Leading For Social Justice: A Call To Action To Improve Society., Teresa L. G. Warner

Journal of Organizational & Educational Leadership

Social justice leadership provided in school and teacher leadership preparation programs is a way to meet the standards for school executives and teachers. Leaders are distracted from the importance of leading for social justice due to the pressures of accountability testing and the political outcry of the day. …

Skills of teamwork and team leadership are foundational for many types of law practice, but how much instruction, supervised experience, assessment, and guided reflection on these two skills did each reader as a law student receive? Law schools' formal curricula, in the author's experience, historically have not given much attention to the development of these skills. There also has been little legal scholarship on how most effectively to foster law students' growth toward later stages of teamwork and team leadership. Legal education must do better.

What is the next step for the 58 law schools that have adopted a learning …

The Principal And School Culture: An Exploration Of Principals Strengths Of Personality And The Collaborative Characteristics Of Schools, Chase R. Huotari

All-Inclusive List of Electronic Theses and Dissertations

The search for the factors that define an effective school have proved elusive. A look at the inputs of school (Coleman et al., 1966), the outputs of schools (Fund, 1961; National Manpower Council, 1964), and the schools themselves, have led to a lot of research but not to a formula proven to result in an effective school for all kids. Although the research has yet to land on a formula for school improvement, the building principal and the culture of the school are mentioned often as factors that just may lead to the improvement in schools so often sought out. …

The barriers they face in pursuing senior leadership roles entail variables which are both multi-faceted and multi-layered. This phenomenological qualitative research …
