Expanding Automotive Supply Chain Visibility Beyond Tier 1 Suppliers For Semiconductors, Jonathan Goulding Dec 2025

Expanding Automotive Supply Chain Visibility Beyond Tier 1 Suppliers For Semiconductors, Jonathan Goulding

Doctoral Dissertations and Projects

The research investigated the challenges and benefits automotive manufacturers face in achieving sub-tier supply chain visibility for semiconductor components. During the COVID-19 global pandemic, semiconductor shortages became a critical issue. A pragmatic, flexible qualitative case study design approach was employed to understand automotive semiconductor sub-tier visibility gaps. The key findings indicated there are initial barriers to transparency and challenges with data quality. There were challenges with sub-tier visibility integration, including internal resistance and system integration issues. The findings also showed that achieving sub-tier visibility can offer potential benefits in terms of enhanced reliance and mitigated risk. The study made significant …

The goal was to inform culturally responsive and theologically sensitive improvements tailored to the needs of this specific faith-based community. The setting for the study was an urban Black church in southern Texas. Bronfenbrenner’s ecological system theory was the theoretical framework guiding this study. According to this theory, a …

Personality Traits And Perceived Barriers: A Comparative Study Of Teacher Views On Behavior Interventions, Patricia Geiger Lee Dec 2025

Personality Traits And Perceived Barriers: A Comparative Study Of Teacher Views On Behavior Interventions, Patricia Geiger Lee

Doctoral Dissertations and Projects

Maladaptive behaviors negatively affect both students and teachers. Students’ academic success, mental health, and safety are jeopardized by these behaviors, while teachers experience increased stress and burnout when managing them. Behavior interventions have been shown to reduce maladaptive behaviors and improve outcomes. Although most teachers agree that certain factors act as barriers to implementing behavior interventions, there is no consensus on the frequency or impact of these barriers. Guided by the Big Five Theory, this quantitative study examined how teachers’ levels of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness were associated with differences in their perceptions of the frequency and impact …

A Predictive Correlational Study Of The Relationship Between Faculty Leadership Styles And Teacher Communication Orientation In Jamaica’S Higher Education System, Zandy Uriel Elliott Dec 2025

A Predictive Correlational Study Of The Relationship Between Faculty Leadership Styles And Teacher Communication Orientation In Jamaica’S Higher Education System, Zandy Uriel Elliott

Doctoral Dissertations and Projects

This quantitative study examined the extent to which faculty leadership styles, gender, and years of experience predict teacher communication orientation, specifically assertiveness (TCO-A) and responsiveness (TCO-R), among higher educational institutions in Jamaica. Grounded in communication theory and leadership frameworks, the study explored how faculty leadership express themselves and respond to others. Data were collected from 216 faculty members using the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) and the Sociocommunicative Orientation Scale (SCO). Descriptive analyses indicated that participants’ mean responsiveness scores were slightly higher than assertiveness scores across all years-of-experience categories, with many displaying traits consistent with an “Amiable” to “Expressive” communication profile …

Rural Policing In Northern Wisconsin: Will Small-Town Police Officers Stay At Their Current Agency Until Retirement Based On Age And Community Size, Thomas J. Thompson Dec 2025

Rural Policing In Northern Wisconsin: Will Small-Town Police Officers Stay At Their Current Agency Until Retirement Based On Age And Community Size, Thomas J. Thompson

Doctoral Dissertations and Projects

This study examined the plans of small-town northern Wisconsin police officers to remain at their current agency until retirement, based on age and community size. The hypothesis was that older officers who had been with an agency for a longer period would stay until retirement, while younger officers would be more likely to leave. Younger officers tend to have less buy-in to the community and possibly fewer ties to a specific community. Officers who are older or have been with an agency for a long time have a greater investment in the agency and the community. The study results showed …

Narrative theory informs this study with the concept participants of narrative group therapy can not only create, examine, and reauthor their stories but find connection with others and empowerment in sharing their stories. Participants in this study completed an interview and …

Brain Metabolic-Functional (De)Coupling From Health To Glioma Dysfunction, G Vallini, G Baron, E Silvestri, T Volpi, A G Vlassenko, M S Goyal, A Chiuso, D Cecchin, M Corbetta, A Bertoldo Dec 2025

Brain Metabolic-Functional (De)Coupling From Health To Glioma Dysfunction, G Vallini, G Baron, E Silvestri, T Volpi, A G Vlassenko, M S Goyal, A Chiuso, D Cecchin, M Corbetta, A Bertoldo

2020-Current year OA Pubs

The interplay between brain metabolism and function supports the brain's adaptive capacity in cognitively demanding processes. Prior work has linked glucose metabolism to resting-state fMRI activity, but often overlooks both hemodynamic confounders in the BOLD signal and the brain's dynamic nature. To address this, we employed a novel effective connectivity decomposition, separating symmetric partial covariance, capturing "true" statistical dependencies between regions, from antisymmetric differential covariance, reflecting directional brain flow. In 42 healthy subjects, we show that partial covariance corresponds to metabolic connectivity across regions, while node directionality relates to standardized uptake value ratio, a proxy for local glucose consumption. We …

2017 Rocky Mountain National Park Research Conference, United States Department Of Interior Dec 2025

2017 Rocky Mountain National Park Research Conference, United States Department Of Interior

Rocky Mountain National Park

The work highlighted by this conference addresses key issues, including climate change, the spread of exotic plants, large scale restoration needs, environmental contaminants and disease, a need for greater relevancy to youth, and inadequate capacity to keep pace with growing visitation. The NPS Director's Order "Resource Stewardship for the 21st Century" directs park managers to steward resources for continuous change that is not yet fully understood. This challenge makes research, learning, and engagement at local to global scales more important than ever. The magnitude of issues and opportunities currently facing park managers is reflected in the breadth and depth of …

A Proposed Study Of Tone Indicators In Sentimental Analysis And Emotion Detection, Andrea Llanas Dec 2025

A Proposed Study Of Tone Indicators In Sentimental Analysis And Emotion Detection, Andrea Llanas

Infinite Loop

Sentimental analysis and emotion detection have been an ever-growing field in academic literature in recent years [1,2,3]. There are many methods and techniques to distinguish positive and negative tokens as well as classification of emotions respectively. However, the use of tone indicators has been relatively underexplored within the field.

Tone indicators are a relatively recent trend in social media. Users denote a positive or negative connotation as well as an emotion in a sentence at the moment of conception with syntax such as “/s,” “/pos,” and “/neg.” These annotations often are context-free, or do not depend on previously declared information, …
