The aim is to provide patients with the opportunity to review their discharge instructions and seek clarification prior to their procedure.

Background: Roughly 75 million endoscopies are conducted annually in the United States. The majority, 68%, are gastrointestinal endoscopies. Routine endoscopy procedures such as a colonoscopy or esophagogastroduodenoscopy utilize moderate sedation which is often a combination of midazolam and fentanyl. Active transportation modes such as walking and biking are gaining popularity for their extensive health and environmental benefits, yet scholars know little about how place-based accessibility varies by area sociodemographic composition. This study is among the first to examine sociodemographic disparities (by both race and socioeconomic status) in bikeability while allowing for heterogeneity in disparities. Consideration of bikeability disparities is particularly critical within the framework of urban planning concepts that promote equitable accessibility and reduced dependency on automobiles, such as the 15-minute city. This study examines how students at a Rwandan high school understand phenomena related to the fundamental physics of Earth's climate, with a specific emphasis on the effects of solar radiation and energy. We conducted ten interviews with students in high school science classes in Bugesera district, Rwanda. Interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed, and (when necessary) translated from Kinyarwanda to English. Transcripts were analyzed through the lens of the resources theoretical framework, a constructivist theory that models science learning as activating, connecting, and refining "seeds of science," or conceptual resources, that are already available in the minds of learners." This project explores the impact of various testimonial methods on young adults at Christ Lincoln, focusing on their ability to share personal testimonies. The study employs a multi-faceted approach, incorporating cinemeducation, biblical narratives, live personal testimonies, and journaling. Through a series of seminars and interviews, it was found that all these methods are impactful in building connections, strengthening faith, and deepening vulnerability, which in turn fosters relationships. The intertwining of God's grand narrative with personal stories brought hope and encouragement to participants. Drawing on theories of deliberative democracy, this article analyzes initiatives in educational settings to develop deliberative capabilities—defined here as a person's motivation and abilities to explain their views based on thoughtful considerations, reciprocal engagement, and more inclusive and respectful communication. Building and expanding on previous education experiences and citizen assemblies, we propose an integrated approach that includes: (a) peer learning, (b) playful and performative activities, and (c) authentic discussions about controversial political issues in small groups. Written by adults who have been engaged side-by-side with youth activism, the purpose of this article is to better understand what adult solidarity and support look like according to youth activists themselves as we grapple with the unintentional mechanisms of reinforcing oppressive power dynamics between young people and adults in activist communities. The language used to describe racial disparities in education may inadvertently influence how we address them. Framing such disparities as “achievement gap” rather than as “inequality in educational outcomes” assumes a deficit thinking mindset, shifting focus from the structural injustices contributing to education disparities to individuals, resulting in decreased prioritization of racial equity (Quinn & Desruisseaux, 2022).
