Children in state care face numerous challenges, particularly when it comes to equitable access to education. Many of the issues affecting this access are beyond the youths' control and stem from the communication among various child welfare stakeholders. This qualitative ethnographic study examines the communication patterns between key environments, including the home, school, and broader child welfare community, to identify strengths and gaps in these communication patterns. The emergency department (ED) plays a critical role in addressing a wide range of healthcare needs and can be the first point of contact for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). Buprenorphine, a partial opioid agonist, is a medication that helps treat OUD. On January 12, 2023, federal changes removed a major barrier, allowing all clinicians to prescribe buprenorphine. Later in 2023, a Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) program was implemented in a high-volume free-standing ED. We aimed to review the impact of these changes on buprenorphine administration.

This research paper explores the unique accessibility challenges faced by disabled postgraduate students and what can be done to address them. Testimonies and formal studies alike show how disabled graduate students have to deal with stigmatizing attitudes from their instructors (especially if they hold intersectional marginalized identities) on top of systemic barriers such as strict deadlines, unsustainably heavy workloads, inaccessible travel requirements, and disability services that are not suited to undergraduate needs. Morocco: Human Rights, Social Justice, and Cultural Transformation

Following a series of executive orders administered by the Trump administration in January 2025, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID abruptly withdrew from Morocco, leaving an impact on education and development. Using qualitative methods, including six semi-structured interviews with USAID personnel, partners, and local NGOs, the study captures the personal, financial, and operational effects of this sudden cessation. The paper highlights how USAID's localized, inclusive approach had catalyzed significant educational initiatives and collaborative development models, many of which were disrupted or completely dismantled. : In the summer of 2024, Louisiana’s governor signed House Bill 71 (HB71), which mandated all K-12 schools to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms. While proponents of the bill claim it serves a secular purpose to promote morality and historical literacy, precedent cases like Stone v. Graham (1980) suggest otherwise. By requiring the display of the Ten Commandments in public classrooms, HB71 is a violation of the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause found in the First Amendment. Each year, roughly 600,000 individuals are released from state and federal prisons; 6,960 in Minnesota alone. After incarceration, employment is vital to successful reentry for justice-impacted individuals, yet many depart without the necessary education and skills. Consistent post-release employment is associated with decreased recidivism rates, regardless of the individual’s criminal record. This population deserves support in preparing for employment upon reentry.

This study employed a three-round Delphi study technique to identify key elements in speed development coaching by surveying 106 qualified coaches, including certified professionals, championship-winning coaches, facility operators, and NCAA strength-and-conditioning specialists. This study explored five critical domains: nonnegotiable elements of speed development, decision-making factors for teaching priorities, effective teaching methods, environmental influences, and coaching philosophies. The results revealed a significant emphasis on technique/mechanics and maximum velocity exposure as foundational speed development elements, with notable differences between elite-level and lower-level coaches. In Part 1 of our interview, JoAnna Mendez discusses her Mexican heritage, emphasizing her parents' strict upbringing and the importance of education within her family.
