Leveraging Custom Gpt Bots To Enhance Learning In Economics, Larisa Ray

Teaching Repository of AI-Infused Learning

Students engage with instructor-designed GPT-powered bots (e.g., ECONOHelper, Owlnomics, Alpha (student bot)) to practice applying economic theories and solving structured case studies. Bots are programmed to withhold direct answers initially, prompting students with guiding questions to stimulate analysis before offering feedback or clarification.

For example:

  • In Microeconomics, ECONOHelper helps students interpret supply and demand graphs, calculate elasticity, and analyze pricing strategies for products such as Tesla’s Cybertruck or staple foods.
  • In Macroeconomics, Owlnomics guides students through models such as Aggregate Expenditures (AE) and AD-AS, asking them to predict outcomes of fiscal and monetary policies in real-world-inspired scenarios like “Larissaland” or …

Stimming Toward Something: Misreading, Method, And Neuroqueer Becoming, Kara Fahringer-Baer Dec 2025

Stimming Toward Something: Misreading, Method, And Neuroqueer Becoming, Kara Fahringer-Baer

Ought: The Journal of Autistic Culture

This autotheoretical piece examines the epistemic injustices faced by a neurodivergent individual in higher education, tracing how institutional cultures demand legibility while extracting and erasing the knowledge produced at their margins. Drawing on the personal experience of a queer, cis-passing, neurodivergent scholar-practitioner in the U.S. community college system, the narrative enacts theory through lived friction, institutional residue, and creative refusal. By naming the margins as method, the piece offers both scholars and practitioners a framework for recognizing how neuroqueer ways of knowing unsettle dominant logics while making new forms of understanding possible.

Joint Action (In)Action: A Communicatively Constituted Examination Of Shared Governance, Organizational Sustainability, And The Future Of Liberal Arts In Institutions Of Higher Education, Rebecca R. Todd

USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations

There are at least two versions of higher education today. One is that universities and curriculum need to be reformed to suit contemporary exigencies, particularly market-driven logics and direct paths to desirable job and career outcomes. The other is the story in this dissertation, namely, that the liberal arts hold value for the creation of new knowledge, critical thinking, and empowerment. With this admittedly one-sided corrective to the dominant narrative of higher education, this abstract and dissertation begin.

In the contemporary landscape of American higher education, the liberal arts are under siege. Once heralded as the cornerstone of democratic citizenship …
