The cyclic GMP-AMP synthase-Stimulator of Interferon Genes (cGAS-STING) pathway is an important DNA-sensing mechanism that increases T cell trafficking and activation in tumors and reverses the immunosuppressive phenotype of myeloid cells. Therefore, direct STING targeting using synthetic cyclic dinucleotides (CDNs) is an attractive strategy for treating lymphocyte-depleted and myeloid cell-enriched tumors, such as glioblastoma (GBM). However, inadequate bioavailability and poor cellular accumulation limit the clinical development of CDNs, particularly for noninvasive administration strategies. Spherical nucleic acids (SNAs) have emerged as promising modular constructs for creating therapeutic lead compounds for many diseases, including different forms of cancer. Here, we report the …

Framework-Based Mathematics Intervention: A Practice Guide For School Psychologists, Shaalein C. Lopez Nov 2025

Framework-Based Mathematics Intervention: A Practice Guide For School Psychologists, Shaalein C. Lopez

Journal of Applied Disciplines

School psychologists are charged with providing guidance related to the implementation of evidence-based interventions across academic subjects including mathematics. Despite recent advances in the availability of empirically supported intervention and instructional strategies in math, finding appropriate math-related interventions that go beyond fluency building and metacognitive techniques into the realm of math understanding and concept building remains difficult for school psychologists. The adaptation of a framework-based approach to mathematics intervention, such as one developed by the National Center on Intensive Intervention, provides school psychologists with an evidence-based approach that overcomes numerous barriers to providing support for students struggling with mathematics learning.

Automated Synthesis And Verification Of Distributed Systems Using Universal Plan Intermediate Representation (Upir), Subhadip Mitra

Defensive Publications Series

The semantic gap between distributed system specifications and implementations leads to significant development costs and runtime failures. This paper presents UPIR (Universal Plan Intermediate Representation), which combines formal verification, program synthesis, and machine learning to automatically generate verified implementations from high-level specifications. The system introduces three key components: (1) a compositional verification engine using SMT solving that achieves O(1) incremental complexity through proof caching and dependency tracking, reducing verification time by up to 274x compared to monolithic approaches; (2) a synthesis engine applying Counterexample-Guided Inductive Synthesis (CEGIS) to distributed systems, generating implementations in 1.97ms average with 43-75% success rates; and …

End-To-End Framework For Llm Multi-Agent Alignment Through Collaborative Feedback Orchestration, Andrea Morandi, Saurabh Gupta

Defensive Publications Series

Large Language Models (LLMs) have revolutionized artificial intelligence (AI) applications across industries. As organizations increasingly deploy these powerful systems, ensuring their alignment with human values, safety requirements, organizational policies, and contextual regulations remain a significant challenge. Existing alignment methods like Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) are labor intensive, expensive, time-consuming, prone to human error, and lack standardized frameworks for implementation. To overcome such issues, a system is proposed herein that uses an Adaptive Multi-Agent Orchestration Framework for Contextual LLM Alignment. The proposed system addresses critical limitations in current alignment approaches.

Spatialized Audio For Immersive Navigation In Augmented Reality, Dongeek Shin

Defensive Publications Series

Navigational cues in augmented reality often rely on visual indicators, which can result in a less immersive user experience. This disclosure presents a method for providing spatialized audio navigation through augmented reality glasses or similar devices. The technology simulates three-dimensional audio, creating the effect of sound originating from specific intermediate or final destinations. By modulating independent speaker responses and simulating the acoustics of a sound’s path, navigational instructions are perceived as coming from a precise location in the user’s environment. This approach enhances augmented reality navigation by creating a more intuitive and immersive audiovisual experience, moving beyond purely visual cues.

Sweat And Subjectivity Copyright Impulses, Danny Friedmann Nov 2025

Sweat And Subjectivity Copyright Impulses, Danny Friedmann

Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal

Generative artificial intelligence (gAI) is generating vast vol- umes of content, including visual art with minimal human effort that competes directly with visual artists and threatens to dilute human culture in the process. In response, courts and copyright offices are quietly reintroducing two doctrines long considered incompatible with modern copyright: sweat of the brow, which rewards labor over originality, and aesthetic discrimination, which risks conditioning protection on perceived merit.

This article is the first to demonstrate how legal authorities are reintroducing these discredited doctrines under the guise of regulating AI-assisted outputs, thereby eroding the set of copyright doctrines accepted by …

When Blatant Stereotype Threat Manipulations Fail: Participant Skepticism, Perceptions Of Experimenter Bias, And Anticipation Of Performance Used For Evaluation, Allison Seitchik, Emily J. Hangen

Psychology Faculty Publications

Past research has found a lack of stereotype threat effects with various explanations. Across four studies, we investigated participant skepticism toward blatant stereotype threat (vs. control) materials by measuring women’s personal beliefs and perceptions of the experimenter’s beliefs about gender differences existing on an upcoming math test. The results supported personal skepticism: participants perceived the experimenter as holding stereotyped beliefs on the task to a greater degree than the participants did themselves, regardless of stereotype threat materials. Although participants’ beliefs and their perceptions of the experimenter’s beliefs did not explain performance, anticipation of their data being used to test for …

How Ftc Data Security Cases Inform The Development Of Legally Accountable Software, Jeff Kosseff, Ellis Fenske, Christopher Brown, Daniel S. Roche

Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal

Over the past two decades, the Federal Trade Commission has brought dozens of enforcement actions against companies for failing to adequately secure customers’ personal information. The actions typically result in a consent decree, in which the company agrees to improve its data security practices and provide the FTC with oversight of those improvements. When the FTC first brought data security cases, its orders generally required the companies to adopt “reasonable” data security programs. But a 2018 Eleventh Circuit opinion, LabMD v. FTC, requires the orders to contain far more specific data security requirements. In this Article, we conduct an in-depth …

Detecting Generative-Ai-Enabled Polymorphic Malware: A Semantic-Behavior Approach, Allyson M. Morris

Cybersecurity Undergraduate Research Showcase

AI drastically reduces the effort required to produce malware that mutates both its code and behavior, thereby creating polymorphic and nondeterministic variants in which traditional signatures and many heuristic defenses fail. In this paper, I survey recent developments in AI-assisted malware generation, explain why conventional defenses are insufficient, and propose a layered detection architecture emphasizing semantic behavior, streaming anomaly detection, and defensive generative augmentation. I also outline why this approach generalizes to previously unseen AI-mutated samples, provide an evaluation plan with meaningful metrics, and describe a feasible MVP roadmap for practical deployment. Recent disclosures and threat intelligence further highlight the …

Where Did All The Genericide Cases Go? And Should They Be Gone For Good?, Daniela Camacho

Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal

Trademarks are all around us. It would be difficult to go an entire day without encountering a trademark—In fact, three-fourths of the words we use in our day-to-day conversations have been claimed as trademarks by various companies for various products. Often, we don’t even recognize all the marks we come across as trademarks. Words such as “aspirin,” “escalator,” and “trampoline” were all once trademarks. Over time, these words began to signify the product more than the producer; Because the marks could no longer identify the product’s source as trademarks are supposed to, the marks suffered “genericide” and were cancelled.
