Mbj-Neutrosophic Structure Applied To Bp-Algebras: Bp-Subalgebras And Α-Ideals, Bavanari Satyanarayana, Shake Baji, Anjaneyulu Naik K.
Neutrosophic Systems with Applications
In this article, we introduce the concepts of MBJ-neutrosophic BP-subalgebras and MBJ-neutrosophic α-ideals in BP-algebra by applying MBJ-neutrosophic logic to algebraic structure BP-algebra. We prove that the intersection of two MBJ-neutrosophic α-ideals and the inverse image of an MBJ-neutrosophic α-ideal are also MBJ-neutrosophic α-ideals. Furthermore, we prove an MBJ-neutrosophic set is an MBJ-neutrosophic BP-subalgebra if and only if its level sets are BP-subalgebras.
Solving N-Players Continuous Differential Games Under Neutrosophic Environment, M. G. Brikaa
Solving N-Players Continuous Differential Games Under Neutrosophic Environment, M. G. Brikaa
Neutrosophic Systems with Applications
Uncertainty plays a crucial role in decision-making problems, particularly in game theory. Various forms of uncertainty have been explored in the literature, including fuzzy, soft, rough, and interval-based approaches. Game theory has been extensively studied under these uncertainty models, with researchers addressing vagueness, and imprecision from multiple perspectives. More recently, neutrosophic sets have emerged as an alternative framework for handling uncertainty. Neutrosophic numbers effectively incorporate indeterminacy in decision-making by considering factors such as intuition, assumptions, judgment, behavior, evaluation, and preferences of decision-makers. This paper presents a novel approach to solving a new class of n-player continuous differential games within a …

Constructing And Confirming The Viability Of Nested Helmholtz Coils As An Education Model For Clinical Mri Systems, Yoel Kim
Honors Theses
Our goal was to construct a viable laboratory model utilizing oscillating compasses as a visual and manipulable analogue for magnetically resonant proton procession in a clinical magnetic resonance (MR) system for students without a strong background in nuclear physics. The constructed model -- which utilized concentric perpendicular helmholtz coils -- was tested for its ability to replicate the 3 central components in the clinical MR system: the main coils, the RF coils and the gradient coils. Experiments were conducted to demonstrate that each portion of the apparatus was successfully able to model its analogue in the clinical MR system, as …

Neutrosophic Automata And Its Algebraic Properties, Anil Kr. Ram, Anupam K. Singh
Neutrosophic Systems with Applications
This research endeavors to elucidate the interrelationships among various classes of operators, including neutrosophic successor/neutrosophic source/neutrosophic core operators of neutrosophic automata based on neutrosophic resituated lattices. Furthermore, it delves into the characterization of algebraic properties such as neutrosophic subsystem, neutrosophic connectivity, and neutrosophic separability of a neutrosophic automaton using these operators. Finally, we study the concepts of neutrosophic primaries of the given neutrosophic automata using neutrosophic core operators.
An Approach For Hybridizing N-Subalgebra With Quantified Neutrosophic Set Using G-Algebra, Neha Andaleeb Khalid, Muhammad Saeed
An Approach For Hybridizing N-Subalgebra With Quantified Neutrosophic Set Using G-Algebra, Neha Andaleeb Khalid, Muhammad Saeed
Neutrosophic Systems with Applications
Neutrosophic sets are a generalized form of fuzzy sets as well as intuitionistic fuzzy sets, as they address the uncertainty factor as an independent component along with truthfulness and falsity. However, traditional neutrosophic approaches often struggle with effectively managing and quantifying indeterminate elements in complex algebraic structures. To address this limitation, this paper employs an expanded version of the neutrosophic set, incorporating a subalgebra. The proposed research is multifaceted: firstly, the new concept of N-Subalgebra (NSU) is proposed. This is the modified setting in the family of subalgebras whose proposed name is the representation of the author's initial name. Secondly, …

Prehistoric Origins Of The Chippewa Indians, Ronald A. Janke
Prehistoric Origins Of The Chippewa Indians, Ronald A. Janke
The Geographical Bulletin
This paper investigates the location of precontact Chippewa contacts and the complexities of the geographic environment in which they occurred. Reconstructed land use and settlement maps along with recent archaeological and linguistic research have added new ideas concerning the origin, early migrations, and contacts of the Chippewa Indians. Very little is known about the culture and the area that the Chippewa occupied before the time of European influence. According to the legends and traditions of the Chippewa, they originally inhabited the area next to the Gulf of the St. Lawrence River, near the Atlantic Ocean, and gradually moved westward and …
The Impact Of A Growth Center On An Agricultural Hinterland: A Case Study Of Taegu, Korea, Soohyun Chon
The Impact Of A Growth Center On An Agricultural Hinterland: A Case Study Of Taegu, Korea, Soohyun Chon
The Geographical Bulletin
Although the location of large urban centers such as Seoul, Pusan, and Taegu has had a major impact on changes in the surrounding agricultural hinterland, regional differences of agricultural development in Korea have not received much attention until recently (Fig. 1). Keidel, for example, noted that Kyongi-do and Kyongsangnam-do have higher agricultural income levels than the remainder of the country because they produce commercial crops for Seoul and Pusan, respectively.1 More recently, after the construction of a modern highway between these two cities, Chungchongbuk-do and Kyongsangbuk-do provinces emerged as the major suppliers of commercial crops for Seoul and Pusan. If …

Women have been denied equality, especially with respect to their male counterparts. Feminism is the theory that seeks to explain this by the norms, beliefs, and societal pressure by which women have been excluded. One predominant realm in which women have been excluded is politics. Although there has been a rise in female politicians across the world, they continue to face the same stereotypes as before. Thus, this study delves into the implications of having more female leaders, looking more specifically at liberal feminist international relations theory. By reviewing literature, this study finds that female leaders impact a variety of …

Hats: Communication Through Various Creative Modes, Lauren Derscheid, Kali Jo Wacker
Hats: Communication Through Various Creative Modes, Lauren Derscheid, Kali Jo Wacker
Celebration of Research
This project began as a single word: trend.
Hats, a children’s story, attempts to reveal the negative impact of trends by creating a world where each day brings a new trend in the hottest accessory—hats. As new hats are donned, the hats of yesterday are quickly discarded. The story highlights, alternately, the value of unique personal expression.
At the start of ENG176, this project simply aimed to define the word ‘trend’ through story. Throughout the remainder of the class further layers were added. The visual, auditory, gestural, spatial, and material modes were used to supplement the linguistic mode. These …

Evaluating The Efficacy Of Focused Ultrasound In Neurological Disorders And Malignancy, Kennedi Henke, Ryan Takens, Heidi Smith, Andrea Crew
Celebration of Research
Focused Ultrasound (FUS) is an emerging therapeutic strategy for neurological diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and brain tumors. Despite advancements in conventional treatments, challenges such as invasive procedures, limited drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier (BBB), and declining long-term efficacy necessitate novel approaches. FUS offers non-invasive neuroablation, BBB modulation, and enhanced drug delivery, positioning it as a promising alternative to traditional therapies. This review examines the clinical evidence on FUS’s role in tumor reduction, tremor management, and amyloid plaque reduction, highlighting its benefits, challenges, and future potential in neurological disease treatment.

Celebration of Research
Plant-based compounds have garnered interest as alternative and adjunct cancer therapies due to their anti-proliferative properties. This study examines the effects of guarana (Paullinia cupana), apple peel (Malus domestica), milk thistle (Silybum marianum), elderberry (Sambucus nigra), and berberis (Berberis vulgaris) on HeLa cell proliferation. Using in vitro CyQuant assays, we assessed their impact at varying concentrations. Results indicate that guarana and apple peel extracts may exhibit anti-proliferative activity, with guarana acting synergistically with paclitaxel. We believe the extracts are likely acting through oxidative stress modulation, apoptosis induction, and cell cycle disruption (Cavalcanti et al., 2020; Hertz, 2015; Khan et al., …

Pareidolia And Creative Potential: Exploring Individual Differences In Attention To Pareidolia, Anna Prinz
James Madison Undergraduate Research Journal (JMURJ)
Faces are important stimuli in our environments and elicit a greater attentional response than non-faces. This is also true for pareidolic faces, which are objects in which individuals see features of faces such as eyes and mouths. Creative potential can affect pareidolic processing. Recent studies have found that perceptions of pareidolia occur more often and quickly in individuals with higher creative potential (HCP) compared to individuals with lower creative potential (LCP), which might contribute to greater distractibility for HCP individuals. In the present study, I expected that individuals with HCP would be more distracted by less pareidolic stimuli compared to …

Medical Student Research Symposium
Background:
Olfactory stem cells hold great promise as a treatment for neural injury and disease. Two types of stem cells are known to be present in the olfactory mucosa – basal epithelial cells and mesenchymal cells in the lamina propria. Basal epithelial cells, under stimulation of mesenchymal cells, are known to differentiate into neurons1,2. Among other immunomodulatory functions3, mesenchymal cells are also observed to differentiate into neurons. Improvement with olfactory stem cells is observed in various animal models, including head injury4, nerve repair5,6, and Alzheimer’s disease7. The purpose of this …

Implications Of Glyphosate-Based Herbicides On The Female Reproductive System And Reproductive Outcomes, Alexandra Stone, Olivia G. Camp Ms, David Bai Md, Awoniyi Awonuga, Husam M. Abu-Soud
Medical Student Research Symposium
Background
Glyphosate-based herbicides (GBHs) are the most widely used herbicides in the United States, accounting for 19% of estimated global use. Although the Environmental Protection Agency has reaffirmed that the active ingredient glyphosate (GLY) is safe for humans, recent studies on exposure have suggested an association with cancer, metabolic disorders, endocrine disruption and infertility, and Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Recently, we have shown that GLY exposure deteriorates metaphase II oocyte quality through zinc deficiency, ROS accumulation, and chromosome disruption. In this work, we review the mechanisms of GLY toxicity in the female reproductive tract and discuss the potential clinical implications …
Sex Offenses, Judy R. Potter
Sex Offenses, Judy R. Potter
Maine Law Review
A central theme of the Maine Criminal Code is to "distinguish behavior that is merely socially undesirable from that which is sufficiently threatening to require the specialized effort of the criminal law to prevent it." Nowhere in the Code is this distinction more apparent than in the area of sex offenses, which encompasses a wide spectrum of degrees of social harm. At one end of this spectrum are acts which clearly involve dangerous behavior, such as non-consensual sexual acts and acts of sexual imposition on minors and incompetents. At the other end of the spectrum are sexual acts done in …
Liability For Maritime Oil Pollution: A Comparison Of The Maine Coastal Conveyance Act With Federal Liability Provisions, Maine Law Review
Liability For Maritime Oil Pollution: A Comparison Of The Maine Coastal Conveyance Act With Federal Liability Provisions, Maine Law Review
Maine Law Review
The increasing involvement of coastal states in the regulation of oil pollution within their territorial waters has raised serious questions about the constitutional validity of state legislation imposing liability on parties responsible for unlawful oil discharges. The admiralty clause of the United States Constitution provides that the judicial power of the United States extends to "all cases of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction." This grant to federal courts of original jurisdiction over all admiralty or maritime cases has been construed to be more than a grant of judicial competence. The United States Supreme Court has interpreted the admiralty clause to incorporate …
Shellfish Regulation: Conservation And Discrimination, Maine Law Review
Shellfish Regulation: Conservation And Discrimination, Maine Law Review
Maine Law Review
The economy of many coastal states depends heavily upon the shellfish industry. Shellfish such as lobsters and clams are an especially important marine resource for these states. In recent years, however, the supply of shellfish has experienced substantial declines. State laws that permit the harvesting of lobsters prior to sexual maturity, for example, have made the lobster industry dependent on the yearly additions to the lobster supply. The increasing demands for shellfish as well as the pollution of areas such as coastal clamflats have also contributed to the serious depletion of the shellfish resources in many areas. Despite the possible …
Stare Decisis, Maine Law Review
Stare Decisis, Maine Law Review
Maine Law Review
Stare decisis, a doctrine fundamental to common law decisionmaking, requires a court to resolve disputes within the framework provided by the rationales and results of prior cases addressed to similar legal and factual relations. It seeks to reconcile the law's two great warring imperatives, that which requires a rational scheme of consistent authority serving the broad social goals of predictability, uniformity, and finality, with that which demands individual results informed by principle and applied with flexibility and discretion—in a word, justice. On the one hand, by focusing on how legal theory has interacted with fact on correlative earlier occasions the …
Decriminalization: A New Consideration For The Fourth Amendment Balance, Maine Law Review
Decriminalization: A New Consideration For The Fourth Amendment Balance, Maine Law Review
Maine Law Review
During the past several years Maine has reevaluated the wisdom of applying criminal sanctions to certain forms of conduct. In addition to the total abrogation of a number of crimes, the Maine Legislature has reduced the statutory classification of some offenses to civil violations. Moreover, certain newly established offenses have been limited to the status of civil violations. The designation of offenses as "civil" raises the question of what constitutional safeguards should be applied to the manner in which such violations are investigated and to the process under which civil sanctions are administered. This Comment will summarize the Supreme Court's …

Dataset For Binding Of Bl-Crystallin With Models Of Animal And Human Eye Lens-Lipid Membrane, Preston Hazen, Geraline Trossi-Torres, Nawal K. Khadka, Raju Timsina, Laxman Mainali
Biophysics Research Data
Several discoveries show that with age and cataract formation, B-crystallin binds with the lens membrane or associates with other lens proteins, which bind with the fiber cell plasma membrane, accompanied by light scattering and cataract formation. However, how lipids (phospholipids and sphingolipids) and cholesterol (Chol) influence B-crystallin binding to the membrane is unclear. This research aims to elucidate the role of lipids and Chol in the binding of B-crystallin to the membrane and the membrane’s physical properties (mobility, order, and hydrophobicity) with B-crystallin binding. We used electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spin-labeling methods to investigate the binding of BL-crystallin with a …
