Trustworthy Ai: Prohibited Practices, Ethical Principles, And The Identification Of Problems, Anna Karmańska
Journal of Global Awareness
The following considerations arise from the study of texts of documents of a legal nature and from the author’s judgments. They do not present the results of the author’s own empirical research; however, they constitute a factual study that is important for their undertaking in the next step. Having given concern but also hopes for AI, the author focuses her attention on issues that, not only in her opinion, have a strong bearing on the preservation of humanity in a digital environment and at the same time with technocratic features. These issues (prohibited practices, high-risk systems, and ethics) related to …

Object Tracking Based On Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization, Rajesh Misra, Kumar Ray
Journal of Global Awareness
In Computer Vision domain, moving Object Tracking is considered as one of the toughest problems. As there are so many factors associated like illumination of light, noise, occlusion, sudden start and stop of moving object, shading which makes tracking even harder problem not only for dynamic background but also for static background. In this paper we present a new object tracking algorithm based on Dominant points on tracked object using Quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) which is a new different version of PSO based on Quantum theory. The novelty in our approach is that it can be successfully applicable in …

Effects Of External Debt On Inflation In The West African Monetary Zone (Wamz), Collins Anosike
Journal of Global Awareness
This research examined the effect of external public debt on inflation in the West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ) using annual data from 1960 to 2022. The study selected the six member countries of WAMZ, namely: Gambia, Guinea, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Ghana, to examine their economic well-being, growth performance, external debt, and inflation over a 63-year period. This study is unique because it examines three periods, namely: pre-WAMZ (1960 to 2000); during WAMZ (2001 to 2022); and the entire period (1960 to 2022), extends previous studies by using updated data, and then shows the long-run positive effect of external …

Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
This article presents the application of cost-effective photogrammetry techniques for surveying, recording, and documenting stone circles in County Wicklow using two case studies. The article explains, that, while digital photogrammetry may seem accessible, understanding its technical aspects is crucial to achieving accurate results and that a fundamental grasp of the photogrammetry process is necessary for generang precise 3D models of heritage objects and structures. The first case study presents details of the methods for capturing data and uploading it to create 3D models. The second case study demonstrates how to utilise the 3D survey for digital reconstruction and the potential …

Tripping The Light Fantastic: Using Light-Based Technics To Digitally Document Megalithic Architecture, Eimear Meegan, Maurice Murphy Dr, A. Corns
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
This paper presents and discusses the preliminary results of a small scale visualisation project as part of which the low-cost LiDAR scanner that now comes as standard with the iPad Pro was used in conjunction with both the Arctec Leo structured light scanner and photogrammetric survey methods to record, analyse and present the recently excavated remains of a Neolithic passage tomb at Dowth Hall, Co, Meath, Ireland. It considers the ease and speed with which the small to medium scale structural components found here can be scanned or photographed, meshed, and textured using each approach and further explores whether the …

Semi-Automatic Modelling Of Building Facades With Shape Grammars Using Historic Building Information Modelling, Conor Dore Dr, Maurice Murphy Dr.
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
This paper outlines a new approach for generating digital heritage models from laser scan or photogrammetric data using Historic Building Information Modelling (HBIM). HBIM is a plug-in for Building Information Modelling (BIM) software that uses parametric library objects and procedural modelling techniques to automate the modelling stage. The HBIM process involves a reverse engineering solution whereby parametric interactive objects representing architectural elements are mapped onto laser scan or photogrammetric survey data. A library of parametric architectural objects has been designed from historic manuscripts and architectural pattern books. These parametric objects were built using an embedded programming language within the ArchiCAD …

Parametric Vector Modelling Of Laser And Image Surveys Of 17th Century Classical Architecture In Dublin, Maurice Murphy Dr, Eugene Mcgovern, Sara Pavia
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
The product of a laser scan survey of a building or artefact is a point cloud which defines the geometry of the object, and when combined with image data the object edges and material textures can be identified. The point cloud survey is useful for visualisation and also as a record of the 3D surfaces of an object. Where conserva-tion or restoration work is to be carried out on the object conventional orthographic or 3D survey drawings are required. Survey drawings can be created by mapping vectors on to the point cloud or textured point cloud. This is a complex …

Developing Historic Building Information Modelling Guidelines And Procedures For Architectural Heritage In Ireland, Maurice Murphy Dr, A. Corns
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
Cultural heritage researchers have recently begun applying Building Information Modelling (BIM) to historic buildings. The model is comprised of intelligent objects with semantic attributes which represent the elements of a building structure and are organised within a 3D virtual environment. Case studies in Ireland are used to test and develop the suitable systems for (a) data capture/digital surveying/processing (b) developing library of architectural components and (c) mapping these architectural components onto the laser scan or digital survey to relate the intelligent virtual representation of a historic structure (HBIM). While BIM platforms have the potential to create a virtual and intelligent …

Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
In this paper the current findings to date of the Historic Building Information Model (HBIM) of the Four Courts in Dublin are presented. The Historic Building Information Model (HBIM) forms the basis for both structural and conservation analysis to measure the impact of war damage which still impacts on the building. The laser scan survey was carried out in the summer of 2014 of the internal and external structure. After registration and processing of the laser scan survey, the HBIM was created of the damaged section of the building and is presented as two separate workflows in this paper. The …
Current State Of Art Historic Building Information Modelling, Conor Dore Dr, Maurice Murphy Dr
Current State Of Art Historic Building Information Modelling, Conor Dore Dr, Maurice Murphy Dr
Journal of Academic Research and Innovation
In an extensive review of existing literature a number of observations were made in relation to the current approaches for recording and modelling existing buildings and environments: Data collection and pre-processing techniques are becoming increasingly automated to allow for near real-time data capture and fast processing of this data for later modelling applications. Current BIM software is almost completely focused on new buildings and has very limited tools and pre-defined libraries for modelling existing and historic buildings. The development of reusable parametric library objects for existing and historic buildings supports modelling with high levels of detail while decreasing the modelling …

Types, Shadows, And Spiritual Experience: Theological Interpretation As A Pentecostal Approach To Song Of Solomon, Audrey E. Mccormick
Types, Shadows, And Spiritual Experience: Theological Interpretation As A Pentecostal Approach To Song Of Solomon, Audrey E. Mccormick
Spiritus: ORU Journal of Theology
An allegorical interpretation of the Song of Solomon has been central in Pentecostal spirituality. This approach was unique for its time as it demonstrated a break from modernity, which prized historical-grammatical biblical interpretive methods. This essay argues that, knowingly or not, early Pentecostal engagement with the Song of Solomon exhibited affinities with ancient practices of biblical interpretation known as theological interpretation. Additionally, it reveals theological interpretation to be a key for understanding early Pentecostalism and guiding the ongoing developments of a uniquely Pentecostal hermeneutic.

An Unfolding Vision Of Transformation: A Comparison Of The S/Spirit Motif In Romans 8 And Jubilees 1:19-26, Lemuel J. Godinez
Spiritus: ORU Journal of Theology
This study compares the role of the s/Spirit motif in Paul’s writing and that of a Second Temple Jewish theologian’s. The books of Romans and Jubilees, respectively, appear to develop their language of renewal within a developing trajectory motifs in the Hebrew Scriptures, including “heart circumcision,” “new covenant,” and “the s/Spirit.” One would be hard-pressed to prove intertextuality between Romans and Jubilees (which this study does not claim). Yet, the renewal description in Romans 8 is evocatively similar to Jubilees 1:19–26. Paul may therefore have developed his portrayal and narration of the Spirit in the vein of Second Temple thought. …
