I am extremely happy because the quality of the students who are attending IBA is superb. It can be compared with any other institution in the world. We keep on hearing that the standards of education have gone down in Pakistan but as far as I am concerned in my five years at IBA, I have come across very smart boys and girls who are capable of getting an admission anywhere in the world. They choose IBA and get jobs right away, in fact even before they graduate they get job offers. They are sought after by employers both locally …

Processing Information According To Nlp And Its Impact On Learning The Skill Of Shooting From Jumping High, Iman Hamad Shehab, Entzar Juma Mubarak, Marwa Omar Moussa
Modern Sport
The study aimed to: (1) develop a learning curriculum based on information processing through Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) modalities—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic—for teaching the skill of jump shooting in handball; (2) identify the effect of the designed curriculum on the amount of information processing and learning the skill of jump shooting; and (3) examine differences among individuals with different NLP modalities (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) in their ability to process information and learn the jump shot skill. To achieve these objectives, the study hypothesized: (1) significant differences between pre- and post-test results in the ability to process information and in learning the …

Interdisciplinary Journal of Problem-Based Learning
We administered the Jefferson Scale of Empathy and the Groningen Reflection Ability Scale to 61 of 64 entering medical students who self-selected a problem-based learning curricular track and to 163 of 198 who self-selected a lecture-based track (response rates of 95.3% and 82.3%, respectively, with no statistically significant differences in mean age or sex). Mean empathy and self-reflection ability scores were significantly higher among students who chose problem-based learning. Women scored higher than men in empathy. Women choosing problem-based learning had the highest empathy scores. Studies comparing students’ performance and achievements in different curricular tracks should consider differences in personal …

K-12 Students See Steam Everyday, Meghan Reilly Michaud
The Transdisciplinary STEAM+ Journal
Today’s students exist in a visual world. A new semiotic language has emerged in the digital age. It consists of an ever-evolving vocabulary of signs and symbols that one can rapidly decipher. Icons represent applications and functions on a plethora of modern devices. Sounds indicate changes and the start and end of activity. The exposure of new audio and visual media are part of everyday communication, now more than ever. The Arts teach our students to better perceive these cues and the information that they deliver.

This Article argues why the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) Big-Time Division I College Football and Men’s Basketball student-athletes are legally “employees” and why these student-athletes are inadequately compensated for their revenue-producing skills.
Part II of this Article sets forth the common law “right of control” test and the National Labor Relation Act’s (NLRA) special statutory test for students in a university setting, and shows how the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the judiciary determine whether a particular person, specifically a university student, meets these standards and is legally an “employee”. Moreover, the NCAA asserts it does not have …

Law Schools Environments Study, Jacob S. Walker, Alf Pratt
Law Schools Environments Study, Jacob S. Walker, Alf Pratt
Journal of Undergraduate Research
The researchers aimed to establish a set of criteria for judging the environments at various law schools, and then apply these criteria to five national law schools. The students specifically examined the academic and social environments at each school as they relate to a Latter-Day Saint family. A review of the literature on married graduate students suggests areas of importance to the student’s family. An email survey was used to assess housing availability, transportation, community activities, ward activity and support, crime, faculty support, and financial aid. The results of the survey are presented and compared with other rankings of law …
