Utilization Of Dual Catalysts For High-Yield Boron Nitride Nanotube Synthesis Via Chemical Vapor Deposition, Şaban Kalay
Utilization Of Dual Catalysts For High-Yield Boron Nitride Nanotube Synthesis Via Chemical Vapor Deposition, Şaban Kalay
Turkish Journal of Chemistry
The direct synthesis of boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) in high-temperature furnaces remains highly challenging due to difficulties in optimizing key experimental parameters such as synthesis temperature and catalyst composition. These challenges often result in uncontrolled growth behavior, adversely affecting the quality and yield of the BNNTs. In this study, colemanite was effectively utilized as a boron source for the high-yield synthesis of directionally aligned BNNTs. The synthesis was carried out using a CVD method that used a dual-catalyst system comprising Fe2O3 and MgO in conjunction with a silicon carbide template under high-temperature conditions. The resulting …

Optimizing Crime Response Time Using Predictive Analytics Models, Mohammad Hassan Bin Yaqoob
Theses
Timely and efficient emergency response is essential for public safety, particularly in high- risk urban environments. However, existing dispatch systems often rely on reactive decision- making, leading to delays and inefficient resource allocation. This thesis explores how artificial intelligence (AI) and data modeling can enhance police response times through predictive analytics. A systematic review of 17 peer-reviewed studies identified key predictors such as dispatch behavior, crime history, temporal characteristics, and geographic location. Using real-world emergency response and crime data, predictive models were developed and evaluated through algorithms including XGBoost, Linear Support Vector Machine (LSVM), Generalized Linear Model (GLM), and Neural …

Import Substitution Industrialization In Africa: Guinea's Experience, Mamadou Saliou Diallo
Import Substitution Industrialization In Africa: Guinea's Experience, Mamadou Saliou Diallo
Markets, Globalization & Development Review
Import substitution industrialization (ISI) is such a template that many countries lagging behind in terms of development considered as an essential phase. The process of adopting ISI by these countries, however, displays contrasts in many aspects. The more apparent cases of differences in ISI adoption emanate from the East-Asian and Sub-Saharan African (SSA) models. These two regions are both latecomers in that industrial revolution, compared to Latin American countries being pioneers, was a chronologically later undertaking. Despite constraining factors, the East-Asian model thrives to become a successful experience. Meanwhile, SSA and Latin American countries still strive to achieve this ambition. …

Absolute Extraction: Utilizing Rural Critical Criminology To Examine Appalachia’S Toxic Dependence On Extractive Industries, Andrew Kennedy
The Mid-Southern Journal of Criminal Justice
Brought forth by common rhetoric, Appalachia is often viewed as the closest space to that of an empyrean domain. Separated from the sleepless city, its allure rests in its created identity of a quiet, green escape from the city, which offers serenity on all fronts. Although Appalachia can fulfill this profile, such an ascension ignores the burning yellow grass below. The purpose of this paper is to examine the history of the destruction of Appalachia through the lens of extractive industries and the region’s designation as a sacrifice zone. Through the application of rural critical criminology, this paper holds that …
