This project explores the complexities surrounding the transition of young adults with special needs into municipally operated supported housing in Denmark. This life-changing move is managed by local municipalities and ideally involves collaboration between the resident, their relatives, and a caseworker. Despite the intention of ensuring participation and involvement, practical and emotional challenges often limit meaningful inclusion. The project ’The Good Move-in’ enabled the researchers to examine how such transitions are currently handled and developed methods to strengthen the voice and self-determination of residents—particularly those with limited verbal communication. In countries with rapidly aging populations and shrinking workforces, socially assistive robots offer a potential solution to societal development. The robots' appearance serves as a clue to the various forms of interaction, indicating how safe it may be to interact with them and what functions to expect. This study develops sustainable materials using hydrogel as the matrix and explores the transition from sustainable materials to user-centered sustainability, with a particular focus on achieving art healing through material experience. The findings reveal that "Aesthetic" property exert the greatest influence on art healing in the context of multimodal material experiences involving visual, tactile, and smell, followed by "Intrinsic" property, whereas "Physical" property have a comparatively limited effect. Navigating complex spatial-semantic structures in immersive environments remains a key challenge in the digital preservation and public engagement of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). This paper presents a navigation interface that integrates Multiples and Multilevel Worlds-in-Miniatures (MM- WiMs) to support efficient and meaningful exploration of multi-scale cultural information in VR. We conducted three formative workshops to identify six design considerations in immersive ICH exploration. Based on our findings, we designed a dual-view interface combining overview and semantic detail perspectives. This research presents a qualitative study that explores how the needs of various stakeholders—such as designers, performers, and audiences—can be integrated into sustainable costume design practices. It also investigates principles for sustainable costume design based on biomaterials derived from fish processing waste. While service design is gaining growing traction in cultural contexts for its potential to activate cultural charm, existing research lacks clarity on what service design strategies can effectively enhance cultural authenticity in branding activities. This research aims to address the following questions: What service design strategies can effectively enhance consumers’ perception of cultural authenticity, and how? We conducted grounded theory to analyze semi-structured interview data collected from 11 interviewees. Marine ranching represents a new approach to sustainable fisheries by integrating social, technological, and ecological dimensions within the STES framework. This study applies the framework to 15 demonstration sites in Guangdong Province to examine how innovation, governance, and community participation interact with ecosystem health and biodiversity. Using regression and descriptive analyses, we identified key relationships: stakeholder engagement fosters technological adoption, sustainable technologies support ecosystem health, and community involvement strongly promotes biodiversity conservation. Moreover, biodiversity emerged as a strong predictor of water quality, underscoring its importance for maintaining resilient marine systems. This study presents the user-centered development and heuristic evaluation of a mobile application designed to support emotional care for children aged three to six during medical visits. Drawing on a spiral development model, the research integrated expert interviews, caregiver surveys, and user interviews to define user needs, identify use scenarios, and establish a comprehensive interaction structure. This study presents a hybrid design approach that integrates designer-led ideation with user-based empirical validation to develop physical actions for Lemmy, a two-wheeled companion robot for elderly users. Automation Surprise (AS) has traditionally been studied as a system‐ or user‐induced failure in high‐risk or safety‐critical domains. However, as automated vehicles (AVs) enter everyday mobility, wearguefora shift in perspective: from As as failure, to ASasalivedexperience. Based on the concept of cultural heritage authenticity, this study addresses key challenges such as insufficient semantic clarity and limited adaptability in the digitalization of cultural resources. It proposes a three-stage digitalization pathway: "cognitive authenticity, recording authenticity, expressive authenticity," and develops a structured methodological framework for applying digitalized cultural resources to design contexts. This paper examines the digitization of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), through the case of Ronghua, a traditional Chinese craft. We investigate the current practices in presenting and promoting the ICH craft-making process, gather insights on digitization, and propose key considerations and design implications through semi-structured interviews with 9 Ronghua craftspeople and three co-design workshops with 19 participants, including craftspeople, interaction designers, and end users.
