A Lesson Learned From The Integration Of Bim In Construction Engineering Education In An Indonesian Polytechnic, Abdi Suryadinata Telaga
Jurnal Pendidikan Vokasi
The Indonesian construction industry has increasingly adopted Building Information Modeling (BIM). One of the barriers to adopting BIM is BIM skills among graduates are still rare. Therefore, higher education institutions have to adopt BIM into their curriculum. However, as BIM is a new concept in construction engineering, many higher education institutions have a problem integrating BIM. Therefore, the paper proffers a syllabus to integrate BIM in a vocational higher education institution. The research methodology follows the Tyler model of curriculum development. It started with a review of prominent BIM integration into higher education research. Then, discussion with BIM practitioners from …

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is established by UNESCO and ILO as education and training beneficial for the community. The community will be able to develop when they can use their leadership skill properly. This is what makes adult vocational education very important in building the nation. One example of the role of adult vocational education is reducing unemployment through a heutagogy approach. The heutagogy approach centered on individual participants, where the individual has full autonomy in creating their learning. The heutagogy approach is also helpful for developing an individual's self-capacity and vocational self-concept. The individual vocational self-concept …

The unemployed from vocational high schools (SMK) is still high. Several factors, including the low job readiness of vocational students and the small availability of jobs, cause the high unemployment rate for vocational schools. This study aims to develop a learning model of Integrated Project Based Learning (PjBL-T) and test the effectiveness of the PjBL-T model in preparing vocational students' job readiness. The design of this study adopted the Richey and Klein model stages. This research was carried out in three stages: model development, internal validation, and external validation. This study used research subjects consisting of 10 vocational teachers, ten …

The article's main purpose is to study the method of storing sulfur in solid form in a large block at Tengizshevroil deposits and dispose of sulfur residues. Thus, we have to admit that, in this case, the evaluation of the effectiveness of the innovation at the stage of its development was performed incorrectly, and thus the consumer was misled. As a rule, the production activities of enterprises are planned according to the average parameters that are not known reliably in advance and can change randomly. At the same time, a situation with sharp changes in these indicators is extremely undesirable …

Biotransformation And Biodefluorination Of Fluorotelomer Carboxylic Acids, Chen Wu
Dissertations
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), a class of emerging contaminants of concern, have attacked unprecedented attention given their prevalent detection and adverse health effects. Primary regulatory attention has been focused on PFOA, PFOS, and other perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs). Recent investigations revealed that fluorotelomer carboxylic acid (FTCAs), particularly 5:3 FTCA and 6:2 FTCA, were dominant in landfill leachates and other environmental matrixes. FTCAs are also found as common intermediates during the biotransformation of PFAA precursors. Unfortunately, FTCAs have higher bioaccumulating potential and are at least two orders more toxic than their corresponding PFCAs. However, information regarding the potentials and mechanisms of …

There are many reports presenting expert policy recommendations, and a substantial volume of research supporting them, that detail what should shape and guide statutes for juvenile competency to stand trial. Ohio has adopted provisions consistent with some of these recommendations, which is better protection than relying on case law and the adult statutes, as some states have done. However, the Ohio statute should be considered a work in progress.
Since appeals courts are unlikely to provide meaningful review for the substance of a juvenile competency determination, the need for procedures for ensuring that the determination is initially made in a …

In 2025, Indonesia has launched a zero-waste program. Towards a zero-waste program, of course, the community is given awareness in sorting and processing waste. Waste management is a common problem in urban or rural areas, along with the increase in population and people's lifestyles. Waste problems that are not handled properly can cause environmental problems (pollution of air, soil, and water) and public health. Based on the origin, waste is divided into organic and inorganic waste; organic waste is produced from biological materials that can be degraded by microbes or are biodegradable, or waste from fruit, vegetable, and leaf residues. …
