The General Chemistry 1 (SCC 201) course has been designated for the core competency of Inquiry and Problem Solving along with the Written Communication Ability. These abilities are best observed in the laboratory section of the course where SCC 201 students are asked to submit weekly written lab reports that range in chemistry topics from chemical structures to the chemical analysis of polluted environments. This assignment was designed for students in the pathways introductory chemistry class and the first year seminar and aligns with the Inquiry and Problem Solving core competency. In this context, there is a focus on “framing the issues” (identifies and/or addresses questions and problems), “evidence gathering” (assembles, reviews and synthesizes evidence from several diverse sources), “evidence” (analyze the data to address the questions posed) and “conclusions” (critical thinking, reflect on the outcomes, draw conclusions and generate new knowledge). The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
Haplorchis taichui is a trematode that can mature in the small intestine of mammals and birds, including humans. Larval stages occur in various invertebrate and cold-blooded vertebrate hosts. The purpose of this study was to investigate parasite growth, including worm recovery rate, the body size of adult worms, eggs per worm and eggs per gram of feces and pathological changes of the small intestine in experimental hamsters. In this study, 6- to 8-weekold male Syrian hamsters (Mesocricetus auratus) were each infected with 200 H.taichui metacercariae and then sacrificed at weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 post-infection. The development of this learning package aims to produce inquiry-based teaching materials, teacher guides, and appropriate student guides, and to determine their effectiveness in learning. Development of this learning package using the development model of learning package is tested in SMK-PP Negeri Banjarbaru on Biology-based learning inquiry in class X second semester. The validation of the product is done by three experts namely media experts, design experts, and material experts. The result of the research was obtained by the appropriate and effective learning package used in the learning.
