Educational Opportunities For Pregnant Students In Selected Utah Schools, Pearl Bergeson
Educational Opportunities For Pregnant Students In Selected Utah Schools, Pearl Bergeson
All Graduate Plan B and other Reports, Spring 1920 to Spring 2023
Education of women has been neglected in many ways throughout history. In recent decades educational opportunities for women have been greatly expanded. Women have become leaders in education and compose the majority of public school teachers. In spite of these strides in women's education, and growing educational provisions for both men and women, some special groups remain neglected.
This investigator is particularly concerned with one special group: School-age girls who are pregnant. Special educational needs of most school-age pregnant girls are not being met. These young women often face insurmountable difficulties in the schools.

A Study Of Computer Use In A Graduate School Of Business, Henry C. Jr. Lucas, David B. Montgomery, Jean Claude Larreche
Research Collection Lee Kong Chian School Of Business
In the past six years, U.S. business schools have greatly expanded their use of computers in teaching and research. In 1966, only 11 percent of the business schools required student proficiency in programming; by 1970, the total had risen to 62 percent and is undoubtedly higher today. In 1971, the Graduate School of Business (GSB) at Stanford acquired a dedicated time-sharing system to replace the time-sharing services provided by the Stanford Computation Center (SCC). A study of computer usage in the GSB and of the impact of the dedicated time-sharing system was con- ducted; detailed results may be found in. …

The Role And Role-Performance Of Members Of County Extension Advisory Committees As Perceived By Selected Committee Members And County Extension Directors In Florida., William Carlton Smith Jr
LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses
The purpose of this study was to investigate Florida County Extension Directors* and county Extension advisory committee members* perception of the roles and role performance of county Extension advisory committees. This purpose evolved from Extension personnel experiencing varying degrees of success in the committee approach to Extension program development. In Trinidad and Tobago, about twenty-five to thirty thousand children of the ten to eleven-plus age group, in their attempt to obtain a free place in one of the government or assisted secondary schools, present themselves annually to write the Common Entrance Examination, a selective examination administered by the Ministry of Education and Culture. School places have been available, within the decade, for about 3,000 to 6,000 new entrants from the primary schools, but recently the number has increased to over 10,000 with the introduction of a two-shift system in new. Junior Secondary Schools. ' These …

Biography And The Curriculum, Daniel R. Denicola

In recent years many critics have written of the pervasive dehumanization and possible rehumanization of education. Plighting their troth to the autonomy and integrity of the human person, these commentators scour the educational landscape in search of policies and practices that depersonalize.
