The Springs Bulletin - December 2, 1970, Springs Cotton Mills
The Springs Bulletin 1970-1979
The Springs Cotton Mill originated with the establishment of the Fort Mill Manufacturing Co., which opened its first plant in Fort Mill, SC, in 1888. Over time, the company expanded, opening additional plants in Lancaster, Chester, and Kershaw, SC. At its peak, Springs was the largest industrial employer in South Carolina. In 2001, Springs began a partnership with the Brazil-based company Coteminas, and in 2005, the two companies merged to form Springs Global. By 2007, Springs had ceased all manufacturing operations in South Carolina. The Springs Bulletin was a newspaper for Springs employees, providing updates on the company's plants, departments, …

A Look At The Protestant Church In The City, David J. Hauman
Honors Projects
It is the purpose of this study to explore some of the numerous facets of the church in the city and more especially the inner-city. Trite, though it may be, it should be stated that it would be utterly impossible to cover every aspect of this problem. Instead, the author wishes only to touch on a few chosen subjects in hopes that this will spark interested readers to further investigation. The magnitude of the problem is immense and could not possibly be covered in one paper, or in one volume.

The history of the First Unitarian Church of San Jose reveals the church as a microcosm in the macrocosm of Unitarianism and Protestantism in the United States during the last century. Certain themes and tensions have established themselves as they have arisen and been repeated in the history of the San Jose church against the background of Unitarianism and Protestantism in San Jose, in California and in the United States.

Church, Ministry And Mission Fields, Maynard Dorow
Concordia Theological Monthly
The ministry is currently the focus of considerable attention on nearly all Christian fronts. On the American scene this attention has been occasioned in part by the general shortage of clergy. More than this, however, questions are being raised concerning the role of the pastor and the relevance of the ministry as presently conceived for our industrial and urban society.
Christianity Encounters Totalitarianism In Germany, Viola M. Gross
Christianity Encounters Totalitarianism In Germany, Viola M. Gross
Masters Theses
First paragraph:
The German Church of the twentieth century offers a unique opportunity for study. It has twice faced a totalitarian government and has needed to learn to exist and carry on its witness to the Word of God in the face of almost insurmountable obstacles. The purpose of this paper is to contrast and compare the answer of the Church and the Christian to the National Socialists and to the Communists in East Germany, and to determine if possible if Christianity has learned the way through its desperate struggle in this century to continue its task under a hostile …
