This work was written to present selected portions of Missouri history, using the approach of anecdotal records interspersed with factual material. It focuses on the lives of the common people rather than the usual heroes concentrates on their of daily history books. It lives, their feelings, their beliefs, and their questions and fears.

The information was magazines, newspapers, and Some of the information is gathered personal factual; from books, conversations. some is a collection of happenings and customs which undoubtedly have been altered and amended a s they were handed down through generations.

Rusticus: Notes On Class And Culture In Rural New Hampshire, Donald Hall

Old New Hampshire Highway Number Four was incorporated by an act of the New Hampshire legislature in the autumn of 1800. It wound out of Portsmouth, a seaport that once rivaled Boston, drove west through Concord, north past Penacook, through Boscawen, Salisbury, Andover, and Wilmot on its way to Lebanon and the Connecticut River. These names string history like beads. The Penacook tribe assembled each year on the banks of the Merrimack at the site of the present town that bears their name. The history and development of the Counseling Center at Bucks County Community College is presented in a chronological manner starting in 1965. The goal of this paper is to explain the evolution of this Counseling Center from a medical model to an instructional model and to detail its influence on the college community. This history was structured around six components: curriculum, organization, methodologies (models), finances, student characteristics, and people. The Charitable Endeavors Of Archbishop John Joseph Lynch, C.M., Gerald Stortz

Vincentian Studies

Archbishop John Joseph Lynch, C.M. successfully ran existing charities and founded new ones for Irish Catholic immigrants in Toronto. He partnered with the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and delegated leadership of other charities to its members. Lynch was the main financial support of the House of Providence, which housed orphans and the elderly. He established the Saint Nicholas Home for Newsboys and the Notre Dame Institute, a home for working Catholic girls. He worked with the Saint John Temperance Society and the Toronto Savings Bank; the latter was supposed to help persons who were poor save money. Other …
