in Experiment …

Fines Migration Versus Mineral Dissolution In Co₂ Injectivity Impairment: A Critical Review And Conceptual Framework For Clay-Rich Sandstone Reservoirs, Umarov Shahzodbek Bakhromjon Ugl Jun 2026

Fines Migration Versus Mineral Dissolution In Co₂ Injectivity Impairment: A Critical Review And Conceptual Framework For Clay-Rich Sandstone Reservoirs, Umarov Shahzodbek Bakhromjon Ugl

Platform: A Journal of Engineering (PAJE)

Sustained injectivity is a controlling operational requirement for geological CO2 storage in deep saline aquifers because near-wellbore permeability loss can restrict injection rates, accelerate pressure build-up and reduce storage efficiency. In sandstone reservoirs containing reactive or mobile clay minerals, CO2-saturated brine may induce coupled geochemical and colloidal processes that cannot be interpreted through bulk porosity change alone. This review critically synthesises evidence on CO2-brine-rock interaction, clay mineral response, fines detachment, pore-throat restriction and injectivity impairment in sandstone systems. The reviewed literature indicates that mineral dissolution, secondary precipitation, salt precipitation, wettability alteration and fines migration can operate simultaneously, but their effects …
