Information Environment Of Theatre And Media Arts Students In Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Yakub Olayinka Ahmed, Elizabeth Mojisola Shittu

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

This research work took a critical look at the information environment of Theatre and Media Arts Students of Federal University of Oye-Ekiti Ekit State. The study adopted was descriptive survey. The population was drawn from the undergraduate of Theatre and Media Arts with a population of 200. The study used the whole population as its sample size. Out of the 200 questionnaires administered, 190 copies were returned and found fit for analysis. The data were analysed using Statistical Percentage for Social Science. Recreational Sound Risk For A University Student: Case Study, Michele Wattman, Antony Joseph

AuD Capstone Projects - Communication Sciences and Disorders

Concern about noise exposure in recreational settings is growing and unsafe levels of sound are frequently being experienced in a variety of non-occupational settings such as pubs, nightclubs, concerts, parties, and fitness classes. Damage to the auditory system may occur with regular participation in these loud activities. A case study was conducted to estimate sound exposure levels and risk associated with common activities. Findings demonstrated that pubs presented a hazardous sound environment, so information about health-oriented behavior is essential to effectively improve hearing conservation awareness for university students. Public awareness and personal hearing protection should be strongly considered to prevent …

This study examined the Usage Patterns of Social Networking Sites (SNSs) amongst Undergraduate Students of Department of Theater and Film Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Jos, Nigeria. The study was guided by nine objectives. Survey research design was adopted for the study. The target population was all the 348 First year Students in the Department of Theater and Film Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Jos. 3210 English Undergraduate Research: Ethnography of the University

At Marquette University, there is a large gap between the number of students who show an interest in studying abroad and those who actually participate in the study abroad process. In order to gauge why this discrepancy occurs, students’ mindsets and perceptions about studying abroad are analyzed in relation to varying degrees of cultural competence. This paper addresses the need for research about cultural competence, ultimately addressing how Marquette students value cultural competence and how this value connects to their decision to study abroad.
