The purpose of this study was twofold: to formulate an aerospace education handbook providing pertinent information and material which may be woven into existing sixth grade courses in the elementary curriculum and to make a careful evaluation of one aerospace program in a sixth grade classroom. The problems were: (1) selection and organization of appropriate information and material for the handbook; (2) determining suggested teaching procedures and activities; and (3) preparation and administration of evaluative instruments for the program.

The purposes of this study were (1) to determine the academic and professional backgrounds of the superintendent and their relative value to his present position, (2) to determine what superintendents would recommend to be included in a course of study for prospective administrators, (3) to establish a value rating on a number of personal characteristics generally considered among the most important for administrators, and (4) to compare the status of the school administrator in the State of Washington with that of the nation as a whole.

A readily available source of supply for light metal material is discarded metal containers. The region under study in this report consists of Daggett County, Utah, the northwestern section of Moffat County, Colorado, and the southwestern area of Sweetwater, Wyoming. It is an area about fifty miles in length and seventeen miles in width, with a population of some four hundred and fifty persons in 1950. The economy was based upon agriculture which prevented the growth of large towns and determined a characteristic of a sparse population living in a comparatively large area. Isolated from Utah by a huge mountain range, the people of Daggett County were closer, in many respects, to the affairs …

This is a problem that small one and two teacher schools have faced for many decades and with recent increased enrollments, has carried over to large city schools as well. The purpose of this study has been to determine the effectiveness of the health instructional program in the secondary class B schools in the State of Washington. Through the survey technique, 119 schools were contacted and questioned in relation to: (1) the various methods of organizing health classes; (2) attitudes of the instructor toward teaching health; and (3) the college preparation of health instructors.
