Pakistan's economy is agricultural and pastoral. From 1150 to 1991 its forest cover declined from an estimated 28 million ha to 4,6 million ha and population increased from 1.2 to 112 million. rn addition to. increasing population, government irrigation projects for colonisation, in road of agriculture into forestry and construction of barrages over rivers caused deforestation. This has increased soil erosion, siltation of dams and the gap in production and demand of wood: biodiversity has been adversely affected and mangrove forests have degraded. The objective of this study is to systematically map all meetings of the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) and the General Assemblies (GA) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to extract, compile, and organize all relevant statements made Member States regarding the proposed Broadcasting Treaty.

The analysis was based on publicly available data from the WIPO website, particularly the official pages dedicated to each SCCR and GA meeting. Our primary focus was on statements recorded in the official "Report" document of each session. When available, we also examined supplementary documents, such as the "Summary by the …

Primary documents are great tools that allow teachers to show their students differing perspectives on a topic that they are teaching and can come in the form of speeches, newspapers, letters, books, academic works, and legal documents. Computed tomography (CT) imaging has become a cornerstone of modern medical diagnostics, thanks to the groundbreaking work of Sir Godfrey Hounsfield. However, the significant role played by his employer, Electric and Musical Industries (EMI), in providing financial support for his research is often overlooked. In this paper, we explore the connection between EMI's success in the music industry, particularly its signing of the Beatles, and Hounsfield's pioneering work on CT imaging. EMI’s success in the music industry provided the financial stability for Hounsfield's research endeavors. In 1971, he developed the first CT scanner, which revolutionized diagnostic medicine. Information literacy is crucial to satisfying a lawyer’s duty of technology competence by virtue of its inherent role in conducting legal research—a skill now recognized by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) as a priority as it prepares for the NextGen Bar Exam. In light of the rapid rise in the number of attorneys facing disciplinary issues across the country, it is the NCBE’s responsibility to draw upon its rich history to address information literacy as a technological competency on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam to protect the public from newly licensed lawyers’ incompetent use of generative artificial intelligence.

Journal of Indigenous Research

Historic relationships with the federal government, converged with the strong cultural heritage, autonomy and self-reliance of the Metlakatla Indian Community (MIC) created foundations for strategic resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sentinel milestone events impacting the MIC during the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, initiated by the President of the United States, Congress, and the Federal Courts, are analyzed in the context of their impact and support of evolving tribal-centered development and enaction of protections for the MIC.

Naḥal Tut (Site Viii): A Fortified Storage Depot From The Late Fourth Century Bce (Pp. 131–189), Yardenna Alexandre

Excavations at the site revealed a large building complex, comprising casemate walls built on bedrock around a large central courtyard with corner towers. It was a well-planned and well-fortified complex, located at a strategic point. The complex was occupied for a brief period of time, at the very end of the Persian (Achaemenid) period and the very beginning of the Hellenistic period (c. 350–325 BCE). It was destroyed by a violent destruction, which claimed human victims. The destruction was dated by a single bronze coin of Alexander III to 336–323 BCE. The pottery finds at the site were homogenous, including …

It was the 90s, as the kids say. The Pentecostal church where we worshipped in Stratford, Ontario, was swept up in the revival rippling from Airport Vineyard in nearby Toronto. Announcement of the City of Savannah Municipal Archives' Community Memory Project, an initiative to collect and preserve the stories and memories of Savannah's diverse communities. The project invites all Savannah residents to contribute their photographs, stories, and artifacts that document the city's rich history and cultural heritage. Its first project is a collection of funeral programs (primarily African American), now available via the Digital Library of Georgia.
